Love that new windscreen piece! Good thing they recently started to encase those pieces in a separate plastic bag, if the Delorean is not just an outlier  Should‘ve done so a lot sooner

The landspeeder has me whelmed. Very ugly stickers on the front there but the rest is about what I was expecting. Really hoping it has wheels underneath for a hover effect. At least it’s something new, though I can’t help but think this is one of the rare exceptions where we would’ve benefited from a rerelease instead.

Will wait and see what the promos look like in Australia before I buy…Beru is tempting but without having Owen I’m not very drawn to it, I’ve kind of already made peace with not having those two characters in my collection. Buying a couple of black skeletons would be cheaper and would fill the same gaps.

I thought it was just me who thought of that!. I'm already thinking of a mod, have the 24x16 baseplate from the Dimensions starter kit (with a round 6x6 hole in the middle). Trying to figure out if there was a way to make a stairs from the door up through the hole, and put a dome on top.

Is it typically 12:01 am on May 1st when you can expect the GWP's to go live on the website ?

I didn't see this posted, apologies if it's duplicate, but the full May the Fourth page has gone up in Ireland: https://www.lego.com/en-ie/page/star-wars-day-deals?icmp=HP-SHGB-Standard-SW_SWB_MT4_Teaser_Phase_HP-F-SW-CF4MNW1NH5

  • UCS Landspeeder VIP access from 1 May
  • Lars Homestead free with €160
  • AT-ST polybag free with €40
  • Beskar keyring free with €70

All 1-8 May, along with unspecified sales and VIP rewards. Sweepstakes for items signed by Anthony Daniels. No sign of Blue Milk Luke (and we don't have a Lego Store here if it's a store exclusive...)

I'm pretty impressed by the set after seeing the review!

I've been disappointed by "missed" angles and curves of many past UCS vehicles such as the A-Wing. This set pretty much gets the shape right. And the colour is striking - when did we ever get a UCS set without grey, black, white or best case dark red being the main colours?

The broken engine could use a lot more greebling but that would be an easy fix.

The gigantic stickers at the front though are horrible to look at. It's unforgivable that they use stickers for such a curved large piece at the front. And the nougat colour of the sticker is so bad. If I were to collect such sets, I'd prefer 15$ more just for a print in Cobi quality (as Lego prints can be quite weak as well).

Same thing in the US. Unless it’s just a surprise in-store only thing, looks like Blue Milk Luke is another hit towards Fulcrum’s credibility.

Looks like a reasonably good model aside from those 2 stickers on the big quarter circle slopes at the front which will no doubt be a pain in the big behind to apply. But it's still just a UCS landspeeder, and I really can't justify paying that much when I only want the new C-3PO legs.

No polybag for NZ/Aus so we only get the Aunt Beru kitchen and the beskar keyring. Checked the US site out of curiosity and they also have the AT-ST and no blue milk luke. Could be a store exclusive, or that rumour was false.

thanks for that, no sure I'd spend €160 and no blue milk Luke.

Promos in the US:

<snip>

Very disappointed that we're not getting Luke at 70 bucks and are instead getting a small chunk of scrap metal...

Aunt Beru doesn't interest me, so the most desirable May 4th promotion for me is just the double VIP points.

Only double points on "selected" sets? What a letdown. Double points are most of the reason I even bother getting anything Star Wars on May 4th.

It will probably go for at least $40 on the re-sell market right away so it's definitely worth picking up

I completely missed that, I wonder what they will be, maybe just the new sets? Either way that's another disappointment.

Good catch, but damn. Lego is really getting stingy here. This might make me reconsider my purchases a little.

Double points will only be applicable to the following sets according to the Dutch Lego site:

Identical list for the US. Slim pickens, if you bother to look them all up.

Can get those snowtrooper packs, but no Hoth AT-ST...LEGO keeps making it easier and easier to pass on this.
