Though I never said it publicly, I had almost convinced myself that this set wasn't worth $400. After looking through those pics above, I fully retract that sentiment. It's worth every penny, and probably more.

I'll never own one, though. $400 should net me all the CW sets except the Twilight, so that's the direction I'm headed. Still, a really, really good set.

I like the set, but that can't be exactly how they're planning on releasing it. Those yellow stickers for the lights/windows/whatever look... horrible, compared to the just plain white stickers! The design is airy but actually with good reason and I really like the look of everything. That Palpatine looks to be a just plain awesome fig, maybe my favourite one yet. But like Walter Kovacs, I've held back in saying something- there's way too much space here. And What's with the holes on the floor in the Emperor's Throne Room? I finally remembered that there was "bridge", like in the movie. Umm... where's the railing? I'm not particular but I just in LEGO sense... Palpy's gonna fall off on his own! I remember RAILING, not some weird walkway... never mind. The rest of the throne room is PERFECT, but there's something weird with the green R2 bodies in the corner. I understand they could be containers, but just as a single brick they look too plain. Maybe a lid would work, otherwise they really don't serve a purpose. The chasm scene looks... excellent, just like how it should have been. The circular control thing outside of the detention block is skimping: just a bunch of monitors on 1X2 slope bricks (which is okay but...) and that's it? It's fine, but I think it could have been better. Perfect laser guns on the top, now I remember THOSE from the movie, awesome design there. The central elevator, and I'll let loose on this particular thing... just looks like crap. I remember there being one. But it's just a platform with string in the middle! It doesn't make much of an elevator... and for 500 bucks, I think we deserve a bit more, no? Maybe some buttons on it or something.

But on the other hand...

It's still 10/10. :P I dunno why, but I love this set now that I've given it a verbal beating. I want it so much, gonna save up.

EDIT: Re-edited the post because I was just in a bad mood... or something.

EDIT: The R2 Bodies aren't official, I don't think. They aren't in the catologue, meaning they probably won't be in the set. Dunno what it was, they just... bugged me. :D

But like Walter Kovacs, I've held back in saying something- IT LOOKS TOO MUCH LIKE AN MOC. Instead of doing fine tuning, it looks sort of laid together in places and honestly, I don't like how they can have so much detail in one place and not enough in others. For an example... look at the detention block. Nicely detailed even if it is just a black box/jail cell. Now look at the "tractor beam control room" (so says the magazine?) and you'll notice... it's a platform with electronic switches in the middle. More please? There's way too much space here. And what's with the holes on the floor in the Emperor's Throne Room?! Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense. Don't you remember the giant holes on the floor? I realized that there was bridge, like in the movie and game, to the centre core. Umm... where's the railing? I remember RAILING, not some weird walkway... never mind. Random green R2 bodies in the corner? What the hell. The chasm scene looks... great, just like how it should have been. The set's good, but it's too full of itself sometimes. It thinks it can get away with quite a few last minute-thought designs, and that's seriously wrong. Perfect turbolasers, awesome design there. Also... what the hell is with that crane. It's ugly. Looks terrible. Yellow body but a grey head? AFTERTHOUGHT. The walls (on the sides of the death star) look okay but the blocky design... kind of weird. The conference room is simple as it should be. The large Death Star Gun thingy looks nice. The gun below it is okay though the competition missile is completely stupid. What's with the holes on the room of the detention room? This set gets away with these issues due to 24 figs. Good job but... wow how hard was it to make 24 figs?! Easier than the Death Star I hope. I'm just trying to say that it looks good... but not even close to being worth 500$. I'm not saving up for something that I have to keep reassuring myself about. This looks like it should be 399.99 Canadian, 299.99 American. And not just because of the error. Shipping's bad enough! The price is just stupid. But I'll give it one more chance to impress me. Can't wait for the first review...

I'm not talking about all the movie stuff and I couldn't care less about accuracy. As long as it's a big grey ball with a circle on it and lasers. Did you see the youtube video someone posted on here? (thanks to them). There's about 10,000 geeks screaming "where's the thermal exhaust port?!" and "the death star gun DOES NOT move up and down!" Honestly, I didn't know the gun can't at least shift around. I learned something. And maybe you should too. Sometimes, people RANT because they're overreacting. It's like when women cry for no apperant reason... because they want to cry. Well I wanted to rant. But anyways, I wanted to apologize. I went way out of hand and honestly, I guess I was overreacting. I'll edit it out so that it makes more sense.

My sig means that no matter how many sets in Star Wars people didn't like or just plain bombed, there's about 100 Galidors to back it up. News for next time- don't accuse people of bitching around if you don't get the sig.

I've got one question... which "assassin droid" are they talking about? I looked up "Star wars assassin droid" and found HK-47 (I remembered because my sister plays KOTOR) but that's it. Is it like that IG-88 guy that came with the Slave I? Cause they look identical besides a black bracket. I'm not mad anymore and I'm pumped up for the set, just wondering.

1. IG-88 is silver not white.

2. IG-88 load himself into the computer before it was delivered into the Death Star.

3. Where is the Death Star computer?^^

Please stop saying IG-88 as if that's a code name for all IG droids. HK means Hunter-Killer droid. HK-47 once meets his predecessors, the HK-50s.

IG comes from the InterGalactic Banking Clan who introduced them.

I really don't know what droid's denomination this is at all but that it isn't IG-88. It's not IG-88 B, C, or D either. It could be the strange white one in the Ugnaught's working place seen in ESB, transplanted to DS2 after the takeover of Cloud City by the Empire. An IG assassin droid could never be caught and controlled enough to make it do work on other droids.
