no not really, you kinda want to put it at the maximum degree the bike can lean and then get back straight on its own without you having to manually launch it again :)

It uses these quite a lot for turning, not just in crashes.

Hard to say if that centimeter matters, but if yes then you can use always 3L non friction pins to bring the mounting point further outboard.

I have no idea if the motor will pull it, but you could gear for a little extra speed using a pair of old 14 tooth bevel gears.

Well, I've had a shot at modelling a 2015+ KTM e-SM.

There are obvious limitations from building it in Lego, such as Lego tyres having an unrealistically low profile (scale is pretty well correct to the wheel rims but not the tyres), and servos needing a lot of space, but other than that I'm quite pleased how it turned out. What do you guys think?

Unfortunately I also have no video of driving it either, as I need an 8L gear rack for the steering and don't have one.

It was a different bike I was working on.

But once it got off the bench and took a first test, it was just no good using an XL motor with chain drive, so I gave up on it.

To be honest I think it's fundamentally flawed.

i agree! even tho, you can mount a 2x3 liftarm as a chain tensioner, the reason why it comes off is because when the suspension compresses there's no chain tensioner

still, it's not the best bike to build for it's handling
