There’s  some new parts in green, and the return of some rare parts. Only set left now is the F1 car.

The 42141 F1 car will reveal on 11-Feb, the same day as McLaren revealing their 2022 new F1 car MCL36. Thanks

Anyone else agree that this year seems to be quite nice as far as new parts are concerned. A number of new panels with recolours to some older ones, the 3x?? frame in the McLaren and then there's the shocks and other stuff in the BMW bike and probably something I'm forgetting now. And who knows what surprises 2H might hold?

Interesting color scheme for the McLaren. I'm excited to see the new (?) tires, I just hope the wheel is new, and doesn't have a cover piece like some of the Speed Champions sets.

It is tumbler tire.... please look at 42141 tread...the same you Emailed me on Unimog axle years ago buddy

I noticed that too. The two little sets (telescopic loader and the bike), the 42139 and the introduction to the new and useful parts are all the highlights for 22H1 for me. I just hope the 42139 (all on a sudden) does not come out with any major flaws.

There's also the BMW front wheel mounting bracket. Indeed with the second half still to be seen this could be a great year for new parts if this first half is any indication.

That's going to be a busy 2022 chapter-opener page in the next edition of your Technic history! :-)

Yep, it'll probably join the last few years in being a two-pager!

Allegedly 76240 was supposed to have functional steering, but they were unable to implement it without affecting the looks.

Which seems quite odd if you ask me, given there is one on Rebrickable with suspension and remote control drive and steering. Admittedly, it does affect the looks (particularly the front axle(s?)), but not substantially enough that I would consider it to look worse.

Ahahhhahahhhahahahahhhahahaaaaaaaahhahaha
Yeah!
Okay guys, I did that.
I motorized the 76230 (above) years ago and LEGO could have had a look.
I also did the 76240 recently, adding suspension and steering again, It is tricky but totally possible.
The interiour is still there, the exterior is fine. I even upgraded the exteriour looks a bit for the 2021 version because I felt like LEGO got it even worse this time!
What's going on there in denmark? excuses excuses excuses.
Hey LEGO, EXCUSE THIS: motorized LEGO 76240 Batman the Tumbler jumping over bricks
Before the set came out, some people even hoped for a retrievable bat pod, but honestly I think that would be nearly impossible and not worth the pain.
Like "look, this is the tumbler and now i pull here and there and it falls appart and has no front wheels but here I have a little motorbike" - that's not worth the effort.
BUT If I were LEGO I had done a retractable roof/front window mechanism. I know the 76240 pretty well by now and I am sure that could work and it had looked awsome!

Anyway, want some RC motor upgrade and a better look?

New Gears?

Still unsure. Could be re-coloured 16T gears, but somehow the outer ones looks smaller than the inner ones. So maybe a couple of 12T and 20T but spur gear instead of bevel gear?

Those are 16T gears, as I can count some 7-8 tooth on side. So looks like recolor.
