To be honest, this model is a mod of a Cada Set and a few included Parts are, as far as i know, Cada exclusive. Most of them are avoidable with different building methods, but not the mudguard pieces. The lego counterpart is with six studs, 2 studs shorter than the cada piece.

Now to the model. The Set shows a Military Version of the Humvee, but i prefer the H1 Station Wagon.

Motors (removable) inside the frame and clean interior.

This was posted with my permission btw,

I would love to see this model built with actual (LEGO) bricks. This could easily be turned into a Saturn V version

Nice work. I had totally forgotten that the unmodified version didn't have a full front bumper. There were a wide variety of push bars added "in theater", the easiest was to just use another rear bumper.

I prefer your mod over the official set. Somehow it looks cleaner. Still an ugly car but you definitely made the most of it.

By the way: The 1x2 plate modified was introduced by Lego earlier this year and the 1x5 liftarm will certainly follow soon. The 1x8 mudguard is such a useful and logical part for scale model guys like me. It is a shame that Lego refuses to introduce it.

Has TLG made a public statement saying so?

TLG has not put such a part in any set yet because they have no need to. I'm positive that such a part have allready been designed/modelled though and will turn up if needed. TLG is not in the part business to satisfy MOC'ers :sceptic:
