Not that excited for the Winter wave yet. If the last two years are any indication, these are mostly gonna be OT remakes  Granted, there are some I’d like to see (TIE Interceptor or Bomber anyone?), but I’m not getting my hopes up

With Ahsoka and Mando s3 to cover in August, surely they'll do at least a bit of Andor and Bad Batch this January? They've got to have learned their lesson by now.

Too true. I personally gave up on the idea of ever seeing either of those in the next 5 years a while back.

I threw together a somewhat educated list of what this January/March could include, assuming it’s not packed with OT remakes. It’s not a wish list since I’d personally prefer a few different ones.

75344 - Slave I Microfighter
75345 - 212th Battle Pack (2x normal, 2x airborne, + crab droid build)
75346 - Imperial troopers pack (new Crosshair with his rangefinder, 2x elite squad trooper, 2x TK trooper, Hunter + Wrecker in new armour)
74347 - Captain Rex's Y Wing (Rex, Ahsoka, Jesse, 332nd trooper)
75348 - Andor set
75352 - The Mantis (Cal Kestis, BD-1, Second Sister, idk I haven’t played Fallen Order)
75353 - Imperial-coloured Republic attack shuttle (Admiral Rampart, 2x Clone Commando, Tech + Echo + Omega in new armour/outfits
75349 - AT-AT Driver helmet
75350 - Phase 1 Clone Trooper helmet

P.S., when’s there gonna be a 2023 set discussion page? Or is there one already and I’m just dumb?

TIE Interceptor could also be a Fallen Order set with the Second sister, assuming they make more sets based on those games and 75335 wasn't just a one-off. Or they could give us a TIE Reaper with the ninth sister.

I like your list, but that’s a BIG assumption  The battle pack, Microfighter, and Andor set are definitely realistic suggestions, not so sure about the rest

I’d love to be proven wrong though! Fallen Order and Survivor sets plus more TBB stuff would be more than welcome! Also, more TBoBF sets would be appreciated

I don't really understand why they keep giving us so many Clone Commanders, especially in the Advent Calendar. I mean if you bought every set currently available or will be in the near future that has a Phase 1 Clone Trooper, you'd have 3 Clone Commanders and 2 Regular Clones. It just seems kind of lazy. If they threw in a Captain, Lieutenant, or Sergeant instead I would be willing to bet that the Advent Calendar would at least sell a little better than it's currently going to.

I'd prefer a normal p1 clone in the battle pack, but you can't expect a new (non Christmas) clone figure in the advent calendar. Aside from the Christmas figures (or the one exclusive figure in that 2017-2019 era), it's re-issues of existing figures from recent sets. That's how it's been since these started, and why many people use these as part/figure packs.
And before someone mentions this year's vader, he is the exception that proves the rule, and still a silly non-canon variant.

How many Mando sets do you guys think we can expect from this new wave? I feel like there's no way there isn't at least one, and I think there could even be as many as four if Lego is feeling confident in the series. My guess would probably be two though, since I imagine Lego will do at least one more next summer to cover some of the more spoiler-y elements of season 3.

like I said

So my guess/hope is that the accessory packs are back (Not a fan of only 3 figs, but I prefer it to $20 for 4. Still at $5 a fig, but the accessory packs both had pretty solid builds compared to battle packs), and that the $19.99 one is either a micros two-pack or a new duel set.

I hope that you're wrong.

The accessory packs themselves aren't the problem but thier availability, I've been trying to to the bloody clone one since it launched, still nothing.

The advent calendars have always had a unique figure or two, Thier were a few vaguely recently of one's with both a unique silly seasonal figure and a unique normal figures. TLG Luke, Antoc Merrick and U-3po are all figures from advent calendars.

I’d guess maybe one or two, and then definitely more later on. Lego usually only releases one or two sets around when these shows come out and depending on the show, they might end up doing more later. In Mando’s case, I definitely would expect more sets in the second half of next year, along with Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew.

I thought for sure that Mando’s N-1 would be a set they saved for spring 2023 when Season 3 comes out but they ended up doing that already so who knows?

I think at least one Andor and Fallen Order set is likely for this list, and I’d like to see some Kenobi and Bad Batch representation as well.

I just remembered that the Disney Junior “Young Jedi Adventures” show is supposed to start in the spring, I wonder if we’ll get anything for that? (As much as I’d like to get some High Republic stuff in Lego, I really hope not.)

