Hidronax Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 (edited) Hi everybody, Hopefully I'm in the right section. So, I don't own an Axl from Nexo Knights and after looking at the images online, it looks like his torso is made of two parts: one minifigure torso, and the top bit that attaches to it. Could anybody take a photo of the inside of the torso for me? I am very curious, I wonder if the two parts can be separated. If so, I hope the print on the bottom part covers the full torso, I'd like to use it to make a normal-sized Axl. Thanks! EDIT: Since I posted this, I have bought an Axl myself, and I can confirm that the piece does not attach through the arm holes. I believe it is glued at this point, but I am not interested in breaking it for confirmation. I can post specific photos if requested. Edited October 19, 2021 by Hidronax Relevant update Quote
The_Fiery_Rooster Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 You are right, it is indeed an assembly of two parts. However, they are glued together, so there isn't really a non-destructive way of separating them that I've ever seen. As for the print on the torso, I wouldn't expect there to be much more than what we can already see, so I'm afraid you might be out of luck. It would be interesting to see it deconstructed though, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone has done so. If anyone else knows, feel free to share it here! Quote
Hidronax Posted October 6, 2021 Author Posted October 6, 2021 Yeah, I thought that more than glued, the top might attach to both the arm holes of the bottom, in a way that is not possible to separate them. This is why I was curious to see a photo from the bottom mostly. If anyone has separated the two parts, even in a distructive way, I'd be very interested to see! Even just out of curiosity. Quote

Either the separation or simply by using a different torso? Quote
Alex_7 Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Did not find anyone who has separated Axl's upper torso so I did it myself and decided to post the results here since this thread showed up first in my searches. -the print abruptly ends right where you can not see it anymore, at least on the yellow variant - haven't slashed any others. -normal minifig torso is glued to the upper one at the top - tip of the neck and top of body. here's a link to a photo album I made on flickr: Quote
Artanis I Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 (edited) I also tackled this after my previous post, but forgot to share my results. I took the opposite approach however - I demolished the outer section to use the 'normal' torso. It, too, only has printing on the exposed part. I made a 'sticker' with the logo to place on the blank part of the torso that shows through the standard Nexo armour piece. Here is my troop of Nexonauts: Edited December 12, 2024 by Artanis I Quote
Hidronax Posted December 17, 2024 Author Posted December 17, 2024 Thank you guys! It's interesting to me, I never stopped being curious about this. It's a shame the piece is glued so firmly, it might have been cool to put Axl's armor on top of other minifigs. I have made my own sticker for a "downsized" version of Axl cause I found the big torso a bit too much, I'll share pictures when I'm home. Quote
VinnieCannoli Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Love seeing Nexo Knights discussion. I army build nexo knights and always happy to see some other people doing that too. We are in a timeline when it's super easy to do that. Quote
