Posted June 14, 200816 yr well the title says it all, do you think 20 year olds are AFOL or TFOL... maybe they are BATFOL (between adult and teen fan of lego) let me know you think... regards Cpt. PB
June 14, 200816 yr adult, thats over 18. teenagers are between 13 and 17. I always thought you were a teenager until you were 20 (ie eighTEEN and nineTEEN)... But I guess I fall into the YPFOL category (being 21)
June 14, 200816 yr I guess that technically it's be TFOL until 20, but I'd say TFOL until 18. Faramir
June 14, 200816 yr Author i was the same as you teen until 19, and then the 21st birthday you were accepted as a true adult, 18 in australia is a legal age of adult... i think the major points of adult hood are 18 or 21, so for ages 18, 19 and 20 it is questionable as to which you are defined based on personal opinion, thats why i asked the question... this is no black and white answer, it is very opinion and culture based... so whats your opinions or cultural thought based on... regards Cpt. PB I say you are a MFOL (mean fan of lego) with all that kitty love... Someone who is 20 years old is considered an adult. I hate to break it to you, but it's time to grow up (that doesn't mean you have to stop playing with lego). For me, I go back and think about frontal lobe and rational thought development and then I agree with the statement that you are a young punk (although I'm not far past that point myself). It's time to start buying your own lego and getting the question "Some little boy is going to be very happy, isn't he?" with which you can reply "Yes I am". I have to use the reply "I am not a boy!" Lots of fun all the same.
June 14, 200816 yr Author I say you are a MFOL (mean fan of lego) with all that kitty love... hey, i'll have you know that cat ate half my parrots! A bricklink order and justice was required!! hmm a young punk... does that make you guys old farts jk
June 14, 200816 yr hmm a young punk... does that make you guys old farts jk Absolutely Now get off my damn lawn!!!!
June 14, 200816 yr Author *gets off lawn* *returns later that evening ringing the door bell before quickly jumping into the bushes to hide* a smell of something like fertilizer burning comes through the door crack... you open the door to put your slipper covered foot into the burning pile, to put out the flames , looking up you note that your once green lawn *cough* base plate is now pink... June 14, 200816 yr I'd agree with 18 for adult fan age, I'm personally not sure about the term TFOL due to the reason it gets confusing around 18!
June 14, 200816 yr Yeah, I'd say 18 is the age for being an AFOL. (only because as of two days ago I don't want to have to wait three more years for being an AFOL )
June 14, 200816 yr I'd say that you're a TFOL from you're 13 to 17, technically. You become an AFOL when you turn 18. I can't wait for that sweet day... If I don't fall into my Dark Ages..
June 14, 200816 yr I think you're an AFOL when you turn 18 But it's really a matter of how you personally feel about it
June 14, 200816 yr Now that I've thought about it a little bit... These sort of labels are really not needed here, internally, in the LEGO Fan community. We're all LEGO fans and the distinction of AFOL is only really needed out there where someone who is not a child buying and building a LEGO set has to be explained to the dumb-masses. You know..the sort of people who still think video games and comic books are still made exclusively for kids and who refer to action figures as "dolls" Because if we start having to assign distinctions to the "FOL" abreviation it'll never end. AFOL, TFOL, KFOL (Kid), MFOL (Male), FFOL (Female), BFOL (Black), WFOL (White), OFOL (Oriental), DFOL (Dinosaur), HFOL (Handicapped), RFOL (Redhead), GFOL (Gay), LFOL (Lazy), IFOL (Insane), etc, etc...

Excuse me? HFOL is already reserved to "Holographic Fan Of Lego". btw: Some with age 25+ still post like TFOL's. *FOL ON!
