natelite Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Ashoka seems to be asking. Remove the question marks though, and it's all fact (as far as we know). No new Batman sets in 2009, but there's no definitive long-term cancellation announced. i think that's just how TLC let fans down gently. seriously, batman is gone. but who knows...maybe he'll be back in 10 years time? are you going to hang around for that long? Mr Spielbrick Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Your view on this is the same as mine, Natelite... They never really came out and said "Harry Potter is dead!" either. But hey, when asked for the facts, I present the facts without interpretations. That said... Our mini Dark Knight will be missed. Yay for the great figs and sets that we got! Quote
Derek Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) Actually, they kinda did. Edited January 9, 2009 by darthperson Quote
Mr Spielbrick Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) Okay, they did. More than a YEAR after the last set was released. That's not announcing it. That's finally admitting it. (In my not so humble view, anyway.) Couldn't they use the end of a line as a marketing stunt? "As a farewell we TLC give you the fans what you've wanted for two years: the Tumbler!" While what they did was just bring out four not-too-inspired sets. Only one and a half new minifig. Harley and a variation on Bats. Did we really need another Robin, Penguin, Joker and Freeze? Couldn't they have squeezed Gordon in one of those sets? I'm a fierce believer in ending with a bang, in any field. Ending with a bang this ain't. Ending with one sparse majeur note after a mineur bar, that's what this is to me. Aw, listen to me, all complaining! I absolutely love what TLC did with the Batman line. There are some great figs out there and some of the sets were totally brilliant. I just have a qualm with how they handle terminating their lines. Edited January 9, 2009 by Mr Spielbrick Quote
Bricks Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I heard that it's really true Batman is for the upcooming year dead Maybe TLC won't suporting film's that are approved ex 16 years concerning the question about the last film. I hope that we can see next film more Batman set's again! Greetings 'Bricks' Quote
