TeriXeri Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 (edited) I do think a reboot like this can be a good thing. Even while I'm not a long time collector, having new characters is interesting to see after basicly 10 years of the same main cast. I think it's more interesting compared to re-releasing modernized version of old sets, for example , Paisley's House , Autumn House (assuming 2 characters), instead of a remake of Olivia's House (2012) Also new side characters, new pets, new hobbies, new dress styles, new use of the expanded skin tones (from 3 to 6 in 2022), etc. Edited October 23, 2022 by TeriXeri Quote
Maple Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 There was a pretty good reboot this year and it worked out great. If they want to do a bigger reboot I'm fine with that. Quote
jonwil Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 I am sure the core themes that appear in friends will remain the same (e.g. a lot of people who own, like, play with and care for dogs) Quote
cosmic Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 If by reboot we just mean a new rotating cast of characters I guess that is exciting but the theme constantly has new friends and sidekicks so if anything it would just be a change of focus. Soft reboot is a good way to put it. International school sounds exciting. The recent Emma’s art school was spectacular imo so really stocked to see how this turns out. Not a huge fan of this far the 2012 Horse Stables remains the best Friends set of that sub theme. Quote

Seems 2 of the main characters will be males as well, so hopefully even more scope for expanded themes and ideas. Even though grainy, I can tell I really like the aesthetic. Quote
Maple Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 How do we know they are males? LEGO could be doing non-binary people now too. Who knows. Quote
Robert8 Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 @CM4Sci posted on his IG stories a cleared pictured. 2 males for sure. Lots of new hairpieces! One of them seems to be using Rex Dangervest's hairpiece (o a new one very similar to Rex's) A 2023 thread is needed now Quote

We don’t I suppose, but we have had Leo confirmed in the set names and both mini dolls look to have the boy (young male) torso. Edited October 27, 2022 by DragonElves Quote
DragonElves Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 (edited) Wow, I’ve only had a quick look but these are great sets and so detailed. Everything from the designs, minidolls (one girl has a limb difference, excellent!), more animal molds (the dachshund with wheels is amazing). I like how they’re continuing the story of the five original girls, Mia is Autumn’s mum! It’ll be nice to see them as adults in minidoll form. Edited October 27, 2022 by DragonElves Quote

Non-binary people can look like anyone. The sets are amazing, the prices even better. Not a huge fan of the school but that's okay. The house is amazing and the skate through dinner is a blast. Good to see new colors for the double door frame and windows. Edited October 27, 2022 by Maple Quote
