Oh a bendy bus would be fun. I would always sat in the middle section to get my ex sick. It would get me sick too, but he got sick first.

Construction and anything with boats. The new road pieces in brown would be perfect for docks.

The train station (which sounds more like a transit center from the description) and the grocery store are the sets I look forward to the most for the summer.

I love almost all LEGO Train stations, besides what I think was the last one which looked like a T-Station in a ghetto.

The T is the train system in Boston. Outside the city some of the stations are meh.

That's a regular bus. There is that cliff scene where the double bus / camper thing is being pushed off the cliffs because someone kidnapped the baby.

That’s a mobile lab. And so? I just need a city bus…

If it were up to me, all vital civilian services (i.e. doctors and paramedics, construction workers, public transit workers (including passenger train drivers and station managers), postal/cargo workers (including cargo train and mail train drivers), food service workers, towers, sanitation engineers, etc) would get their own dedicated subthemes alongside police and fire. As Lego stated about subthemes for City, it opens opportunities for broad ranges of sets - which to be honest, City has done an exceptionally decent job of lately. While great vehicles and town would be merged to support less important lines of work such as taxi drivers or beach patrols. Out of the city subthemes such as ocean exploration, Stuntz (which judging from the box art, it seems to take place in a deserted area than in the city), wildlife rescue, space and farm, which is in the same universe as City, would get special treatment under a spin-off theme called Beyond the City Limits. I actually did a logo of how I'd do it.

The only difference is that I'd do a wooded background or a desert landscape instead of the blue background.

Does an egg splat piece come in sickly green? I need that as a “vomit”:oh3:

It comes in lime … as well as dark pink and azure, I think

Hmmm, not sure if that lime color is close to “sickly green”… but yeah you are right about dark pink and azure ones that represents ice cream splats.

There is a Futurama episode where Bender becomes a human, he pukes an olive green color. The first color he puked was brown but Fox told the writers that was too much. So If green is good enough for human robot puke then it's good enough for you!

I never watched that tv show in my life - I have no idea who is bender or how that person is combing human….

I wish LEGO would bring back construction sets, and harbour and coast guard.

I'm with you on that. A lot of the construction sets are outdated. There hasn't been much other than the recent mobile crane and skid loader. A new dump truck, backhoe, excavator, front loader, cement mixer, high rise crane and road construction crew would be nice. Maybe have some of those combined in a high rise building set that just has steel framing structure. The USA needs infrastructure fixed and rebuilt. It would be a nice theme to bring back to LEGO City. Kids always like construction machines, as that goes through generation to generation.

I love the new blue and yellow color scheme for construction vehicles. They should keep that up if they bring back the construction subtheme.

Blue/Yellow works for the mobile crane, but it wouldn't look right for other construction machines. Maybe you could do it with a cement mixer, but not with the other construction machines I mentioned. The dark yellow should be applied to the other construction machines if they release new ones. The lighter yellow color just looks outdated.

I think it works perfectly for any construction vehicle. Sorta stands out!

Bought the new Friends food trucks set today and other than the 3 minidolls, the cat and maybe a few other parts it wouldn't look too out of place in a City setup given that food trucks/stands of that sort can and do have those kind of brighter colors in real life.

At the very least its a GREAT parts pack for the kind of City stuff I build :)

I wonder what other awesome-for-City-builders sets from this year (or from previous years that might still be on the shelf) I have missed out on just because they happen to be labeled "friends"?

How about the 41682 Heartlake City School set? Perfect for builders who want a little more detail that the 60329 School Day couldn't offer. There is also 41704 Main Street which is also a pretty good one.

MANY! Friends has had a ton of awesome sets throughout the years.

The Heartlake City Airplane from 2020 is amazing.  It's got a brick built wing box and overhead luggage bins.  I thought about getting it several times but ended up getting the larger City version instead.
