At least we know got 4-5 sets in 2HY. I'd say 42146 is the number for the UCS supercar because the previous 3 supercars are all the last in their year's lineup. The missing 42142 might be an irregular release like the Batmobile. Quote
Dami Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 I think 42142 is another film licensed set, or maybe even a Game licensed set, It would be very interesting. In H2 I expecting a 42128, 42112 scale truck, an Aircraft, big Construction Vehicle and a 1:8 supercar ofc. Maybe 42142 will be Fast & Furious Toyota Supra for example Quote

Would love to see the Supra. Quote

Technicallism Posted December 26, 2021 Author Posted December 26, 2021 I really hope there will be one technic version tug boat like below:https://www.macgregor.com/Products/Offshore-oil-and-gas-and-renewables/tugs/ We are really short of boat/ship, 42064 Ocean Explorer was waited 25 years since we have the first one in technic. Hope we no need to wait another 25 years for the next one. Quote

TheBRICKblackdragon Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 I expect a new incredible supercar, something like a Ferrari Daytona SP3. And may be a port crane, it will be great and with lots of possible features Quote
Kostq Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 (edited) Well, 42112 didn't have 2k+ parts, so I didn't count it as a "big" truck. Edited December 27, 2021 by GTS Quote

The scale is the same though, and I think the main reason for the lowish part count is that the main function (=drum) was made of only a few parts, unlike other trucks in similar scale. So I'd say the part count isn't a great guide here. Quote
Dami Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 I think next truck on this scale will be logging truck. Im dreaming about garbage truck but it wont happen I think. Quote
thekoRngear Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 A follow-up to 2020's 42114 might also happen I guess. Quote

AVCampos Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 If you're referring to another hauler, I highly doubt it: the 42114 is too recent for that. Quote

It'd be a bit of a shame if the loader polybag was the Volvo set for 2022. @Maaboo35 although I (currently) do not like C(rap)+ I really think the automatic gearbox inside the A60H needs an evolution by another iteration (could be in another form factor). That gearbox had some potential. Also a truck with bigger wheels is welcomed. The 42128 is my first Technic Truck but the wheel size kinda makes me a bit unhappy, but not too much to make fuss about since it is enormous, functions packed and pleases us as it should. Plus the recent cement truck dump truck have had similar tyres (maybe the width is bigger in the tow truck). I think 8285 42143 and 42114's tyre sizes are great. Wait, did I read somewhere in the forum that truck tyre size might have been retired? If that's the case, the A60H/42114 tyres would do just fine. So, for that 1. automatic gearbox 2. bigger wheels I think a follow-up to 42114 would be sweet Edited December 28, 2021 by thekoRngear Quote
Jurss Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Last year there were some new wheels or rims (used in minions), which would fit really for some asphalt roller. But there still are now news about that. Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Volvo has a pretty big equipment range, with loads of great subjects for new sets. I have no problems with the polybag, don't get me wrong, but for that to be the coming year's sole Volvo set seems like a bit of a missed opportunity. Quote

thekoRngear Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Since we are not that far away from the Toy Fair London (which is still subject to Covid situation) I think the next 1:8 will have a 10 speed gearbox? 8 speed has been done for the last two models. The last one was polished on the Sian. A 10-speed does not seem to be that bad- in terms of building challenge. Quote

Well 10 speed transmission has one known car (it was featured in 42126 set) https://www.phillongdenver.com/new-ford-raptor.htm I don't know which hypercar has 10 speed transmission. They should go back to 4 or 5 speed fully manual (even not synchromesh)...this car now only brake down and even ordinary service is highly expensive (they need almost as much lubrication as fuel) Quote

My intuition says the parts count will exceed 4000 and the gearbox might even get more complicated (which jb70 will fix anyway ) Quote
