I really like the "re-imagining" approach, rather than just "rebuilding studless", while still staying instantly recognizable. Me too, but the rules of the contest seems to suggest otherwise. Doesn’t matter either way though, because I’m going to end up voting for what I like… which would be a “re-imagined” set. Quote
sebulba56 Posted August 28, 2021 Author Posted August 28, 2021 So sad I did not win the contest despite the number of good comments you all gave me. However, I plan to work on building instructions but I have never done that. I know how to use Stud.io, is it good to do instructions ? Moreover, what about the price of those future instructions ? I would like some opinions and advice. Thanks. Quote

I think studio is a good tool for making instructions, there are some tricks you need to know, therefore this playlist of tutorials helped me: 7 hours ago, sebulba56 said: Moreover, what about the price of those future instructions ? It's a lot of effort for the money, first try to gain some followers and popularity with free instructions. The pricing is around 0,5 eurocent per piece. Quote
sebulba56 Posted March 9, 2022 Author Posted March 9, 2022 Hey, little update about my creation. I just finalized the building on Stud.io. I tried a render and it looks great. I switched the wheels to white ( warning : this color is note available for this piece) to complete the tribute to the 8880. The model contains 2401 pieces, really close to what I guessed. I will now focus on editing the instructions, I managed to understand the tool by training on little sub-assemblies so this should be shorter in time than the building. Instructions will then be posted on Rebrickable, I was thinking about a price of 5-7$, would anybody be ready to pay this price ? I think it is not so expensive compared to the actual market of supercar instructions. Feel free to write any questions or remark. Quote
Gorkron Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 (edited) @sebulba56 "I was thinking about a price of 5-7$, would anybody be ready to pay this price ?" Been waiting for instructions/part list for a while now. Yeah, In my opinion that's a fair price. Edited March 9, 2022 by Gorkron Quote
