Agreed, there’s not always a coherent logic to this (see also baby crocodile in Marvel CMF, but not in Wildlife Rescue sets)

To me that's more LEGO wants that exclusive to the CMF so you spend $5 on a figure.

You bring up a good point though. Do they pieces from CMF have an exclusive period? The sci-fi ray gun is used all the time, some of the animals have been in City sets. Maybe we will get the baby croc in the Animal Rescue 'Mission' set.

Probably, we don’t know much at the moment.

Same here. I don’t want to buy more sets for that GWP set.

I know who that “someone” was. :) and this is my prediction too.

I don't even remember who that "Someone" was, I forget his ID, how can you know

The CMF baby sea turtle was used 2 years later in a set (the beach, this year, new colors). It seems like there is 1-2 years before they use the parts to not hurt CMF sales. I would expect the baby croc to be used eventually, same with the new Foal.

I agree, but LEGO doesn't always for some reason. Some dogs have been reused, others haven't.

All CMF dog moulds (chihuahua, french bulldog, terrier, dachshund) have reappeared in sets, BAM or further CMFs.

The pattern is that every CMF animal gets reused as it is, or in new colour /print. Sometimes that is almost immediate (like the skunk, chameleon, snakes), but with others used more recently we are still waiting (namely mouse, flamingo, hermit crab, baby croc)

For some reason I thought they skipped only one dog, like the hotdog dog. I wish LEGO would use the dogs more than one year, besides the husky and the german shepherd, it seems like LEGO does one dog a year and moves on. The pitbulls were one year, last year was the guide dog.

Dachshund reappeared in black & tan in the BAM.

Yeah the dogs introduced into the actual City line are weird decisions - like one year two bulldogs, one year two retrievers, but usually just the same old shepherd or throw in a husky … odd to my mind that they don’t make more of the moulds when they exist. Think we will see the retriever mould reused in a new colour for the dog in the Marvel Hawkeye series at some point though.

BAM doesn't count as most of us can't make it to stores. I mean in widely available sets.

The retrievers should be redone as LEGO made the harness piece just for that dog. If we don't get more vision impaired minifigures I'll be very upset.

Harness was also made for the police dogs, but that was in the set that was canned.

Ah yes, that black harness in the cancelled set, isn’t it?

It's the same dog mold through so the harness must have been made to only fit that one dog mold.

Yes. The other one was lime green.

No, the harness fits both the retriever and the shepherd, at least

Oh good! So we will probably never see the golden retriever again. :head_back:

Well it looks like we soon can buy BAM online on shop@home and the black/tan dachshund was used in the example

It would be a great news for us!

I think there will be a farm-related polybag product this summer.

Agreed. And likely one or two farm tie in poly bags on the Lego City magazines

I'm VERY worried about the changes to PAB and B&P but the BAM online thing I hope will be as decent as they promised, even if the prices aren't anywhere near correct for USD.

But still I meant the new dogs are only used for one year in City sets and that's always weird to me.

@Mr No made a comment in Lego Sci-Fi thread. He did mention something about spaceship building ship coming out in the third quarter of this year. The name is “Your Galactic Mission”. It sounds like it’s Mars Exploration Missions to me.

It has leaked on Instagram. Seems a very jumbled silly set, with lots of random parts like plants and leaves!
