Won't happen. Why would people pay $5 for a figure when they can get a whole set for $30? (Or however much it is.) LEGO would wait a little bit and then do a recolor.

Eh i don’t know…. I mean, Lego is unpredictable.

If really lucky, it's 2 horses, a foal and 2 people in horseriding clothes, and maybe some haybales  or fences / jumping bar , but to me a recolored foal would seem more likely in a bigger farm set (if it's a summer theme)

If it's 2 horses, it's probably a Brown one and a Tan one as those were the last in production , but if white or black horse comes back via a City set I like that as well, or maybe a new color + print.

Ohh, I like your idea on Horse Transporter set! But two horse, one foal and two minifigures? It’s a bit too much for a medium-sized set. I can’t remember what is a price or count piece on that set tho. But still I like your idea!

I think one horse, one foal and two minifigures sound about right to me but I dunno. I mean there is no description yet.

Yes, I would love to see horses Recolored in black or white, rather than brown and tan.

I'd like to know where people think a Farm subtheme is coming from. Is it a rumour or wishful thinking?

The last farm theme was a failure, they were 50% at S@H. Since then they give us 1 farm related thing a year. Next year it's a horse set.

I think LEGO is slowly getting back the farm theme for Lego city, if this goes well, I'm sure we'll see a brand new farm with lots of details this time, I wish they do a barn and brand new moulds for animals such as cows and pigs, haven't see those in a while

It's more wishful thinking based on patterns of a €10-€20 vehicle appearing 1 year, and then a larger set(s) for summer, which so far happened with things like:

2018 Snowboard helicopter -> 2019 Snow Groomer -> Ski Resort

2019 Diving Yacht -> 2020 Diving subtheme

2020 Safari offroader -> 2021 Safari theme

2020 Stunt Team -> 2021 Stuntz

2021 Tractor -> 2022 Horse Transporter > 2022 ? ? ? Summer ? ? ?

Nothing confirmed at all, but now that Police went more "normal" again instead of Swamp/Forest/Mountain Police etc, there seems to be more room for outdoorsy City subthemes like the 2020 Diving and 2021 Safari.

Agreed. I would love to see a barn or farmhouse sets. And more animals. No goat, cow, rooster, or even donkey, which we are hoping to see them in lego set one day.

Iit’s just wishlist / speculation.

So you are just grasping at strays.

You forgot the Harvester Transport and Forest Tractor. Several sets and still no Farm set.
The Stunt Team 2020 set is a remake of an older set, that older set didn't lead to anything.
We got a passenger train and cargo train and no train station.

We got a mail plane I guess we will get a post office! (Two mail planes, not post office)

I was going to say about Harvest Transproter.

Well, Harvester Tractor is considered as a Farming set… why wouldn’t Tractor being related to a Farming? Unless it’s a tree farm but I don’t think Forest Tractor is a farm set tho.

It's just things that happened in the past, not trying to say every set has to lead to something, it's 100% speculation with a bit of wishlisting.

I could name many sets that didn't lead to anything, like Desert Rally Racer , no City Desert, etc.

But anyway, hopefully we'll see the winter 2022 sets soon, I'm thinking too far ahead about summer 2022.

Yes, we did have several theories in the past.

Yeah, you are right about Desert Rally Racer, I totally forgot about that one! And I don’t think we have any lunar set that would lead to Lunar subtheme in March 2022.

I'm hoping for a farm set with a barn and solo, but I've been disappointed for 11-12 years now. Plus the last one was... lacking. :laugh:

I do not think that say much since if I do not remember wrong they had heavy discounts back in the day whenever a subthemes time was up, to get them quickly of the shelf's. It even had 1,5 waves, why release more sets if the first ones sold poorly :sceptic:

I had dinner on the inside tour with a City designer in 2019 and asked about farm sets. From what I can remember other subthemes had done better when they was testing it in target groups. E.g. maybe they made some farm sets and some police sets and the police sets was more liked among the kids (I am not sure exactly how they do it). Anyway this can be changing since several farm sets has apparently passed the test lately and made it out on to the shelf's. In addition the safari subtheme was very animal focused, so maybe a farm subtheme focused 50/50 on animals and vehicles is not so unlikely now :classic:

The farm sets that have made it are vehicles, vehicles sell. Space and Arctic are clearly the biggest sellers of the subthemes. If farm was a big seller they would have remade it some point in the last 12 years. I'm hopeful we might get a one of farm set building, aka barn, but I don't even think that's likely. I don't see a whole theme with a bunch of new animals being made.

Eh, Arctic (2018) was probably a big seller because of woolly mammoth and saber-toothed tiger, I guess.

I would think a farm subtheme gonna be a big seller because of animals like, uh, goat? Cow? Donkey? Rooster? Calf? We already have sheep, pigs, horses, rabbits, crows, and a few mores I ca’t think of. Without animals, what is a purpose farm subtheme to be sold well? Take a look at Safari and Ocean subthemes - they have vehicles AND animals.

I would love to see some cool vechiles like a classical pickup truck or a hay transproter. Not just a barn but I will like to see a farmhouse (rural counterpart to Family House). This is my wishlist, by the way…

Anyways, I still think animals help sets being sold well.

I’m sure some AFOLs will be excited for farm animals, like myself, Roebuck Williejm.

LEGO will never bring the goat back. One of the designers wanted to use it with the Jurassic Park gate set and the mold was no longer good. I don't know how it went bad so quickly.

The first Farm theme didn't sell well and had chickens and pigs and cows and such.

I wonder if a 2022 Fire set will use the new stud/tile shooter seen in the new Iron man set.

The triple tile shooter was mostly used in Fire 2019, but looks pretty bad with the axle sticking out.

The spring loaded 2 wide brick showed up in a spiderman set first, and now was used in fire sets in 2021, and the new fire pieces are pretty cool targets, also looks better in a System set compared to the older Technic cannon, and it allows projectile colors like the older ball shooters.

I don't display sets with studs in them, but this new one does look pretty cool variant of the old 2015 one , especially as it seems to fit both studs and tiles, which the old one cannot, also the trigger seems more sturdy against accidental firing but gotta see it in action first.

I don't think that's how it works.

If they only planned to use the mold for one set, it was probably a cheaper mold that wouldn't need to stand up to millions of uses.

And if it was cheap enough to create the mold for one set then, it mostly likely is now too. Assuming they can use multiple in one set.

That's because according to Picklebricks, which is a pretty reliable source, the police and fire subthemes merged into one subtheme following the success of the City Adventures television program and the main characters of that show are cops and firefighters. So they only release them little by little every year. Tbh, I don't mind this new way of distribution as it makes room for other sets like the newly revealed mobile crane or the upcoming school day set.

I would love to see the return of Swamp/Mountain/Forest Police subthemes or speical subtheme for Firefighters. It’s just cool to see them outside the urban area.  But yeah Poodabricks made a point

I still don't understand why the animal molds for Friends and City are different. Just paint them differently (if manga eyes are necessary) and Lego could cut some costs and give us more different species. Why is it possible for Playmobil to make a so many animals each year for decades and sell those, but Lego claims e.g. farm sets don't sell?

I don't think a subtheme is needed for that. The Lego designers should go to some fire brigade for one week, look what they are doing and make realistic sets. Just show the kids a glimpse of true life.

Really? I thought there was subtheme for Firefighter? Like Forest Fire? I guess i am wrong then.
