I decided to enter with a recreation of my first Technic set.

Behold the terror of the robot that can only stalk its prey in flat gymnasium floor like environments!

Features (present in this and the original model)

- 360 head rotation via bevel gears (in central "core" structure)

- Arms that can lift out to the side via back levers (x2) (in central "core" structure)

- Claw hands that can open via a push rod and close with a rubber band (x2)

- Head that can detach, black "ears" can be angled down to form wings and rear prop can spin to create a flying vehicle

- Small 4 wheeled buggy stored at base of robot, who knows what this is?  A remote bomb?  Drone?  It doesn't even have a seat.

New features for 2021! (not in original)

- Base of robot has adjustable ramp that can be raised (manually) to "lock" small 4 wheeled buggy on to robot.  Do not invert.

- Base also had a small black gear attached to a axle and a "striker" to launch the buggy through hitting it.

- Shoulders of the arms are now made with small turntables, along with friction pins and gears, the arms can now be raised up and down via turning the black gears on the shoulder.

Back with inputs for arm movement and head rotation, right hand is also open.

Side to side arm movement, combined with arm raising, ramp for buggy is up.

Head removal and "ears"/wings for flight down, the white 1x1 studs are there to create the wing angle similar to the original.   Also a close up of the buggy.

Heads consist of similar sized parts.  Arms on studless are bulkier because of the use of those rack frame pieces, but end being up being similar lengths to original.

Buggy comparison I thought the purple would be similar but they aren't.  The launcher and the ramp can be seen on the studless version.  Claw mechanism on studless

The studless version of the robot has mostly smaller proportion than the original, the central grey "core" that makes of the center of 8277 builds (robot, helicopter, cat) was very large and takes up a lot of empty (and wasted) space, while the studless version is more compact due to the grey Technic frames being used to build it.  Despite that the studless build ends up at the same height due to the black "ears" which are longer.  The head structure is nearly 1:1 with the original.  I can't replicate the eyes of the original without stickers though.  A feature I tried to implement was the a gear rack to raise and lower the height, but couldn't get it to work properly.

Most of the parts used to assemble this set come from just the 42097 Compact Crawler Crane (spider crane) model, it should be possible to build a c-model version of this robot from that set (just not color/size accurate).
