November 13, 200816 yr That Lyoko kid again? Is this the fourth time? Edited November 13, 200816 yr by Pencoin
November 13, 200816 yr With (...) the new cartoon debuting on Cartoon Network in a few weeks, they'd be crazy not to continue the line. I don't know man, have you seen previews for that show? If you ask me, it looks kinda stupid. Batman looks like the corny one from the 60's TV show, and they make it look like Batman couldn't accomplish anything without some other superhero teaming up with him. It's just an excuse for giving some of the less known DC heroes the animated treatment. Oh well, I guess we'll find out tomorrow how bad it really is. Edited November 13, 200816 yr by Oky Wan Kenobi

Look man, if you want to see Dark Bats, just go watch The Dark Knight or BTAS then. There are all different interpretations of Batman and to show only one is silly in my opinion. To me this looks like a good show so far, a call back to the classic silver age of comics. Plus its great for the kids who can't watch BTAS or other darker shows. And of course Batman can't accomplish some things without help, he's still just a man. So bring it on, looks like a great treatment of a different form of Bats. Batbrick Away!
November 13, 200816 yr I agree, I don't think this will connect with children though. I've heard some call it babish already.

This is basically like Justice League Unlimited. IT has so many characters that it's impossible to focus on any one guy. And plus its a KID"S SHOW on CARTOON NETWORK, one of the worst stations on television. Edited November 13, 200816 yr by daxflame680
November 14, 200816 yr After seeing pictures of Hush from the video game, I'm prepared to purchase any set that has him. In the game, his design was simplistic, yet unique.
November 14, 200816 yr i think there should be a villans battle pack with all the villans from the videogame and the minifigures T L C already made does anyboby else think so Edited November 14, 200816 yr by wildcat

