Thanks for the vid Christian. I'm loving the central elevator and the crucshing trash compactor. I think the dianoga looks awesome as well. And we get a spiderman web for rope when Luke and Leia swing. That is cool.

O, that's so awesome! :cry_happy:

I have never thougth TLC would produce some of these huge playsets!

But most of all I love the dianoga! I'm happy about seeing this wonderful tentacles - not only the eye, like in Episode 4.

I've allready known the functions. After seeing the first pics they were more than a possability. :classic:

But I can't believe this! What a wonderful set! Since when we haven't been seeing something like this?

Greetings

Thanks for the vid Christian, it's great if you turn the sound off!

After all we get a 360° view of the DS. I think they really made it with this set :cry_happy: I like all rooms and function plus the minifigs are great

I like the look of this, the combining of a lot of SW features to make one amazing set. But still, everyone trying to be "reasonable" about the price needs to really stop. 399.99 American/499.99 Canadian is 100$ too much. Look at the Death Star II UCS: cheaper even without the sale, and still only 400 less pieces. The figures? Sure; expensive, exclusive and difficult to make. But all of this petroleum talk... like seriously. It's expensive, so deal with it without the big explanations: it's a wonderful set that's highly reccomended if you can afford it.

Okie Dokie.

STOP THE MONEY DISCUSSION!

It's getting really boring.

The Americans think it's too expensive and the Europeans know it'll be even more expensive here.

So there You have it! Now stop yagging away about it and discuss the set instead.

I tried a search, to no avail. Sorry if this has been asked already, but does anyone know if this is going to come with a certificate like the UCS MF?

Thanks darthperson8!

I like this new R2 dome-print a lot better than the old one, it really fits him. I'm not so happy with the new 3PO tho, the color seems a bit odd, but I'll wait for eye-sight to judge on that  But what I think is really bad about it are the hands. They seem to come in a different color than the rest of the body, almost fleshy :hmpf: Maybe it's just the pic, but I don't think so...

And the conference room ROCKS!! Shiny black imperial-quality tables on

It looks like there are a few stickers used in the cell block for controls and to make it look like the corridor continues on.

The return of the DS DSS (Death Star Dreaded sticker sheet), whoa too many abbreviations :sceptic:

It looks like the 1 x 2 x 5 wall panels have stickers on them too deathstar_04.jpg

Looks like those 3vil imperials turned an Artoo unit into a shiny desk too!deathstar_05.jpg

Thank you very much for that link, Christian! :sweet:

It appears that, during Brickworld, Corran101 provides us with some new death star pictures.

Seeing more pics the DS becomes better and better  !

The elevator and the trash compactor are very cool. And that conference room really rocks! Very nice to see TLG not only including action scenes  ! The bay and the gate in the hangar makes it looking really realistic (although the window of the throne room disturbs a bit). I can't wait to see more pics - especially about the cell block which seems to be great, too!

The only thing which disturby me a bit are that we won't get a new officer ( ) and that Palpatine has black gloves and C-3PO has fleesh hands ( ) - but I hope that TLG will correct these mistakes with the hands before releasing the DS.

All these awesome details, the many rooms, the nice interior and the many functions - that's simply :oh: :oh: :oh: and    !

Although the price is in my opinion very, very high ( :cry_sad: ), I think I'll buy it (even though I'll have to save all my money of the rest of the year and all my money I'll earn with my summer holiday work) - because it would really be a shame to do not buy it  !

It's the best Star Wars set ever - and after Town Plan the best Lego set in general!

BTW: Does anyone know/saw what is there included in the llowermost level (I only see some orange barrels)? Is that "thing" under the bay in the hangar an elevator for cargo stuff?

Thanks Mike, looking at those pictures, I get a new idea about the size of this baby! The close up of the trash-compactor really shows how big it is! Can't wait to see it for real :cry_happy:
