I’m truly amazed at what everyone can build with the right resources, talent, patience, time, etc.

I also appreciate different views of your build and the cats in the pics for a scale reference lol

Keep it up! You got this!

[MOC] Wayne Manor + Batcave

PHASE 4 — Batcave Construction Begins

First level is now 99.5% complete. All of the quions on the support structures are done. Lighting on the first level is in place. Started building out the second level where Batman's Trophy Room will be located. That is the next big phase of the project. We have been building the trophy displays at the same time as the other construction work.

The walls and roof of the second level need to be higher than Batman's giant tyrannosaurus rex robot and other trophies on display. Also testing out lighting for the second level at the same time.

PHASE 5 — Batman's Trophy Room

Hidden within the Batcave is Batman's Trophy Room where the caped crusader keeps objects, mementos, and reminders from past battles. These trophies have appeared in the comics, cartoons, and movies in various iterations over the last 80 years.

We really wanted to include as much detail and accuracy in recreating the trophy room. This meant sourcing a lot of unique LEGO pieces and using a lot of creativity in the process. The trophy displays were built up and set aside until it was time to begin placing them in the Batcave.

Ooh, now we are getting to the part everyone was waiting for.  Great pulls. It is nice to see more than the usual T-Rex and Penny. I love that flytrap build, and I'm choosing to see the Horus mask as a King Tut reference.

PHASE 5 — Batman's Trophy Room

A few more examples of Batman's trophies that we have built out. LEGO MOC of more trophy displays kept in the Batcave. Kabuki Twins’ Masks, Robot Penguins, Diary of Dana Drye, Letter from Thomas Wayne, Giant 8-Ball, and Key to Gotham City. Judge Clay’s Gavel, Killer Croc’s Sharpest Tooth, Joker’s Card, and Two Face’s Coin. All trophies are being built and will occupy an area of the completed Batcave.

I really should know where that T-Rex comes from...on the tip of my tongue

It's similar to the Rex from 5887 but not the same so it's either custom printed or a knockoff.

PHASE 5 — Batman's Trophy Room

We are starting to assemble the second level of the Batcave. It will be home to Batman's Trophy Room as well as a training area.

The cases against the back wall contain the Suit of Sorrows, Thomas Wayne’s original bat costume, and the original Red Hood costume. There are additional displays of Batman's trophies in this area too.

The other section against the wall is a chronological view of Batman's logos and suits since 1939. I will posted an updated photo of that area soon.

PHASE 5 — Batman's Trophy Room (with Training Area)

Work in Progress on Batman’s training area inside the Batcave. An array of weapons from Brick Arms. Custom printed LEGO minifigure targets that can move. Interactive and rotating training arena. Added Batman’s gadgets including different batarangs, grappling hook gun, and a bat-axe.

Note: Yes, it is well understood in the comics that Batman does not use guns — but he does have a large collection of guns that are used for training.

PHASE 5 — Batman's Trophy Room (with Training Area)

The first and second floors of the Batcave are largely finished. We still need to move some things around and add a few details. But the internal and external structures are nearly complete.

PHASE 5 — Batman's Trophy Room (with Training Area)

The first and second floors of the Batcave are now complete, stacked, racked, stable, and lighting has been added. Going to shift back to work on Wayne Manor now before resuming work on the third level of the Batcave.

PHASE 6 — Continued Building of the Batcave

Work in Progress on the Batcomputer. Added some more display screens and details. Built a modern interpretation of the Cray T932 supercomputers that Batman uses. Trying to put the final touches before installing it on the third level of the Batcave.

PHASE 7 — Wayne Manor Construction Continues

Restarted work to build out Wayne Manor. Trying to alternate between the Batcave section and Wayne Manor.

First, we needed to expand a portion of the first floor. This included adding a large dining room with a fireplace, custom tiles, and a very large dining table. There is a Cristo custom LEGO painting of Thomas, Martha, and Bruce Wayne above the fireplace. Additional family painting tiles are on the opposite walls. Large windows at the back of the room that look out on to the grounds of Wayne Manor.

PHASE 7 — Wayne Manor Construction Continues

Some times you try and try and try, but just can't get it to work. We spent hours using different techniques to build the main staircase for Wayne Manor. Different bricks. Different styles. Different angles. Nothing really worked and we called it a day.

A clear head and a good night’s sleep helped finish this the next day. Changed the orientation to keep the first floor space open and still achieve a realistic look. Reinforcing the stairs also created a better look for the staircase. When in doubt -- sleep on it.
