Karalora Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 He's really not (compare them in this image), but Peter is so gangly and agile that he would look very strange with the medium legs. Not to mention, the minifig kind of needs the length so there's room for the extension of his tunic print. Hook's hat helps him to look much taller; I think the two are okay as they are.

Karalora Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 That's odd, it shows up for me just fine. But for some reason I'm not able to upload images directly. In any case, if you do a Google Image search for "Peter Pan & Captain Hook," you should get plenty of examples of them on-screen together so you can make the comparison.

PGBQW Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Guys "Pretty much as tall as Hook" doesn't mean the same as "He's literally the exact same height as Hook".
Jarreth2 Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 (edited) According to an official character model sheet Hook is a whole head height taller than Peter .. BUT .. I thought the ‘teen legs’ would make Peter look too short .. SO .. I’ve just tried it and it works rather well .. better than I thought it would look. Makes Hook look that bit taller next to him especially with his hat too. So yeah I’m not sure they’ll revisit characters already established ( apart from the usual Mickey / Minnie etc ) give it a try, you might be surprised ^_^ Edited September 3, 2022 by Jarreth2
Agent Kallus Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 It would be silly to hope for Owl House figs wouldn't it. It is a Disney show ( no season 2 spoilers please), in fact lots of my hopes would be silly but here's a wishlist, hoping this topic allows them. 1- sorcerer Mickey ( I don't really want another Mickey but he is inevitable as this is the most interesting and imo most likely pick) 2 - Meg from Hercules - very unlikely, she doesn't even get to be a Disney princess does she? 3 - Phil from Hercules - okay I won't pick more than 2 per film but last time they paired them up though with the smaller roster it's less likely 4 - Mirabel from Encanto - and they can reuse the minidol hair! It's not even rubbery! 5 - Moana from Moana 6 - Mulan from Mulan 7 - Cruella from 101 dalmatians 8 - Gaston from the Beauty and the Beast 9 - Mary Poppins from Mary Poppins. 10 - Lilo from Lilo and Stitch 11 - Stitch with multiple arms from Lilo and Stitch (Alternatively Belle from Beauty and the Beast since Stitch was in S1) 12 - Snow White. I decided to exclude TV show characters but if I wasn't I would've wanted Luz, Eda, Amity, Doofinschmirtz, and Grunkle Stan.
Lion King Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 I don’t see that Mirabel’s minidoll hairpiece would be reused in her minifigure form. 17 hours ago, PGBQW said: Guys "Pretty much as tall as Hook" doesn't mean the same as "He's literally the exact same height as Hook". If you say so.
Karalora Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 In any case, I would much rather have new characters than retreads of older ones, even if they are "more accurate." (Sorcerer Mickey counts as a new character for these purposes, and has to be my top pick.)

Well, I wonder what TLG would do with these molds they made for Series 1 & 2 if they don’t revisit characters, like Peter Pan, Alice, Maleficent, etc? Princesses theme keep using these molds over time. So I rather revisit these characters in regular sets instead of CMF.

(Sorcerer Mickey counts as a new character for these purposes, and has to be my top pick.) I'd think that Sorcerer Mickey is a given. There is a zero percent chance we don't get Mickey at all, and this is pretty much the only main variant we're missing. Like if we didn't get Steamboat Willy already I'd think we'd get a new head that looks like the old animation style, but that's not happening now. Either we get Sorcerer Mickey or something stupid no one asked for like Mickey with a golden tuxedo.

Previously I would've agreed but these days more minidolls are give ABS hair rather than rubbery. Having the hair piece myself it almost looks more suited the minifigs than minidolls.

Lego destroys the molds of elements that haven't been used for x amount of time. Multiple designers have talked about this, I think the most recent update we got was regarding the goat mold. Apparently they keep the 3-D files now, so it's possible for them to return, but they'd be "new molds" financially speaking since they'd have to create new physical molds.

Mandalorianknight Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Yeah I really don't understand the responses by @DBlegonerd7. This is stuff you can find online pretty easily. Fun fact: the reason 61287 started getting used for streetlamps in some of those winter village sets was because the designer heard the mold was gonna be destroyed and didn't want that to happen.

Sorry, you didn’t have any source provided when i asked “where did this come from”. I tend to stay cautious - I don’t like falling for the false info. Jsut my bad habit. Antoher fun fact - (recolored) Jessica’s hat did show up in BAM for Q2 2022. That Jessica’s hat hasn’t shown up for years after Toy Story theme’s end.
rebelpilot Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Jessica? If you mean Jessie, that hat and hair combo was only created in 2019 for Toy Story 4. It was a moulded head in earlier Toy Story themes, like Buzz and Woody. The mould was reused for Vidiyo in 2021 and as stated in 2022 for BAM, so it's still seeing frequent use for now.
JeanGreyForever Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Disney doesn't have the rights to Tarzan anymore which is why they haven't made any Tarzan merchandise in over a decade. So we're not likely to ever see Tarzan or Jane, not the Disney versions anyway. I think characters from the classics like Snow White, Pinocchio, and Beauty and the Beast are most likely along with some new variations of Mickey, Minnie, etc. Cruella is also a strong contender even if I can't think of any character to pair her with (and with only 12 minifigs per line, they might not even bother with pairs anymore). I'd also like to see Lilo since it always bothered me that they made Stitch without her. I haven't seen many mentions of Cinderella or Aurora but I'd like to see them as well. Also Pocahontas and some characters from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

What are you talking about, they're not doing merchandise because Tarzan is a movie from 1999 that's just not that popular anymore. That's a rumour that started because he wasn't in any subsequent Kingdom Hearts games. Disney can't lose the license to their version of Tarzan, it's a different version from the original one. 10 hours ago, JeanGreyForever said: Also Pocahontas and some characters from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. While it would be really cool to get characters from THOND, seems very unlikely, because there's no way they can do, well, the titular Hunchback with the regular torso piece, and if they use a special torso for him he kinda stops being a lego minifigure.
