Chapter XXII

As the daughter of a Terraversan General, Lady Cora had learned many things--such as climbing trees--which few of her acquaintances would have suspected her of.  Though famous mostly for her ability to faint on the slightest provocation, she was quite competent as a navigator--at least, she knew all that the books said.  Of course she hadn’t much practical experience.  Did that deter her?  Not her!  Disguised as a pirate, she prepared to do a little scouring of the seas on her own account.

To be continued...

This is a wave technique I've wanted to try for a while now, it's pretty fun!

The boat design is new too, though of course it borrows from the sideways designs of some of my microscale ships.

C&C welcome!

The wave with the rowboat in it looks nice and realistic.

Brick built boat is very nice with many details for its size (extra points for the rudder!) and so is the minifig posing with the slope/dress!

Love that wave!   Trans-light blue is soo gorgeous.  Great job with the boat and the posing too, and the rope and papers on the pier are perfect (though it seems like that wave might do the whole pier in )  One of my favorites of your vigs for this storyline so far, looking forward to what happens next!

Looks great! I love the wave and the whole thing looks so bright and clear. Seeing the underside of the sideways tan on the beach is fun texture

Thanks Evan!  I thought so too about the underside of a brick, chose one of those ones with only one stud on each side on purpose to have a more interesting underside. :pir-grin:  Glad you noticed!

That wave technique is great! You're making me think about ways I could use it in a build of my own. And I've got to work more on building brick-built boats. Great inspiration, and very cool build!

Thanks Capt Wolf!  Someday I want to invest ( :pir_tong2: ) in several hundred 1x2 trans light blue plates and do this kind of wave at a proper scale. :pir-sweet:

Thank you!  Funny thing about my rowboat... Lady Cora's skirt is actually built right in so she'd be thoroughly soaked right now if this were real. :pir-laugh:

Yeah, that's a really neat little build.

Thanks Ross!

Thank you!  One thing I love about building vignettes, lots of opportunity to tinker with little details.

A great wave and first glance I didn't realize that the boat was brick built! Awesome!

Thanks!  That's cool to hear, makes me feel like I did a good job with the shape. :pir-grin:

Thanks Garm!  I agree, this is definitely one of the better vigs.  Water makes everything better... :pir-laugh:

Great wave - and as it is such a great wave, I wonder what the next scene will look like...

:pir-laugh:  Nooo... Lady Cora has to survive to rescue Captain A... :pir-grin:
