I wonder if there won't be some sort of homestead set released in the next couple of years. So far the UCS Sandcrawler is the only set to include either Owen Lars or a Threepio variant with his restraining bolt printed on the torso. A homestead set would be perfect for both those figures, as well as another one for Beru for those that pass on/cannot afford the GWP set with Beru. That said, I think the homestead would be difficult to pull off, being split-level and quite spread out. And, honestly, I don't see much play or display value in a moisture farm. It'd probably be best as a few different rooms rather than trying to do the entire thing.

And just like that, the price for Owen Lars on Bricklink has shot up.  The average is now $90.  as opposed to $25 over the past 6 months.

Yeah very glad I got my Owen about 6 months ago to go with a Sandcrawler MOC. Brickfanatics reports that the thresholds are 40, 70 and 160 dollars (ouch) being the ATST polybag, Blue Lip Luke, and (a diorama) respectively.  So its gonna be big spending time to get Beru. Might have swung me on several sets I was undecided on. Bo Katan's fighter and Fett's Palace? Hopefully some meaningful discounts on some sets other than the bare minimum. 10% seems to be as far as they are willing to go.

Jk. Honestly relieved all the speculation is over (for this at least) I really love the idea of multiple levels of gifts, the final being a small vignette with an exclusive figure. Definitely make me look forward to some future ones as well. *cough* Dexters Diner *cough cough* 

I haven’t participated in a May 4th event for LEGO in a while. Do they still do a small discount on older sets for the event?

I'm pretty sure a similar number of people want Revan as want Beru, if not more, even right now with a Revan already having been a GWP twice (IIRC they redid the promo in 2016 with an even more limited stock). Revan is a MUCH more popular character than Beru, which is why I like that she's the promo. A nice character to have to sort of capstone your collection, but no one's favorite character.

How dare you disrespect Nien Numb in such a manner! Until Lord Numb is released, we will never have the holy trinity of Gonk Droid/Nien Numb/Pit droid. 

(Jokes aside, I would say Nien is the next one from the OT. He was one of only 7 heroes in battlefront 2015, he was one of the main characters in a middle-grade novel I read as a kid, and he's been in a fair amount of other games, books, comics, etc)

Promobricks has listed the Obi-Wan & Darth Vader BrickHeadz for May 1st. Hoping this means that it will arrive in time for the promotions, instead of releasing later in the month which was previously suggested.

I’m still waiting on RotJ Boba with arm printing, but that’s a variant. At this point the most important characters we’re missing are some rebel pilots and imperial moffs but that’s about it. Plenty of aliens to ask for but most are unlikely because of the moulds.

That would be nice. I don't usually get brickheads but if it's better than the family guy looking previous Vader brickheadz, maybe I'll get it.

He originally said it was going to be a commander cody minifigure (That's why his account exists) and then just jumped on the bandwagon of skywalker homestead leaks. He's fake.

I think he's an asshat and all around, a fraud with almost nothing reliable, but there was no bandwagon of a Skywalker homestead--I certainly didn't see it here, nor on IG, not to mention he got the exact info correct, one figure and the kitchen. My theory is that someone with good intel decided to give it to him as a joke, or, in a more sinister fashion, to throw discord with the community. I mean, can you imagine if like the National Enquirer had scooped the Times or Post during Watergate? It obviously did not have a major effect, but he really did get us this time. The question is, how...

Maybe it wasn't Fulcrum or Promobricks, but I saw a ton of people saying they thought the May the Fourth promo would be a skywalker homestead, and a few even mentioning Beru as an exclusive figure. I think he just saw that, made a post off the rumors, and got lucky that it came true.

UCS Landspeeder pics have leaked. It looks great, but not terribly compelling in the way most other UCS ships do. I'll be picking it up and can't wait to see better pictures.

Also, it looks as though there are only (2) GWPs - Beskar Keychain for $70 and Lars Homestead for $160

I have to agree, it's accurate, but Luke's landspeeder just isn't the most engaging vehicle. I'm still glad we're getting one, just since it's a pretty iconic vehicle to have, but I hope we get something more visually engaging next year. The AT-ST is due for a new UCS model, and if the gunship sold well I'd say May 2023 might be far enough off for them to crank out a UCS ETA-2 or something.

Can we expect to see a reveal of one of the August sets around May the Fourth, like the AT-AT from 2020 and the Bad Batch Shuttle from 2021? If so, which set do you expect to be revealed? My personal bets are on the AT-TE, as it seems to fit the range, and we have had quite a bit of info about it recently.

I wouldnt be surprised if the suspected 3rd one, was in store only/ (if it actually exists) and the other two are online only. That sometimes happens with promos.  

And definitely not compelling, but it is what it is. A giant actual landspeeder, just doesnt hold up to other vehicles.

It’s definitely possible but I think that it’s more likely that we’ll see some sets revealed around the time of Star Wars Celebration. It just seems like a good time to do it, especially since a lot of the upcoming sets correlate with things that will be relevant there. (Attack of the Clones, Fallen Order, Kenobi, The Bad Batch)

 

Now, it seems like Blue Milk Luke is an unconfirmed in-store only promo. That’s definitely disappointing for me, as I’m doing my shopping online. Hopefully it brings the price of the figure down regardless though.

Speaking of shopping online, should I be worried about the Star Wars D2Cs selling out as soon as these promotions are up? I don’t have a lot of experience with May the 4th shopping. Last year was my first time ordering sets for the event and I didn’t have any trouble, though I wasn’t ordering any D2Cs then. This time around, I’m planning on getting both the Cantina and UCS R2-D2. 
 

 

Also, the Landspeeder looks okay I guess. The turbines look a little too square in my opinion, but everything else looks as expected. Nothing to write home about, I probably don’t really need this one in my collection. Seems like we’re getting an official reveal today. I’m sure we’ll hear plenty of the “Lego makes so many Landspeeders lol” joke throughout the day, which are honestly even more repetitive than the Landspeeder sets themselves.

The UCS Landspeeder looks excellent for what it is but it's still incredibly boring and uninteresting subject matter. Also, that new special windscreen piece is huuuuge. Overall, neat but definitely not for me.
