Takanuinuva Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 NRG cole could reuse the Nexo Knights stone leg part. Quote
DarthLeapyous Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 (edited) Tommy Andreasen commented on the next season: "the seas are restless" So Nya is restless over something...I think we're heading back to the dark island. You know, that giant landmass opposite Ninjago... * Crystal King is probably new form of Overlord, said to resemble him somewhat * pink, purple black and gold colour scheme of le evil on all the enemies *Crystal warriors are the new Stone Warriors *Golden power returning, only ever used to fight the Overlord I honestly can't see it being anything OTHER than this scenario, it just fits so perfectly. Which brings into mind: is this supposed to be a cross between DotD and Final Battle waves? Because the Overlord is definitely one of the "final boss" villains of Ninjago other than maybe the Oni. KingOfLiberation Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 We don't know that Golden Power is returning, just that the ninja have gold vehicles and gold (Shintaran?) wings, unless Tommy said something and I missed it. But yeah, everything else fits for the Overlord to return, which makes sense as this wave is said to be a "conclusion". Quote
GarmaFan Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 We've seen gold without golden power way too many times for me to think that means anything. Quote
Kim-Kwang-Seok Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Ninjago can go so crazy so I never allow myself to speculate. I think dragon hunters and Nya turning into the water dragon long term were like the only times I saw folks guessing things right. Yeah certain plot twists were always guessed, based on details like "Zane is the Ice Emperor". Every other time though the writing was weirder than theories people made up ...Like did anyone guess the complicated backstory of S12? Quote

Every other time though the writing was weirder than theories people made up ...Like did anyone guess the complicated backstory of S12? Zane being the Ice Emperor was spoiled by the soundtrack of all things (along with the other signs), but yeah, the writers have come up with some pretty crazy stuff. However, plot details like character alignments and identities are much easier to guess from set details than something like the origins of a video game that's barely referenced even in the set descriptions. I don't think it's that far-fetched to think the Overlord might return, considering he's the only villain with a black/purple/pink/gold color scheme, is known to have made the Stone Warriors (which were also samurai, and Stone is kinda close to Crystal), and the Crystal King is said to have similar armor. 1 minute ago, DarthLeapyous said: These seem specifically to be golden ninja, and the golden dragon that's directly attributed with golden power We just know that the dragon is gold in color with a white underbelly, which if anything implies it isn't the elemental golden dragon (all the old elemental dragons are fairly monochromatic except the Fusion Dragon). The original ninja are only stated to have gold winged armor, we don't know if the suits themselves are gold (unless someone who actually speaks German can translate the page better for us), and the ninja have had prominent gold highlights and armor before (ZX, Elemental, Master of the Mountain; granted, those were only for half the team at a time). To be fair, Lloyd is stated to have a golden form, but his powers returning after 8 years doesn't make much sense. Counting Decoded, we last saw the Overlord 5 years ago, and it's been stated that he's immortal, while Lloyd still having Golden Power has never been hinted at unless you count Hunted's "true power is never lost, only given away when you think you have none" thing. They could always get around that by just including normal legs as well, like they did for the Overlord in Battle for Ninjago City (and I think some other characters that are escaping me at the moment). If anything, I think the main problem is that the mold for that stone energy piece is probably not being made anymore. Quote

It's not actually super out of date (the last use of it was just last year, for Sandman in a 4+ Spider-Man set). I just don't think replacing the legs looks as impressive in general as Nya did with full legs plus a spiraling water platform. The impression the rock spiral piece gives is very much of the legs just not being there, which I don't think suits the very corporeal ninja characters any more than, say, the Possession-era ghost trail. I knew it had been used again after Nexo Knights, but I didn't realize that it was still in production, so I suppose it is definitely on the table for future Ninjago characters. As for whether that piece would suit them well, I guess it's just a matter of opinion. I think it could work well since a minifig using the stone spiral part is still around the same size as one using the water tail piece, but that's just a preference thing, and I certainly would not mind a new piece in the same vein as the water tail (that allows for the legs to stay on) for any other new NRG forms we get in the future. Inevitable Thanos Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Does anyone have any idea or estimation of when we should expect season 16 to be released? I'm probably not the only one that does this, but I usually watch the new episodes on YouTube. Hopefully Nya isn't gone for good after Seabound Quote

