OMG, I love these VIP add on packs!! Especially the Halloween bag with all its skeletons , perfect for army building

This was available only for 2 days in Canada. All the ads for it disappeared. It’s weird because the pirate one was available for so long.

Is it becuase it’s most wanted AFOL sought after? So that they are sod out so fast?

I agree, and to me the pirate one was better. The Halloween one was 6 skeletons, and two HP hair pieces. That's great, but the pirate one was very diverse.

Wow 6 full skeletons? I haven’t received mine yet. I have 20 of the pirate ones because they kept on sending them everytime i placed a bricks and pieces/pab order. They are amazing. Cant wait for the fun and funky one that is next.

I sadly only have one Pirates. I should have bought some more Queer Eyes sets for the parts. It's such a wonderful set. But yeah, if I wasn't trying to save money I'd get a ton too. So great.

I don't have any of the Halloween ones, sold out too fast and looked 'meh' but the brickset inventory said 6 skeletons which is amazing.

Yeah really weird. Its only the beginning of october. These should have been made in sufficient quantities. Maybe they still have some in store but i have covid so i wont be able to check this week. :/

I hope you are feeling okay! I had a hell of a cough but only for two days.

Maybe LEGO, rightfully, realized that the Pirate one would be wildly popular and the skeleton battlepack one wouldn't be.

I was not interested buying more sets in order to get VIP Add-Ons. I decided to buy Spooky of eBay. Strangely enough, they sent me two which i didn’t order for them. Just wanted one. 

I guess Spooky one is quite popular? Beat me…

The spooky add on pack is back in stock on the LEGO website. There was a report on Reddit that a CS rep said they were having supply issues, which is why it went out of stock, and that stores only had small deliveries of them too. But that more were on the way. Looks like they've arrived into the online store warehouse at least.

That is what i thought but The advertising for the spooky one here says:

Ijust got Sppoky one. whew, it’s not a duplicate order. 

Boy, I like the selection parts that would be gret for the spooky scene. Like McGongall’s witch hat,not one butt TWO. I’m pleased with amount o skeletons , it’s perfect to relate a musical band in graveyard, lol.

Spider, forg and bat molds are not exciting tho but i like that there are more animals in it!

Sine I’m visually impaired and there is no instruction included for other parts, like cart wheels, 1x4 tiles, etc so I will try to figure how to build them together.

Ah yes! VIP Add-Ons! My favorite one was the City 40578 Sandwich Shop. I love how it comes with a road plate; making it very easy to connect to your town - if your town is supported by road plates like mine is and for a small buildng, it looks rather detailed. I also love how its basically a little drive thru for 4-stud wide automobiles (which all the automobiles in my town are) with a teller machine, serving window and a small eating area. Personally, I wish Lego would do more of these as promotional sets. For those of you who are wondering how I got one, I sorta.........kinda.......cheated and went on eBay to find it. nervously smiles Yup! If you want one that bad for your town, its easy to find them on eBay despite them being only promotional sets. If you're in the US or Canada, you may have to wait a while as most of the sellers are in Europe. But if my experience recieving it could say anything......its worth the wait. 

So question: What is your favorite promotional set?

Curious. I've just tried and neither the spooky add on pack nor Ray the Castaway appeared in the cart or at check out (so I didn't go through with it and will wait for the holiday GWPs in November).

So question: What is your favorite promotional set? 

I am not sure if you are confused with the difference between VIP Add-Ons and actual GWP sets. ViP Add-Ons are GWP, yes, but very different from other sets. You should take a look at pirate, spooky, fun/funky, and winter wonderland add-ones.  

And no building instructions included, just like Mission setts from City theme. 

I hope it makes sense because i suck at writing due to my written skill conflicted with sign language.

And to answer your quesiton, it’s Spooky Add-On as my favorite GWP so far.

GWPs have their own forums. For example, i creeated a new forum for Jane Goodall tribute and someone create one for Forest Hideout. However, there is no need to create forums for Christmas or City-related GWPs becuase there are Winter Village and City forums that we can talk about these GWPs. Just not a general GWP forum.

Mine wasn't in my cart, but was in order details and the email LEGO sent me. However a couple hours after my post the GWPs were OOS.

Just saw that on some european site the winterwonderland vip is available. In Canada the spooky one is back online and still says: watch for the next pack: funky pack coming soon. So we will probably get different packs (at least the order in which they are available) depending on where we live

Update: the winterwonderland pack is online but not yet as a promo.

For some reason the Winter VIP add on pack is available for 1.000 points on the Dutch site. So no GWP, but a regular reward. I did not hear anything about it/see any mention of it; is it also available on other websites?