Yeah, that's what I said, "(or the one exclusive figure in that 2017-2019 era)". Point is, past few years have shown that we're back to Christmas figures, and even if we weren't, the unique figures were already known. The CC is a re-issue, so it's not like we were robbed of a new clone variant, just at most getting the standard P1 CT instead.

I hope at least one of the Winter sets are for Andor. I am genuinely so excited for this series, but I sure as hell ain't buying that overpriced set.

I wonder if they'll skip Survivor like they did with Fallen Jedi... I hope BD-1 was some kind of test to see if a set based on this video game series would sell. I hope it did, cause I desperately need LEGO Cal Kestis

Oh yeah, rereading what you wrote I was just reading it wrong ...

To be honest I've never actually bought one of the star wars AC calenders, I've been tempted some years but this year's sounds pants.

I bought the one with Antoc Merrick for what I admit was mainly a "I want an Antoc Merrick figure" reason justified by deciding it would be a nice part pack. It really was, though lots of recent parts at the time, mainly DBG and LBG, and some nice army-building figures (though I remember scrapping Rose and Rowan for parts. Already had a Rose, no reason for any Rowans.) I got the 2021 one thinking more about it being a part pack/army builder and it was so excellent in those regards I almost bought a second one. The figures are excellent army-builders (including a great torso for mando that's got a nice, star-wars-fitting scarf), and again, lots of nice recent parts in both greys.

Not sure if the 2022 one will be as useful, given that three figures have pretty goofy torsos, but I might get it anyway for the other figs/parts (I somehow do not yet own a CC).

Plus, if you wait until the day after Christmas to buy them, you can find some really nice discounts.

Same here. I managed to get some of the hoth rebel packs but no luck whatsover with the p1 clones, pretty much given up on them at this point. Easier to get a PS5 at retail price than those stupid "accessory packs". I'd gladly pay a little extra for a proper 4 minifig battlepack that's available at other retailers, would be cheaper than paying scalpers for the 3 minifig accessory packs anyway.

This, its the availability issue more than anything. Not to mention BPs occasionally go on sale, those packs probably won't.

Guess I'm lucky that a friend managed to get his hands on two Phase 1 packs for me (and a couple for himself). He had an alert for the Lego store in his city and noticed that they were sold out again a few hours later...

Disappointed by the lack of MBS set this year, but it does save me a whole lot of money. Guess I was wrong about it coming later. Oh well. We will see if they continue MBS or if it has been discontinued already.

Likewise. Those are really the only sets I buy anymore. My collection is bigger than I am comfortable with right now lol

Hopefully LEGO gives a updated nu class shuttle in one of those slots such a good design. The ship still seems to be relevant in s2 so it would make sense.A 212th pack also makes sense for the $20 slot(would prefer micro binoculars included over more orange visors though).

I have my fingers crossed crossed for both of those next year, and I think a 212th Battle Pack in particular is somewhat likely. It's still crazy to me that Lego prioritized Cad Bane's freighter from like one or two episodes over Crosshair's Shuttle that shows up in several episodes. Lego really needs to start making more than just one Bad Batch set a year.

Aside from seeing everything else included in the Advent Calendar I guess, is the UCS Razor Crest the only 2022 Star Wars set we haven't seen yet? Should we expect another promo like the last few fall UCS/MBS sets?

Darksaber GWP maybe? Would make sense as they both belong to Din Djarin.

100%, Crosshair's shuttle makes so much more sense in every way. You could still even put bane and todo in the set, since they're in the same area as the ship (I mean, they weren't quite in the same scenes IIRC, but still, they're related about as closely as Finn in the TIE Dagger, Jannah in the 2020 x-wing, Obi-wan in the scythe, etc).  I still maintain that the 212th battle pack has a fair shot at being an accessory pack.

Yeah probably another promo. Either a diorama or a lightsaber, most likely, though of course it could be something totally out of left field. But other than the promo and Razor Crest, I think that's a wrap for 2022.

Having looked at a review and some more pictures of the Andor set, I honestly kind of like it. It's just a shame it's so horrifically overpriced, because I'm not really interested in getting it for more than mayhem $50, and that would require me to like the show too.

Daredevil not only widely regarded as the greatest superhero show of all time, but on a lot of review sites (like rotton tomatoes and the like), it's up there in the top television shows ever.

Ehh… right 😂
