Hello everyone!

Following the Delta Integrale I present you my Lancia Stratos HF!

This model features opening doors, as well as massive opening front and rear shells with the most detailled engine bay I've ever made!

Despite everything being openable, it's surprisingly sturdy with only its rear spoiler and A-pillars being the weak spots.

Minor details include a spare tire at the front, a fire extinguisher between the seats and of course all 3 pedals in he drivers footwell.

I think the overall shape is pretty good. Only thing that looks off is the angle of the lower plate of the front bumper. I think it shouldn't be that angled.

Engine bay details are very nice, and the exhaust 

I am not a fan of cars with no functions, at least steering would have been a must for me...and the pop-up headlights...  Well, I guess those are scale problems. That's why I build in 1:8 Scale 

Nice, I like how the front and rear bonnets opens like the real thing. Well done!

Suggestion - can you angle the windshield wiper up to create the illusion of a glass windscreen? The A pillar placement makes it look a little strange without an actual curved windscreen..

Nice work. I like how the front clamshell meets the body behind the front wheel arch. Very nice angle. Overall the lower body is really well made. My only criticism will be the C-pillar. In your model it meets the body at almost a right angle, while on real car there is a very smooth transition. I know, curves at this scale are really tricky, just something to take another look on, maybe. Other then that  - good job!

Overall not bad, but somehow cabin looks strange. Maybe missing windscreen really makes that difference.

Also there is something too much behind front wheels.

I wanted to attempt doing the Lancia Stratos myself, (shortly after i finished my digital moc of the 1970 Ford Escort RS 1600 i did about a year ago).  I started it but wasn't happy that i had no windscreen solution for it.  But looking at yours even with the lack of windscreen, it still looks really good, and it's unmistakable of what it's meant to be.

I've tried doing that, but it looks even stranger having the blade stick into nothingness. :)

That would indeed be a great solution for something of a smaller scale.  I'm not a huge fan of using non-LEGO aftermarket parts, (though a lot of the 3D-printed elements that some users create here, are pretty damn awesome),  so i like the idea of using the LEGO Ducati piece. 

If this were my model though, i'd definitely be tempted to take a plastic soft drinks bottle, and fashion something similar to the Ducati piece but at a larger scale. 

Hello. Beautiful MOC. The stratos has always been one of my favorite cars.
For the front windshield perhaps you could try using a black pneaumatic hose to represent the windshield profile.
