^ same. I was in the checkout process and it went to a 504. They need to figure out how to handle the load from this-- it's happening way too frequently when they do releases and they do too many limited drops that have a crush of people wanting in.

Got my two mushrooms ordered! Bricklink seems to be doing good, and only had a few hiccups on Lego's end. Much smoother than last time.

The speed the bars are filling seems slower than last time. I imagine there is slightly less hype and less rush to buy this time. Whether there is less demand or not, I'll guess we'll see. I imagine most will sell out again.

Well all five have reached 'funded' status already, so that's something. Looks like the Station & Mushroom House are most in-demand early, closely followed by Ominous Isle.

The Train Station's already 35 percent sold, and the Mushroom 28 percent. Either of those could very well be gone in a few hours - the end of today, at least.

Yeah, it is going to be an interesting race. The train station was lagging behind a little but suddenly overtook the mushroom house. Why they suggest 24 days is anyone's guess. They could make it just 2 days, the panic would be the same.

Status of selling out at the one-hour mark:

  1. Brick Cross Train Station: 52.84% sold (about 15,852 copies)
  2. Mushroom House: 44.63% sold (about 13,389 copies)
  3. Ominous Isle: 28.83% sold (about 8,649 copies)
  4. Logging Railway: 17.05% sold (about 5,115 copies)
  5. The Ocean House: 16.8% sold (about 5,040 copies)

I imagine the first two will sell out in a few hours, so if you're on the fence, I'd jump on it. Ominous Isle I'll give a few days, maybe a week. The last two might not sell out completely... We'll see.

I got my order in with no issues, which was great. Looking forward to these. So far, series 2 is the strongest grouping to me, so I ordered four of them. Left out the logging railway, because as nice as it is, it's mostly bridge, and I have two small children who like to play with them all, so it would get destroyed too quickly and too often.

Looks like the Brick Cross Train station is now sold out (well, about 40ish minutes ago). Still, that's a solid 7 hours it was available - which I think is a decent sized window for anyone who was really interested.

The Mushroom House just sold out, so it was available for about 8 hours - which I also think is a reasonable amount of time.

Ominous Isle is at 47.07% sold, Logging Railway is at 26.91%, and Ocean House is at 25.84%. I could see Ominous Isle selling out eventually, but I think the other two won't make it.

And yet there are already eBay listings for both!

One Ocean House at €380 and three Logging Railways at €400-€500. I really hope no one buys them, but still, even to list them is pretty awful.

Plenty of all the others also listed at crazy markups. Really very sad to see.

It wouldn't surprise me if they were listed on ebay before ordering was open. That happened with sets in the last round.

Unless you were unlucky enough to start a full shift right when it started, with the site crashing during lunch.

There are probably some people that had some issues, but I do think it was much better than last time, when the Mountain Fortress sold out in about three hours (with major issues during the first half hour). I feel much more sympathy who missed that much shorter window.

I also don't want to sound callus, but if someone was experiencing issues, or knew they would be working, they probably should have set up a contingency plan and had a spouse/sibling/friend help them get the set. Or, if you're in a bad time zone, like Australia, you might need to either stay up late, or wake up early. I got my sister a Mushroom House because she was busy, just as an example. And I know that might not have worked in every case either, but if you have the disposable income to get a $280 Lego train station, I imagine that person would have options. It's the nature of the beast, with something like this that's rare and sought after.

I just got an E-mail about my Mountain Fortress and Snack Shack, letting me know they are backordered... That seems to be a good sign they will be shipping out soon-ish!

I thought the Mushroom House was cute, but didn't pull the trigger right away. When I went back to look again, it was sold out. Totally my fault, but I do regret not getting one.

I'm just not used to the idea of affordable & cute Lego sets that I want selling out so fast. Maybe next time I'll snag something.

The nice thing about these sets is that they all use current production pieces, so it's quick and easy to get the parts from Pick a Brick, and it shouldn't be a huge cost over the RRP of the set, especially as it's relatively few pieces.

It is probably quicker than actually buying the set!