More set details? Episode names? Release dates? Quote

More set details? Episode names? Release dates? Maybe I'm misremembering, but I don't think Promobricks usually does stuff for the TV show, so I'd assume it'd have to be something to do with sets. More details also seem unlikely though, since there really isn't much else to say unless they just want to clarify a few of the things that were unclear in the initial leaks (like the identities of some of the minifigures). Assuming it is something substantial, my guess is that it would be details on a new set we haven't heard about yet. That said, I have to wonder why we wouldn't have already heard about if there really is another set. The first thing my mind goes to is a new D2C, but it seems extremely premature to be predicting that right now, so I'm just going to go into this reveal with no expectations. Quote

It's similar, yet very different to Zane becoming the titanium ninja. The series really needs a girl ninja, but Pixal and Skylar haven't stepped up to the plate yet. So is Promobricks going to reveal Ninjago set names soon and tease more elements of the upcoming season? Quote

And PIXAL or Skylor haven't become ninja because we haven't gotten any episodes after Seabound yet. Set names are already on Promobricks, though it's possible they're not finalized yet (Cole's vehicle especially has been referred to by three different names across two articles). If we are getting something new I'd expect some clarification on the set descriptions - they're unclear on the identity/existence of a few minifigures. Quote
Bloquerto Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 (edited) While we wait for pictures of the summer sets, I would like to share something. I don't know if this can be discussed here but has someone seen the concept art that Ninjawhip has been sharing on his IG? It's for The Island, Seabound and possible future seasons. From the concept art for Seabound I like the villains more than what we got. They're more original and creative with different legs piece like shark tails and eel tails. From the concept art of the possible future seasons, I like a lot of that mysticism of The Ancient Ones, the Golden Army (they are conformed by golden skulkin) and the Gold Collector. I can definitely see all of this as a new plot arc after the Vengestone Buyer arc. Edited March 1, 2022 by Bloquerto Quote
GarmaFan Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 No way they'd release concept art of future seasons long before they've even been confirmed. Those ideas were probably scrapped. Quote

a guy from somewhere Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 So the new intro has been leaked. its actually pretty cool! Quote
Robert8 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Wondering if they'll introduce a new crystal piece like those purple crystals. (Which look a lot like the Crash Bandicoot ones btw) Quote
DarthLeapyous Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Could that be the Dark Island where all the crystals are protruding? Quote
Fire-Ninja Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 (edited) Havent been on for a year hows things everyone? so guess what new pictures dropped heres the link and i think we can assume these are very much real also you may notice there is lloyd with the golden dragon in the corner which looks to be four elemental heads pointing towards maybe a shared dragon go towards the end of the video to see also if i have broken and rules i will delete straight away: Edited March 4, 2022 by Fire-Ninja Quote
Kim-Kwang-Seok Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Wow, I didn't expect to see set pictures so soon and in such good quality. I'm looking forward to see Harumis and Nyas new looks. Quote
a guy from somewhere Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Wow, ok. This is pretty cool that it’s leaking so early! And the box is finalised, so we should be seeing the others soon! Now for the set itself. I like the jet itself, the design is sleek and looks incredible, but I don’t like the bulky large molded parts. I would have preferred to see brickbuilt. We get a look at the crystal temple as well in the background, which looks amazing, so I can’t wait for that. Where the set kinda falls though is the mini figs. I’m not a fan of the golden armour, using the large moulted wings doesn’t really do it for me, and the fact that we are getting the season 11 gear again is sort of annoying, I just want to see a new suit style, but not one that’s specialised like the winged armour. The skull sorcerer looks alright, interesting that we are getting the scythe of quakes! overall I’d rate this set a 3.5 out of 5, it looks fine, love the jet but the figs I’m iffy on. Overall I can’t wait for the rest of the wave! Quote
