Yeah I'm willing to click like three buttons to make it happen. Does Pick a Brick have an import option?

If I have to go select each part somehow, no way. That would take hours and be error prone.

I've been using the Brick Hunter browser extension for this recently. It's amazing!

I just got an E-mail from Lego saying that Wave 1 should be shipping out soon! Much better communication with this wave than with the previous iterations. Hopefully this means that all of the sets will also ship out closer to the beginning of July for all regions, as opposed to it being "staggered" like the previous iteration.

Yes, I got messages from my bank about a transaction they declined, most likely because it was made so long ago. Got to call customer services now and get another payment made. Last time they charged when ready to ship so should be on their way very shortly.

I got the same email. It feels so quick compared to last time.

It feels better organized ! 😃

And that’s great after last year, where it was the same email over and over again every week.
This feels more streamlined, organized and caring than last year; which is great !

Now I hope it stays like that for all the next rounds too ?…

👍🏻

Bring on the Mountain Fortress !

🥰🤪

I think I got this email once already? It's not meant to be sent for another month. Maybe things have moved around a bit quicker than expected.

Same here. I wish they will inform me one day earlier to make sure I have limit on my card, but quick call to Lego and it went smoothly forward.

For sure they will ship it shortly.:excited:

Heads up - instructions are avaliable for all the Series 1 models. There are links on the BDP page on Bricklink.

Nice find! Now someone can come up with the parts list and see what the Bricklink/Pick a Brick cost would be to put these together.

I do find it interesting that the Mountain Fortress instructions are 1057 pages long. That's double the length of the two books from the Lion Knight's Castle!

Nice, thanks for the heads-up!

Final numbers for Series 2, now that preorders are closed:

  • The Ocean House - 34.72% sold - 10,416 copies
  • Logging Railway - 37.67% sold - 11,301 copies
  • Ominous Isle - 65.1433% sold - 19,534 copies
  • Brick Cross Train Station and Mushroom House - 100% sold - 30,000 copies each

So out of 150000 possible sets, that's about 50000 not needing to be made. That's only about 2/3rds sold this time around.

Doesn't bode well for future pirate sets, which is a shame.

Also surprised by the ocean house. Seems that the open back is a big barrier for many.

According to this video/interview with the person in charge of the program, any sets that hit 10,000 sets are considered a "success." Sure, I'm sure they would love every set to completely sell out, but hopefully it isn't a complete death nell.

I also think that it helps explain some of the set selections - why so much castle, why the larger sets, etc.

The other barrier is that there is just so much other stuff available. To be on my purchase list now, a set has to hit at least a few of my targets: (i) be really good, (ii) fit with other sets I have and (iii) have some exclusivity within it that makes it worthwhile to buy the set and not just putting it together from existing parts. The latter might be exclusive prints or minifigures, but it might also be size, as it is far easier to put together small sets than larger ones.

Yes, very true. There are so many good sets. I recently audited my LEGO wish list and halved it. The sheer volume being produced now means the filtering has to change.

It's also making me re-evaluate some of the older rounds - that I've not built yet - and whether there are a couple of those that I should sell. I sold the modular LEGO store last year, realizing that I didn't actually like it, and it would always be lower on the build/display list than something else.

I was double-checking my credit card yesterday, and it looks like I have a pending charge for both of my Wave 1 sets! They're also now "In Process" on my Lego account. Shouldn't be long before they ship now...

Haven't they sent you any emails about them recently? My Mountain Fortress was delivered last week. Although Europe might be earlier delivery than the US.

Europe usually gets them first, then the Americas, and Australia/Asia last.

Have you build your Mountain Fortress yet? I'm really trying to decide if it's going to be better to build it, or try to sell it for the Lion Knight's castle instead...

Interesting thought. I bought this Mountain Fortress as the “opposite side” to the Lion Knights Castle. 😊

In round two I got the Station, and then I will be much more picky in deciding which one to buy; there are too many that are good, and Lego isn’t helping with their own releases either.
I can’t afford them all, and storage is going to be hard too…

That's the other possibility I have - to eventually get the Lion Knight Castle as well (especially if it goes on a Black Friday sale again), possibly with the Medieval Town Square in-between them (and maybe my Castle in the Forest as well). But that's also a lot of money and space to devote to it... Especially when I would also like to get Art of Chocolate and the Mushroom Village (if it's approved) as well. I just want to be sure that I'm going to be buying and keeping the very best ones, and I'd like to hear as many reviews/feedback about the Mountain Fortress before I decide what to do with it.

No, I haven't built it yet. I've looked through the instructions online but was planning on building it when the evenings get dark. Although if it is selling well at that time, I'd sell it. I already have a lot of grey LEGO!
