Looks great. I’ve never owned a Lego Monkey before so I’m excited to try and get this; it’ll go great with the Amelia Earhart promo I got last year.

Seems like I know when I’m (finally) getting the Disney Castle now.

Just noticed a cute detail in the set. The two variants of chimpanzees are ‘separated’ by the small river. On one side we have the black chimpanzee, on the other, the two dark brown ones. In reality the two extant chimp species are indeed separated on either side of the Congo river ☺️

That’s a great details! Good catch, man.

I wouldn't normally do this, but as it's Jane Goodall so... it's worth noting that they are apes, not monkeys.

You can get monkeys in the recent city sets though - Wildlife Rescue ATV 60300

Eh, a primate’s a primate as far as I’m concerned lol. I did almost get that polybag a couple months ago but didn’t want to wait in the huge line at Target. I haven’t really seen it since.

In which case, you have minifigs, they’re primates. 😘

I was looking for a 'clapping' face but that one will work. haha

I'm amazed this set still hasn't leaked. By now there are normally eBay sellers with cases of them.

I think you misread all of the previous recent posts. We'd been discussing the details of the set and saying it looks nice because it had already leaked!

Removed the leaked images though.

Oh darn. I missed that. I've been busy. It's a lovely promo that I'm glad lego makes.

All 3 chimpanzees are the same. What a shame. The initial leak seemed to show a dark brown variant too.

A small shame, but still a lovely set.

Yeah, it’s a bummer. But I agree with @RichardGoring - it is still a lovely set at least!

How much do you have to spend to get this promo?

You have to spend over $120 or more to qualify for this promotion.

It runs from March 3-15 and I find it similar to the Charles Dickens and Amelia Earhart promos we've gotten recently and I enjoy these small displays.

I think that’s the idea really, they’re all called tributes and feature the red ribbon and seal on the corner of the box. They’re all similar in sized and spending threshold (Amelia Earhart was cheaper but she didn’t come with multiple minifigs or molded animals). They all have relatively small footprints that allow you to tuck them on whatever shelf or desk corner you’d like. And I really like the angle of featuring significant historical figures. It seems lego is getting on a roll with these and I’m really looking forward to seeing more in the future.

Oddly enough - the US lego shop@home site has the Jane Goodall promo listed as having a $120 threshold on the ‘Offers & Sale’ page of the website, but $150 on the ‘Stores’ page. Clearly one of those is wrong.

Maybe not. Both could be wrong. :pir_tong2:

Picked mine up earlier in the UK, will look to build it tomorrow.

Not interested in boxes at all, but must admit the three tribute boxes have been lovely.