Plus its great for the kids who can't watch BTAS or other darker shows. Yeah, I guess you're right. It's a BTAS/Justice League type show for the little ones. Sure, there are different interpretations of Bats, and I do tolerate them, but it doesn't mean I have to like them. And of course Batman can't accomplish some things without help, he's still just a man. Some things. Maybe. But not all the time! He is still The Bat! So bring it on, looks like a great treatment of a different form of Bats. Sure, bring it on. I never said that CN shouldn't air this show or anything. I just expressed my first impression of it. I agree, I don't think this will connect with children though. I've heard some call it babish already. Well, I wouldn't call it "babyish". I'm guessing, it will be in a similar maturity level as Transformers Animated (which wasn't a bad show). Btw, who is saying that? The show isn't even out yet! I completely agree with you. This is basically like Justice League Unlimited. IT has so many characters that it's impossible to focus on any one guy. And plus its a KID"S SHOW on CARTOON NETWORK, one of the worst stations on television. Thank you. But CN is not one of the worst stations. Some shows are quite alright, even though there's a lot of retarded crap on there as well, especially during Adult Swim and Toonami.
November 14, 200816 yr Well, I wouldn't call it "babyish". I'm guessing, it will be in a similar maturity level as Transformers Animated (which wasn't a bad show).Btw, who is saying that? The show isn't even out yet! Young kids are, from the current media. Big companys have there target audiences all wrong (Here in the UK at least). This show and LEGO seem to appeal to younger children then the companies 'target audience'. The actual Target audience call it babish. You might find this a bit upsetting but the Target audience which I think is 7-12's? Would rather be playing violent games like Grand Theft Auto. Sad but true.
November 14, 200816 yr Well atm I am watching a batman cartoon on TV And there is a guy with a robot arm and he has a yellow suit, he would make an awsom fige especially with the new Agents arms
November 15, 200816 yr Well atm I am watching a batman cartoon on TV And there is a guy with a robot arm and he has a yellow suit, he would make an awsom fige especially with the new Agents arms Hey, I watched that too A minifig of him would be awesome!
November 15, 200816 yr Batman wishlist thread? Ok. Joker's hideout- vat of acid, various traps and stuff ala Batman: the Animated Series Batman Beyond- flying Batmobile, etc... Joker's 18-wheeler vs Batpod or SWAT truck, include SWAT Gordon and Dark Knight Joker
November 17, 200816 yr I bet this has been said before, but I'd love a bank scene, with Batman, Penguin, Bank Manager, two or three robot penguins, and two or three Gothom Police officers. And I'd love Lego to branch out a bit and have a small battle pack of Batman, Green Lantern, Superman, Flash, and Aquaman vs. Lex Luther, Joker, and other various archenemies.
November 19, 200816 yr I would like to see a set where Harvy Dent Becomes Two-Face, But I highly doubt that there is going to be any Batman set's for 09
November 19, 200816 yr He knew that. But you said it was the best Batmobile "almost ever" which implied there was a better one. Oh, I just meant that their could be a better Batmobile to arise, from the creators of Batman, but at the moment, the 60's wins.
November 19, 200816 yr I highly doubt that there is going to be any Batman set's for 09 Pencoin said somewhere that he thinks that there wont be any Bat sets because TLC lost the license. Is that true, the thing about the license? Edited November 19, 200816 yr by Oky Wan Kenobi
November 20, 200816 yr I hope that isn't true. There are so many more villians they could make. Yeah, but not many memorable ones. We already have all the biggest baddies.
November 20, 200816 yr Yeah, but not many memorable ones. We already have all the biggest baddies. Wrong. There is still Ra's, Talia, Hush, Ventriloquist and Black Mask are all major Batman baddies. Not to mention we haven't got a heap of major good guys like Gordon, Batgirl and Oracle. So hopefully the line continues. My hope is swaying admittingly, but I still refuse to simply keep posting "I think the line is over" all the time (not referring to you) Batbrick Away!
November 20, 200816 yr Wrong. There is still Ra's, Talia, Hush, Ventriloquist and Black Mask are all major Batman baddies. Yes, but they aren't memorable! They aren't characters where the kids can say "Oh cool, it's the Ice-Guy/Penguin-Guy/Plant-Lady/Clown/etc." when they see them on the box of a set. Also, Hush and Black Mask have only been featured in comics, which kids these days sadly don't read. I have just recently become a Bat-fan, and even I didn't know who Hush is until the Lego Batman Videogame came out. If I didn't know, how is a little kid supposed to (except from the videogame that is). And the Ventriloquist isn't any more important than the Mad Hatter, Clay Face, or Man Bat. With the popularity of the new series of movies, I could imagine there to be a Ras fig in the next set though - if there is going to be one. However, I absolutely agree on the heroes. I mean, a series of Batman toys without Gordon? How dare they! And even though I don't like Batgirl that much (because she tends to steal Batsy the show), I admit that it would definitely be sweet to have a fig of her! Batman 09 ON!
November 23, 200816 yr And the Ventriloquist isn't any more important than the Mad Hatter, Clay Face, or Man Bat. With the popularity of the new series of movies, I could imagine there to be a Ras fig in the next set though - if there is going to be one. Ventriloquist was in the comics, BTAS and The Batman. Clayface first appeared in 1940, and has been in the comics since, as well as BTAS and The Batman. Man-Bat was also in both series and the comics. As for Mad Hatter, he's been in the comics, been impersonated in the comics, been in BTAS and had a rather wonderful portrayal in the 60s series. Not important?

I didn't mean that they aren't important; I was just saying that the Ventriloquist is either less or equally important than all the other "average" Bat-villains and that if TLC is going to make him, they might as well make the others too. Therefore (and because he wasn't even in the Videogame), the chances of getting him is quite low. Besides, as I have said before, how is TLC going to make a dummy?
November 27, 200816 yr Ok, I'm seriously starting to suspect that Batman doesn't continue into 2009. On LEGO S@H- 7888 Tumbler-Call to check product availibility 7886 Harley Quinn- SOLD OUT 7885 Penguin- Call to Check product availibility 7884 Batman's Buggy- SOLD OUT Currently LEGO BATMAN: THE VIDEO GAME is only available for PC and DS. Keychains are also sold out. And on FBTB there was a thread asking if you think LEGO Batman will continue into 2009. EDIT: All 4 sets are now 'sold out' Edited November 30, 200816 yr by daxflame680
November 30, 200816 yr This is very disappointing because I had hoped to get the Tumbler for Christmas this year.
