I guess distribution sucks in North America?

The release date isn't until August in NA.

I almost always buy new City sets one year after they are released, it is usually the time when it reaches the lowest price, but two-year is too long that some sets cannot withstand and retire.

btw, will you still get 60277 (Police Patrol Boat) for $40 now? I forgot to buy it but looks like $40 for only 270 pieces and I do not like the submarine items, what do you think?

I'd only get the boat if you want a larger boat that floats.

Otherwise 60355: Water Police Detective Missions is cheaper and still has 4 figures , one of them the same police diver suit, and a lot of extra parts to customize.

The underwater / jail sidebuilds don't

Ok it’s June 13 and no one reports there is a limited farm set in retail stores yet?

The farm sets themselves are all 4 already limited to LEGO.com in my country right now.

Yeah but I was talking about limited set. Like we had Wildlife Rescue Camp last year. The Jungle set with tiger came out in 2017 that we didn’t know.

So it doesn’t look like there is a limited farm set out there.

Probably won't be a new farm set, but there have been some one-off larger sets in September, like Ski Resort or Main Square.

2020 Elite Police also released seperately in August in Europe , September in US.

2021 Stuntz was an October theme even.

In that case, no goat then.

Hi all. What is the fair price for the parts of the small truck and helicopter (i.e. bag 3 and bag 4) new and sealed in bags together with the corresponding instruction booklets in Lego 60302? What's your opinion?

I don't have a phone that can run apps. Anyone know if there is a way to get any of the build instructions for the 3 City Mission sets? Some way to run the app on my Windows 10 PC? Some other way to get at the instructions?

Does anyone have the city Police patrol boat? i.e. 60277?

Do you think it's a bit overpriced for a set with only 276 pieces?

Now the best price I can find is $40 here, no shipping needed. Worth getting it?

It's interesting how the crop area in the Farm Van can expand onto itself into modules with technic pins/holes, same could be done with other sets like 2019 fire station/dockside, or 2022 fire station the garages have pin holes as well.

That said, while it might lead to speculation of more farm sets/crop fields, I doubt it's the case here unless it would be a September/October set.

The 2019 Ski Resort was discovered late July.

2020 had the limited Fire station 2016 "remake" as a September release.

The 2021 Main Square was revealed mid-August, and Stuntz revealed late August.

For now, I don't expect anything.

Also found an article/interview about the Mission sets and that it might have been a concept in development for 7 years.

https://ramblingbrick.com/2022/06/05/lego-city-missions-building-creative-confidence-roundtable-and-review/

"As development moved forward, they took 19 stories to the LEGO City Team. Three of them made it into further development."

Gives me a bit of hope for more in the future.

Don't have it "yet" and yes, of course it is way overpriced and the main reason I don't have it and likely never will.

Having said that it doesn't seem as overpriced now as it did upon release, quite a few sets matching that situation now as well. It really is a bit unsettling to think what prices we will be willing to pay in the next year or two.

This might be a way for the desktop building instructions app version (though I'm not certain it'll work in your case):

I was able to get the instructions app to work by:

1.Installing the BlueStacks Android emulator on my Windows 10 PC.

2.Installing the LEGO instructions app from the Play Store inside the emulated Android system

3.Installing the Google Lens app from the Play Store inside the emulated Android system

4.Downloading the "instructions" for the Wildlife Rescue Mission set from LEGO

5.Feeding the QR code into Google Lens inside the emulated Android system and telling it to open the URL with the LEGO instructions app

Doing that has gotten the Wildlife Rescue Mission instructions/play to run inside the app and I am now building the truck (bought all 3 missions sets today on sale :)

Should be able to get the other 2 missions sets (space and police) going the same way but its definitely possible to get these instructions (or any QR code for the instructions app for that matter) to run on a Windows 10 PC without needing any phone at all (I have a phone but it can't run apps)

£24.99 for 60345 in the UK while $44.99 which is about £36 for it in the US, why Lego has been pricing their products so strangely? This is only a truck with 300 pieces that I think $24.99 or $29.99 is the normal price. If you think there are a lot of special parts e.g. carrots but 60327 also has a big horse but it's only $29.99

Just finished having fun with the Missions sets. Loving how fun they are to mess with, how cool the builds are and how awesome the parts selection is.

I hope we see more of them (a Fire Missions set seems like a no-brainer to me)

Well, in an article, it was mentioned, 19 stories were suggested to LEGO ,and so far 3 were approved, so there's probably a chance for more.

Fire and perhaps Medical seem logical as they are already returning subthemes.

A Construction/Mining variant could be awesome as well (more focused then the wildlife set)

Garage / Racing could work as well, customizing a Racing car or Hotrod.

Overall, the goal looks to be the covering of multiple aspects in a single yet, making the sets cover multiple semi subthemes.

The Police water mission is more then just a police boat, it's also a submarine, and power-racing boat so it combines multiple play aspects of City sets that have been made over the years.

The Wildlife mission already has some construction site/road repair elements included  like a Shovel, Crane etc, so could certainly be a road/service truck as well.

Space Missions speaks for itself, and the addition of the printed "mars" logos sets it apart a bit from the rest of the space subtheme and it's a bit more sci-fi/fantasy with a lot more classic type of parts.

I prefer Mission sets that include animals!

I opened that one yesterday and downloaded the app. I must say I'm not a fan of the concept. The app and story feel quite tedious to me, so this will probably stay the only mission set for me. I'd have preferred printed instructions with the mission spelt out there to read in my own time.

but 1 I bought it mainly for the animals and to try out the concept.

but 2 I haven't tried the mission with my children yet. So maybe they like it more than me, them being the real target group I suppose.

WOW!!!!! I love those ideas, especially the garage/racing and the medical ideas as we don't see sets centered around those lines of work too often. I'd definitely go for that one about garage, especially if that one included a tow truck of all vehicles. Another one I'd add to that list would be a public transport related mission set. A small bus with some stops and different types of workers and civilians for passengers. Basically a mission version cross of sets 8404 and 60154.

Agree, especially lends the good opportunity for a smaller set that can include the toolset, and blowtorch/welding and maybe a tool cart with drawers.

Lego makes a ton of sets with wrench, hammer ,shovel etc, but the actual mini tool pack is rare, especially in CITY.

I just purchased that tool set off of Bricklink not too long ago. I love how it works for the garage in my town.
