Which sets you are most looking forward for (other than mobile crane)?

Probably the School set as we’ve never had one in Town/City before.

I hope the wait is worth it!

Agreed - quite excited to see a Lego school bus

Also think the lifeguard station could be pretty novel

I think i was not clear thanks to my sign lanauge translated into  English here.

I was just asking if any one is looking forward as in being excited about.

Oh! Definitely the school. The police station, fire station and hospital are also on my list. But I've kinda seen those before in City with police stations being the one I've seen the most.

I'd like to see how LEGO will design both the smaller budget (€60) Fire Station and Police Station for 2022 , I actually loved the 2019 Fire Station size.

Now they have road plates I wish they would make smaller budget police station sets that connect. The 2019 one could have added on a side building with a boat. I think it be great to have a small junk of a police station and every year release 2-3 sets that connect. Like Hogwarts, just keep adding on. My hometown has a fire station and police station in one building, I'd love being able to connect smaller builders together.

I do like the idea of a budget friendly police station and a robberie scenario as the biggest set, I like this moves by Lego

The My City subtheme for next year sounds really good as those buildings referred in the list are neither new or uncommon, I'm trying to make a city display using roadplates sets, and this almost fulfills it, I do hope we get a good ambulance and a nice fire engine, funny that next year's fire station is going to include one, not a small command vehicle as the past versions (I'm talking about 2005's 7240 and 2019's 60215) I do hope these don't include a huge amount of roadplates making the buildings a small facade :(

Yeah, I don’t remember seeing School set in the past years.  I gotta say I’m excited to see offical image of that one.

Even tho there is no leaked description for Horse Transporter, I’m looking forward for it.

And lifeguard station too.

Sorry about confusion!

Excellent!

Yeah we will see some offical images pretty soon. Hopefully in a few weeks.

The Dockside Fire set did help the 2019 station a bit, as the dock connected to it at either the side or the front (grey technic bricks at the dock with pin holes) , so yes I agree expandable sets are nice, I'd like to see more of that with the Road plates.

People can say what they want about those road plates. But they do very well for town builders like myself. Especially young ones. A simple town planning system is what I call it.

Yeah, sets that can combine and expand are great! And the new road plates are a good opportunity to facilitate that going forward, with sets that complement each other being able to be arranged side by side. For instance, I'm quite eager to see what the first post-road plate train sets look like, and how they factor that new form of compatibility into connecting layouts.

However, I'm not entirely sure whether it'd be entirely practical the way they describe (with major facilities like fire or police stations being able to be combined with future versions). Releasing two sets that connect alongside each other is fairly easy, but designing a set that can be expanded and committing to that feature year after year even if it means doing that instead of other non-compatible options isn't always the best course of action—and unlike a simultaneous release, the audience who will actually be able to take full advantage of the combining feature decreases over time as older sets retire. For things like police and fire stations, you'd also have to factor in that some "essential" features might quickly become redundant when combining multiple "flagship" stations—features like helipads and fire poles may test well with kids but how many would a realistic "combined" station really need? Ultimately it might be smarter to stick with designing each iteration of those staple facilities on its own merits first and foremost—older or more skilled builders will still probably be able to find ways to combine the features they like with a bit of old-school rebuilding.

I didn't even notice that. I was hoping for a building to stick the boat in but that's neat itself.

I for one love the new road plates. Change is sometimes difficult but the new road plates can be used in so many different ones. Plus if you want the old style roads I'd buy third party brands because they have more styles and so much cheaper.

A foal from CMF series’ leaflet has been leaked!

I ownder if a foal would show up in Horse Transporter. I mean I’m surprised is no desertion on that set yet…

Is the horse transporter a January or March release? If it's January I'd say no, if it's March I'd say maybe. I can't see LEGO releasing a new animal in a CMF series at the same time as a common set.

I guess you are right. I think it’s January but, folks, pleas correct me if I’m wrong.

If it has a different colour they might do it :sceptic:

Yeah! Hopefully it would happen but we will see. :classic:

also, I don’t think there is any news on squirrel mold at the moment.

According to promobricks.de it will be available in January.

Maybe I'm wrong, but personally I don't think the squirrel is Lego... it was far too big, and as far I remember (just saw the picture once), there wasn't any stud on it. Don't think there has been a studless animal (mammal) ever in the regular lineup.

The mobil crane is splendid, I'm glad it's (bright) yellow instead of the rumored orange. It's the best construction set in years! However the rumored price of 40€ leaves me thinking what we can expect from a police station (including garbage truck & helicopter) or school with bus for 60€ each. I really hope the building aren't just two studs deep!

I forgot the dolphin, but didn't all the cats and dogs have a stud on their back?

Nope

And a squirrel is more comparable with a rat/ mouse / rabbit in this context anyways, surely?

True. Well let's hope some pictures will show up soon. Squirrels will be a great addition for forest layouts. Bought the Santa's sleigh just for the deers recently.

Is the new foal reddish-brown in colour? Or is it a new colour of horse? Finding it hard to make exact colour matches with the CMF22 images we have seen. I guess that’s one if the reasons that they don’t like shonky leaked photos!

Yup…. Williejm made some good point.

That’s why I’m exited about that squirrel mold. I’m not sure about that “new” dog mold - I think it’s suppsogo for Freinds? Anyways, i’m hoping squirrel mold will show up in any lego set - a Forest really needs squirrel for sure.

Won't happen. Why would people pay $5 for a figure when they can get a whole set for $30? (Or however much it is.) LEGO would wait a little bit and then do a recolor.
