The only thing I’m upset about is that the new outfits probably means that the 1st version of Omega will probably be exclusive to the Justifier, which is really annoying. Annoying maybe, in the same way moff Gideon is in his set, but which is coming with the larger lego sets, 1-3 figures usually remain exklusive. So nothing suprising there Quote

Not Mando-style hard armor, but she’s got a heavier-looking jacket and elbow and knee pads. Dave Filoni specifically mentioned in the panel that they wanted to give her more protection than she’d had; he described the “Kaminoan pajamas” as “reckless”. I'm glad she's got comparable armor to a rebel trooper now. (And yeah, I get characters like Han exist, but Omega would totally want her own BB suit, and she's a soldier. She'd want armor.) Makes for a more interesting figure, anyway. 2 hours ago, Sneakguest said: Annoying maybe, in the same way moff Gideon is in his set, but which is coming with the larger lego sets, 1-3 figures usually remain exklusive. My opinion is that the main characters should generally be available in one or two of their more common outfits in a sub$50 set every few years, but if season 2 omega is in a cheaper set, I don't have a problem with season 1 omega being exclusive to the justifier. That said, if we don't get a gideon soon, that's gonna annoy me. He's the main villain of the most popular star wars property of the past decade, he should be available in a set at the very least under $100 at some point. Quote

And, they literally worked on the scripts for years. First as a feature film, then as a series. Having watched the first two episodes several times myself, I'm not really seeing anything that merits this level of disdain... you're entitled to your opinion of course (though, again... maybe watch the show before you form that opinion?), but to me at least this series is a long step up from Book of Boba, and even some of the lesser episodes of Mando. 3... 2... 1 minutes before a mod says "back on topic, please". Spoiler 3.2.1. - no, but I don't wanna waste around 5 hours of time like I did for the Boba Fett show. I saw some scenes of a kid being chased by crooks, looking like they were the last extras your assistent director could find for a cheap local soap opera. I tried to see some of the Inquisitor scenes as they were great in Rebels. I just saw them standing and reading lines that didn't look very thought-out.. Maybe the rest was really good of course, maybe my hyper-critical persona could have even liked the rest. If the show becomes unforgettable and will always be mentioned for it's greatness I'll take another shot! Ewan McGregor is a great actor but can anyone tell me his personality or arc in the prequels (not TCW!)? He didn't want to train Anakin and liked the dogmatic rules of the Jedi. Then he did wanna train him. Then he was worried a lot about him, especially not to get sexual with Padme (though I guess he was right as Padme got pregnant). Then he wasnt worried in EPIII until he found out Ani killed kids so Kenobi tried to kill Anakin. The only character trait I find is that he was making jokes and trolling people in EPII and III, while he was very serious in EPI. The actor did an amazing job for what little he got but still I don't see what pulls people in for this character anyway? Say what you will about prequel Anakin - he was clearly a psychopath ("I killed them all, even the children") but while not being a role model he at least had some characteristics. I also never properly saw The last Jedi - the Oscar Isaac character making "your mama" prank calls in a very unfitting opening scene turned me off so I only ever watch some scenes with Luke. EPIX I couldn't even bother to see the trailer. I don't factually know if these movies are bad. It's like assuming that it was raining as everything is wet and the weather report was forecasting rain. But yes maybe I am wrong and as said, if some of those tv shows and movies go down in history as great stuff I'll give it a try! Edited May 30, 2022 by Kim-Kwang-Seok Quote
McMurder_them_softly Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 Passing on the Andor set and BD-1. Never was one for buildable characters (not that the sets are bad) just not for me and my collection. I am most excited for the Andor show, but the set just is not doing it for me. Designers seem to have done a great job replicating the look of the ship, but the ship itself...pass. Hope to see sets based on shows announced at Celebration (Bad Batch, whoop!) Quote
ToaDraco Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 The Bad Batch trailer has me very excited, I'm so happy Gungi survived Order 66 and it gives me hope Byph did too and hopefully he'll be in the show too. I really liked the Jedi Padawans from those episodes in Clone Wars so I'm glad they survived(or presumably the rest survived too) I could definitely see them being recurring characters in multiple shows and hopefully something live-action. I'm getting ahead of myself though. Hopefully Gungi is in the show enough to warrant him getting his own minifig(and Fingers-crossed for Byph, I love Ithorians and I love the Ithorian mold), same goes for Imperial Cody, especially since they're already making a new mold for ep3 Cody and they like to reuse new molds. We'll definitely get updated versions of the Batch and maybe even Cid too since she's back for another season and seems to be just as prominent. Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 The description of the second Obi-Wan set feels off. It includes minifigures from Episode 3, but scenery from another one? I fully trust Promobricks, it's just that it feels really random... I thought I'd be buying this set, but watching half of this series cured me from any desire to have any merchandise based on it. Balrogofmorgoth Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Haven’t been on in a while so I’ll recap: the Andor set doesn’t offer anything spectacular but it’s a decent set and I’ll get it. Jedi Starfighter looks good, I love the printed robes on Obi-swan but I wish they switched his hair to the old Luke hair piece. It’s about time we get Taun We so I’m very excited about that. I’ll get BD-1 because it looks really good and I want to send the message that we want more Fallen Order sets. Can’t wait to see the other sets for this summer and I really can’t wait to get the Kenobi sets. The Scythe looks amazing, and I’m very happy it comes with three Inquisitors Quote

