ArrowBricks Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 It’s a dreadful piece, if true and serving the function we believe it will. Quote
PRbrickbuilder Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 That's a strange solution for sure, but I can see it been real. It mimics the Carbonite Han, and the effect on the fig is pretty good actually, and I think it is more faithful to the source material than dedicated figs, which would be ghostly opaque. But the fact it does not serve for Yoda is a major drawback. On another themes, I imagine it been used for a frozen Captain America, for instance. Well, I guess this force ghost cannot catch a lightsaber! Quote
Prometheus87 Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 I don't particularly like this style and would have much preferred minifigures that were opaque. Doesn't look all that great to me AND doesn't seem to have much playability. Though, if this piece is real, I am looking forward to the inevitable 501st Force Ghost Army. Quote

People seem to forget that pretty much every Force Ghost (with the exception of Luke on Ahch-To) have more of a blue glow outline than actually looking blue themselves. But yeah, this would need a new mould for Yoda, and wouldn’t work for Obi-Wan sitting down in ROTJ or any of Luke on Ahch-To in TROS. Or Yoda and his stick in TLJ for that matter. Quote

It definitely creates a more accurate effect for the figure. I would guess that Yoda will/would get a new mould, which was kinda inevitable for them doing any way other than minifigure variants for this. Quote
Redroe Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Is it safe to assume the rumoured Dagobah set is where this piece debuts? It's weird. Will make the fig look awfully static. Quote

No, probably not, since the Dagobah set isn’t rumored to come with an Obi-Wan figure. If it’s for Star Wars at all it might be in a Kenobi set. Quote

Not at all a fan of it. 1 hour ago, Redroe said: Is it safe to assume the rumoured Dagobah set is where this piece debuts? It's weird. Will make the fig look awfully static. I'd guess so? I agree, force ghosts aren't known for their athleticism, but they can do things like move and sit down. I mean, it's pretty iconic to see Quote

I mean it would allow you to use the fig as normal and force ghost, as well as making others into this new format, however the look........ Would have to see in person. It's a different attempt for sure! Another problem I just realized is this piece is going to look 10x worse on Yoda. Are they going to make another one of these for him down the line? It's hust so strange. I'm hoping this piece is actually intended for a different theme, like Ninjago something where characters get trapped in bubbles. Maybe it's something the villains do or it's a new power of Nya's. Probably not but man, I'm not feeling this piece as a force ghost solution. Quote
Inevitable Thanos Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Do you think we'll get any Andor or Bad Batch S2 sets this year? I feel like Obiwan would be a given since he's a really iconic and popular character. "Help me Obiwan Kenobi, you're my only hope"- Princess Leia Quote

The reported figure list of Boba’s Palace changed a few times, I’m sure this set could be the same case. I don’t see us getting this piece in a Kenobi set this year if at all. Assuming again that this is intended to be a Force Ghost piece. 50 minutes ago, Inevitable Thanos said: Do you think we'll get any Andor or Bad Batch S2 sets this year? "Help me Obiwan Kenobi, you're my only hope"- Princess Leia I’d be surprised if we didn’t see at least one Kenobi set this year, the show has a lot of hype surrounding it and there’s a lot of cool stuff Lego could do. I’ve been predicting the Inquisitor Shuttle from the sizzle reel, it’d go well with a Second Sister figure if/when they do more Fallen Order sets. I’m not sure about Bad Batch Season Two; Cad Bane’s Ship may very well be a Season Two set. I could see us getting one or two other sets off the show this summer but no guarantees that they’ll be based on Season Two. Lego might just be a year behind making sets for each season of the show. I feel like we may have to wait until 2023 to get Andor sets. The only Star Wars/Disney+ show Lego has made sets for before the show started was Mandalorian Season One, and that was because of Triple Force Friday. Andor seems to be starting in the fall so I’m not sure if we’ll be seeing any sets yet, but since Lego hasn’t skipped any of the major Star Wars shows yet, and since this show seems to be running for multiple seasons, we’ll get Andor sets eventually. There’s also a chance that Obi-Wan could be in the Dagobah set, just not pictured on the front of the box art (though that would be weird). It has happened before, albeit rarely. Quote

A guy comes out of nowhere and immediately has two leaks pushing the boundaries for lego star wars minifigures? The force ghost mold looks very legit as a manner of the part, it even has that little indent, but something just doesn't add up here. That Kamino doll really seemed fake. What got me was the neck. Minidolls don't have that long of a neck piece. So Lego would be making a new element if they went that route. It's a great idea and I would love it if they did. But it seems to convenient of a leak. Couple that with the Force Ghost piece. Convenient solution that comes out as a perfectly clear leak? Either we have the best new Bothan Spy a SW Lego fan could ask for. Or someone is trolling the internet hard. Quote
AD_Bricks Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 I reckon the force ghost piece is gonna come in a few sets so that TLG can justify making a new mould, like with the BD droid. It could come in an Endor D2C, the Dagobah quote set, AND a potential Kenobi set, for all we know. Quote

The quality of these leaks seems super high, but given the guy's never leaked anything before this, and these leaks just...feel off, I'm skeptical. I know "they feel off" isn't exactly ironclad proof, but I just think something's not right here. Quote
Frizzlefry25 Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 So now it's supposedly to represent being underwater and part of a gungan set? Quote

MAVERICK26 Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 I have a bad feeling about this... Quote
HatBricks Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 The thing about the alleged force ghost piece, is that there don't appear to be any sets it corresponds with at the moment. It seems a bit too early to be getting physical leaks for August sets. (I think we only started seeing the august figures leak in may last year). Guess we'll have to wait and see for sure. The piece certainly looks real, but maybe it's for a different theme or something? Quote

Paul11283652 Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 75327 and a lot of other 1 March sets are now available at Kmart in Australia for anyone that wants to beat the scalpers at midnight. Quote
NoOneOfImportance Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 I don’t know if anyone saw BrickFanatic’s news. They asked the LSW team about the lack of new mould for the dark saber, and the team said that due to the short development time of the N-1, they weren’t able to for this set. I guess we can presume a new mould at some point then, but we’ll see when. Quote
