Clone OPatra Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 I'm a bit disappointed that they aren't doing the Dwarves' Cottage as an Ideas set, but I'm also disappointed that they haven't done it as a regular Disney Princess set. There's still a lot of material from the Disney films that they have never mined for sets, from that cottage to Agrabah to any actual architecture whatsoever to go along with Mulan. They can do display-worthy sets within the confines of the regular line - just look at the Encanto house for instance - so there's no reason they couldn't do a very nice $80 Dwarves' Cottage, $100/$120 Agrabah Palace, or $100 Mulan Imperial City. Perhaps the latter would be too actiony for them, but if little girls and boys have seen Mulan than surely they don't only associate her with sitting around sipping tea all day.
Bruno Madrigal Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Question: I was wondering when we're going to get the official pictures for the Lego Muppets CMF Series? I know it's either a April or May release, so we should be getting official pictures of the complete set soon. I saw the leaked blind bags, but we still haven't seen Statler and Waldorf, Rowlf the Dog, and Janice that were rumored. I'm always excited when something new that is Lego Disney is releasing, especially when it's Disney minifigures. Another thought: Do you think Lego will ever make a Bruno minifigure from Encanto? I know for most of these Disney movies that get Lego sets, they don't always make every character, but there's so many missing Encanto characters. A Lego Delores or Camilo would also be great, sometimes I rip apart some of my figures to make pursuit customs with parts I have.

At this point, LEGO has revealed a lot of the upcoming late April sets, so I would expect a reveal relatively soon - likely early to mid next month, but we shall see. As far as [redacted], we don't really like to talk about him , but given the popularity of the movie, I wouldn't be surprised if LEGO makes another set eventually. Nothing is definite at this point though.

Ah i suggest you to follow this thread regarding the Muppets. :) Also, I don’t know when the Muppet CMF Series will be revealed officially but I’m excited for it!

Maybe if they did a generic woodland cottage with 7 characters with short legs like Hobbits, but avoided use of the word Dwarf
NeutralNoodle Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 That Buzz minifig looks fantastic. I wasn’t interested in these sets at all but I’ll definitely have to pick up one of those.
THELEGOBATMAN Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 Great minifigure. They even gave him arm printing. I hope we see those sets soon.
BrickBob Studpants Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 Not sure about the grey wings, looks a big weird in combination with the lime armour
Robert8 Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 The face color feels a little off Maybe is the picture or maybe is another case like Lady Iron Dragon

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it - a while ago we got our first look at some Lightyear toys: https://www.cbr.com/disney-pixar-lightyear-mattel-merchandise/ And buzz does indeed seem to have grey wings - now whether they're actually grey in the movie or just a case of early concept art is another matter. What weirds me out with this fig is how big the armor is, making his shoulders look disproportionate, not to mention the plainness of the armor & wings is weirdly contrasted with the detailed torso & legs.

Even if they are grey in the movie, a lot of the other toys have yellow and black hazard stripping, in particular the first one, that I do not feel lego would skimp out on, as they have made buzz wings with hazard prints before. It may very well be primarily grey, but I wouldn't count on the entire wing being that colour.

Me too .. the set was practically perfect as it was .. I’ve seen people comment on other platforms that the amount of figures needed would be too many .. even if they maxed out with Snow White, all the dwarfs, the old hag, the queen and the prince .. that would only be 11 .. could be trimmed down to 8 minimum .. they have all the moulds needed .. as long as they didn’t go the minidoll route ( it needed to stay with minifigs for me ) c’mon they made all new moulds for Winnie the Pooh .. I hate to think it, but I feel it’s something slightly political due the the rigmarole regarding the live action version and Peter Dinklage’s comments, although many of the community do not necessarily share his views. Disney’s first full length animated feature deserved to be celebrated and celebrated with this set .. shame on you Lego 😕
NoOneOfImportance Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Quick set update via BrickClicker: 76832 Buzz's Return - 498 Pieces - $49.99 - April 24 release
admiral_typhoon Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 More pics of Buzz have shown up in the usual places, this time focusing on the backpack. Surprising to see that it's an entirely separate part with 2 antistuds, and with very detailed printing to boot - the rear part of the wings is also printed with the hazard stripe, so thankfully they aren't blank like the last time we saw it. 2 minifig leaks and they're very detailed, which makes me wonder if the set build budget will suffer a bit or if these sets are gonna be stellar.
THELEGOBATMAN Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Wow, that minifigure is absolutely incredible. The printing on the wings is so detailed, it looks fantastic. Same for the arm printing. Can't wait to see the sets.
ToaDraco Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 (edited) I love the Buzz figure!! It looks just as excellent as the Zurg bot that leaked awhile back. I'm really looking forward to the Lightyear line(and the movie for that matter!) Edited March 15, 2022 by ToaDraco
Surge Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 to anyone who has the new Ariel's palace, can you put the king triton head on a standard minifigure head? Thinking about making a custom minifig triton

Captain Nemo Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 @Surge Here ya go: I think it kinda works. If there were ever an occasion for Lego release a minifigure version of Triton, I think reusing this piece with more appropriate printing would work very well. I’m not sure if it has been mentioned anywhere, but all three of the mermaids from the set have newly designed tails, with fins that are duel molded with transparent opalescent colors—which look really nice.

sunhuntin Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 The minifig version would pair much better with the minidoll of Ariel, I think. Much more suitable body style for him.