While I do mostly like the series, I agree that something about it does feel a little off, though I can’t quite put my finger on it. It might be because of the largely bland score and some things just looking off in the series due to budget issues or limitations of the Volume. Overall though, I’m enjoying it. However, I’m not sure what other sets Lego can make from this series to give us some missing minifigures. As for the list of Lego price increases, I’m honestly surprised that more Star Wars sets aren’t on there. Thank goodness there aren’t any UCS sets on the list as well (yet anyway). Most of the sets are either ones I already own, ones I don’t care about or ones I will likely pick up before this price hike goes into effect. In general though, it’s still annoying, especially for sets that already feel overpriced like Mando’s N-1, the diorama sets and most certainly The Justifier. Quote

Spoiler That just doesn't feel like Vader to me. He definately toys with his prey, but fully letting them go is unlike him. Especially given the singular focus and hatred for Kenobi that he seems to have, it just doesn't feel right for him to let him go over something as easy to stop as a lady with a pistol and a bit of fire. See, that's the thing. There's a lot of stuff I like about the show, or at least like on paper. Even some stuff from the first episode that I didn't like as much was done a lot better in this one. But there is this pervading feeling it seems we both have at least a bit that something's not quite right, but can't identify. Wait, it's not just the justifier? They're upping the price of the dioramas? And the N-1, which was already wildly overpriced? Geez. I'm not normally one to be like "waaah greedy company" but raising the price of sets already on shelves...that's kind of scummy and not something I've ever heard of for toys. Edit: it's response to the inflation. It's got to be, right? I mean, it still sucks, but on that level I understand it a bit more. I guess the surprising thing for me is that it's not more expensive here than in europe, since the US's inflation is significantly more than europe right now IIRC. 24 minutes ago, necrochasm said: My theory is that it was meant to appear in BoBF and it was a similar case to the First Order Scout Walker, but since it appeared in Bad Batch they just repurposed it with Bad Batch figures. I’ve been scratching my head at the fact that Lego would make the biggest, non-UCS set of the year a Bad Batch ship. It’s not even that prominent of a ship either. Ever since the Rebels line, Lego has been playing it very safe when it comes to making sets off the animated series and now they’re making the only two Bad Batch sets $100 and $160 (now $170…) respectively? The only problem with this theory is that I don’t know if the timelines would have added up with the production of TBOBF and the time spent designing this set, whereas the ship debuted in The Bad Batch about a year ago which would have given them plenty of time to design the set for this summer. 2 hours ago, Mandalorianknight said: Wait, it's not just the justifier?
