Oh my, that looks like Dom's Charger with KITT's "Super Pursuit" mode.

I'd prefer a Tumbler, but TLG already makes lots of that one and a Technic version would thus be unlikely.

Since TLG's been on a Batman's vehicle run recently, a Technic one would have meant functional steering (and possibly suspension)!!

Allegedly 76240 was supposed to have functional steering, but they were unable to implement it without affecting the looks.

Which seems quite odd if you ask me, given there is one on Rebrickable with suspension and remote control drive and steering. Admittedly, it does affect the looks (particularly the front axle(s?)), but not substantially enough that I would consider it to look worse.

They also said that they wanted to "set themselves free" from the previous version and create something "that really stood apart". Did not work.

Actually, that Batmobile doesn't look that bad! Anyway, can we expect another leak this year for 42130? As the last "remaining" number

It's possible. Maybe as we near Christmas. I'm astonished that LEGO just opened the curtains on this Batmobile set so soon, without prior notice. I wish they would do that with all their Technic sets.

And if I am correct, this Batmobile should be the very first Technic set to use system-style light bricks in it, as opposed to the Powered UP lights used on the LEGO Train sets.

I think official other sets images will apear in late december or early november, butbun official, hmmm, maybe even later this month

The release date for this Batmobile 42127 is 1-Nov-2021 in US/Mex/Cad aka North America.

For the rest of regions (Europe/Asia etc..) is 1-Jan-2022.

I think that’s the reason why the set number is within the range of 2021 2HY sets (42126 to 42131).
In this case, similar case may happened in 42130 too…. Maybe December 2021 we will have another set for this 42130.
Shall wait until next month to see any surprise announcement.

Pretty much as expected, but it's nice to see some lights added. Also nice to see a proper engine instead of the cam style engine. The trans red engine block pieces with the blue flames make it look like the engine is maxed out, glowing red hot. Normally I'd despise such garishness but I think it actually works quite well in this context.

I think the red effect is only from the light brick. In the 360 view of the set, the blocks are trans clear

You're right, it does look like the grooves have been punched out, but whether it looks like it or not I expect it is a reflection.

Not that it couldn't be a slight mold change, but I doubt it.

The new Batmobile looks ok and I'll probably get it but I'd guess that a few people will make a few minor changes to make it look like a standard muscle car.

On the plus side though, it looks like they've nailed the stance. Sits low
