Not going to bother looking up the sets since I don’t see the landspeeder on there and that was my intended purchase. Ah lego, you’re killing my desire to support you!

Wow, that selected set list has really killed any interest I had. I've been wanting to pick up R2.  Doube VIP + promos would have been a sweet offer and hard to pass up. Now I'll likely just wait until Zaavi has it on sale again. I suppose LEGO knows they don't need to offer x2 VIP on certain sets (and have a hard time even keeping things in stock at "full price") but the optics are pretty bad IMO. Seems really stingy.  Doesn't seem very "celebratory"

I’ll still get the UCS Landspeeder, but it’s a bummer it’s excluded. Not a dealbreaker for me, but it would have softened the deal a bit.

Thanks for sharing, but man, this list mostly sucks. Like half of these are sets that I thought were already retired or near retirement, and they're mostly all small sets which are kind of a waste for Double VIP. You can also get a lot of them cheaper elsewhere. I'm kind of regretting getting the Light Cruiser a couple weeks ago instead of just waiting to get it here though.

I'll still get the Mos Eisley Cantina but would have been even happier to get extra points for it. I was also planning on getting the UCS R2-D2 but I think I'll just save that for a later promotion. (Ideally, it'll be in stock when the Monkey Swing and Cardboard Rocket promos are live during the second half of May.) I'll get the Bad Batch Shuttle instead, as it's half the price, was next on my wishlist anyway and actually does have Double VIP. Looks like I won't be getting an extra Aunt Beru promo after all.

The list comes directly from the LEGO site so most likely true (though may vary region to region?) On the US site if you scroll to the bottom of the May the 4th page the list is there along with all of the other disclaimers.

Yeah no Double VIP points is basically the norm when the new sets come out, all star wars should be included, but sadly you usually have to wait for a Double Point only window. I think very few of my big sets have ever gotten double VIP points, which sadly still ranks behind many other rewards programs

The fact that a number of the sets with the VIP point promotion are retired is incredibly questionable. I hope that this doesn't mean going forward, that they're going to exclude the bigger sets from 2X points as that's pretty much the only time they're worth buying directly from LEGO IMO.

I agree that all star wars sets should be included, there are only 2 sets on the list I'm remotely interested in buying but I had more new sets on the wishlist

Somebody beat me to posting the list. But one set that's on the US list I don't see mentioned yet is the new Purple Clone Turbo Tank, 75342. That seems to be the only new SW set that's getting double points.

I'll probably just get the sets I was looking for at Target at some point since they're cheaper there.

75342 was one of two sets I was thinking about for the 4th, but it's now MIA on my wishlist. It was there last night, and now blank. Anyone else have this issue? I really hope it is available by the launch. Still debating on the Bad Batch Shuttle, only getting it for a MOC eventually, but i guess double VIP is something for that, although I expect I could eventually get it cheaper somewhere else down the road.

Happened to me too. They took it off but then put it back up yesterday however it wasn’t available for preorder anymore. Shame as I was waiting for them to reveal the May 4th promo before buying it.

Yes it does. This is really frustrating. It's just silly to have this super-hyped event and take away many people's only incentive for coming. The GWP's are great, but their retail value is nearly mitigated by the VIP rewards lost without the double points promotion. I get that the secondary market will help for those who sell the extras, but I actually want to keep these things.

Yeah, that's pretty stingy. 

Since the qoute was missed earlier, I'll say it. Lower promos are either re-used or not even lego, higher one is a much higher threshold than normal, double VIP points are a limited selection of sets, many of which are retired/retiring or out of stock already... This deal is getting worse all the time!

Pretty sure Aunt Beru has been mentioned several times as a desired minifig. I for one am pretty happy about it, it's a quirky little set that I will hold on to. Price threshold is quite high however, should have spread my SW purchases a little bit better instead of splurging on the last GWP to get a monkey army. Would not be surprised if Owen shows up later this year.

This is not the UCS we're looking for.

I was planning on getting Yoda’s Hut and Bib Fortuna’s Throne room on May 4th. I’ll probably still do that, since the extra promos are worth the $12 I lose out on for not getting double VIP points.

 

If anyone was planning on buying the AT-AT or Millennium Falcon however, it would make more sense to wait for double VIP points down the line in order to save $40 or $45.

Beru was probably the second most requested figure behind Phase II Cody. I think most people are happy with the promo but after the dioramas from the last few years the execution could’ve been much better. 
 

The keyring looks alright. If I get it I think I’ll try and trade it for the Han keyring from the other year.
