Skipper 24 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 I only got 3 Batman sets too all of which I like. Some of the sets have cool minifigs especially the villains which I love. But I doubt TLC would be able to continue because there aren't really any more sets they could produce without repeating ideas. I mean we got a penguin sub with the bat cave and a new one as well tell me that's not repeating ideas. I would like to see it continue though if they added new villains. Quote
The Who Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I would love some villians from the game, only a few of which I have seen. Although I am not really a huge fan of batman, there are many building ideas to be used and minifigs and/or parts that come in handy with mocs. I would name a few villian figs that I would like to see made into a fig, but I do not know the names of those few. Quote
jedikermit Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Like probably everyone else here, now that I've seen the designs of some of the characters in the video game--Commissioner Gordon, Batgirl, Clayface...I'm really impatient to get those characters as LEGO figures. So I'm hoping in 2009 we see a few more of those. Hopefully the Batman line is doing well enough--or LEGO has paid enough for the license that they're going to continue supporting it anyway. I'd still love to see a Police HQ (with Batsignal), Villain Hideout, Wayne Manor, and there are still dozens of Bat-vehicles that LEGO can either adapt or dream up on their own that would make me very happy. But if it's all just the same villains again, that's gonna get old for the AFOLs. give us a few new characters, and continue sprinkling in the ones that have already been released so the kids can find 'em. Quote
Brainbox Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 You see what happens when Batbrick and I aren't around? Everyone discusses what they're supposed to. I really hope we get both Batgirl AND Oracle. They are both really essential and I'd love to read your expression if they released her. Twice! Plus the Batgirl uniform could be used as a trophy if nothing else. No, I mean, would the gun be too small and fragile to be attached to Scarface? Just throwing it out there, I can't wait to see the game version to know. I'd still rather see Scarface hold the gun, it'd just look better than Wesker doing it, from both design and character perspectives. So do we know if he's in the game then? Because I keep hearing conflicting rumours. I disagree, I'd prefer Two-Face to be a side villain with another in a set that gives that villain the vehicle. He already has a car. He has a van. Personally, I think he deserves something a little more stylish. TLC would be crazy enough to try it! Though the Joker missile sounds perfect, unless we get a Tropical styled Joker I'd prefer another villain, like Wonderland rocket or something that equals Tetch's insanity. Though I prefer the Hatmobile In that case, give us tropical Joker on a little island, with a Joker-rocket missile launcher built on it. Then give us a Bat-rocket that Bats can use to chase the missle into orbit. Something like the one from Batman and Son. Though I prefer the Hatmobile I've got it! A Bowler Wildcat! But I doubt TLC would be able to continue because there aren't really any more sets they could produce without repeating ideas. I'm not so sure about that. There are lots more villains we could get, not to mention heroes, locations and lots more Bat-vehicles. The Bat-vehicles don't even have to be 'real' either: Bat-train, Bat-neutral buoyancy undersea scooter, Bat-skis, Bat-luge, Bat-skateboard, etc. But if it's all just the same villains again, that's gonna get old for the AFOLs. give us a few new characters, and continue sprinkling in the ones that have already been released so the kids can find 'em. Because rereleased villains are always good for vigs or Batcave trophies. Quote
Batbrick Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 You see what happens when Batbrick and I aren't around? Everyone discusses what they're supposed to. Frankly, it downright disgusts me! Twice! Plus the Batgirl uniform could be used as a trophy if nothing else. Indeed, plus we could even get variations of the uniform as well. speaking of which, I am so going to make my own Batsuits like off the game. I'd still rather see Scarface hold the gun, it'd just look better than Wesker doing it, from both design and character perspectives. So do we know if he's in the game then? Because I keep hearing conflicting rumours. Good point, I'd prefer that too, but I also would take him holding the gun if I must. Too bad he isn't in the game. He has a van. Personally, I think he deserves something a little more stylish. Point, but the problem is that Two-Face is a Freak Gangster, so there's not a whole lot of other vehicles to do with him, though a saw a Two-Face sedan on tihs forum once and that's be awesome. In that case, give us tropical Joker on a little island, with a Joker-rocket missile launcher built on it. Then give us a Bat-rocket that Bats can use to chase the missle into orbit. Something like the one from Batman and Son. Cut the island and just have him with a Hawaiian themed rocket and you're in business! He HAS to have a camera as well! Exactly, and if 2009 conitunes its great trend we may see a return to classic buildings os we could get a Wayne Manor or something. Because rereleased villains are always good for vigs or Batcave trophies. My villains that need to be rereleased in new form is Catwoman (new suit), Killer Croc (monster version), Two-Face (Tim Sale, need I say more?), Joker (tropical), Riddler (classic suit), Poison Ivy (green), Robin (red and black) and Bane and Harley as themselves. Batbrick Away! Quote
jedikermit Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 This isn't necessarily the right place to say all this, but it's probably the best place to say it. Yesterday my sons (ages 4 and 6) and I spent about seven hours playing Batman with all of my different Batman LEGO sets. It was great. I was mostly the villains, and they were mostly the heroes, and they got a few extra heroes from my customs, like Green Arrow, Black Canary, Zatanna and Huntress. In any case, we built a big ol' Gotham City, and I built a new Mr. Freeze armored truck (it's terrible), my older boy built a Riddler spaceship of some kind, and my younger boy kept building odd things for Robin. It just reinforced to me what great toys these are--very well-designed, with play in mind. They all held up really well, even to rough play--right up until my 6 year old got a little too into the storyline, was rushing someone off to Arkham, and somersaulted onto the Joker Helicopter. That was a huge mess. At least it gives me something "new" to build again! Quote
Brainbox Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Point, but the problem is that Two-Face is a Freak Gangster, so there's not a whole lot of other vehicles to do with him, though a saw a Two-Face sedan on tihs forum once and that's be awesome. I see your point, but give him something like the beige car here, only in black and white, and it'd look stylish and ganster-y. Or maybe even something a little more BTASy in style, with the deco grille at the front. Cut the island and just have him with a Hawaiian themed rocket and you're in business! He HAS to have a camera as well! Of course, the camera is a must. Plus we'd get a purple fedora. Robin's a villain now is he? But we definitely need a suit Riddler instead of another jumpsuit one. Give him a green bowler as well, and a question mark cane. Green Ivy would be great, and we so need a purple Catwoman. Never much cared for the suit in the comics, I prefer the new one, but a minifig purple suit could look so great. It just reinforced to me what great toys these are--very well-designed, with play in mind. Exactly. The thing we all have to remember is that Lego is a toy, and no matter what people say, comics came about for kids. Both are essentially very childish things. Comics should be fun, and the sets should and do reflect that. Quote
Batbrick Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 This isn't necessarily the right place to say all this, but it's probably the best place to say it. In any case, we built a big ol' Gotham City, and I built a new Mr. Freeze armored truck (it's terrible), my older boy built a Riddler spaceship of some kind, and my younger boy kept building odd things for Robin. An armoured Freeze truck eh? I was working on one too, great minds think alike! Great to hear you doing that though, as oyu say it really reinforces not only how fun they are, but that there are countless other ideas to explore. I agree, despite somewhat disappointing figs this year with the exception of the Batbuggy they are all wonderfully built and very fun. Or maybe even something a little more BTASy in style, with the deco grille at the front. Oh that would be beautiful! Definitely so, I'd prefer it to be more subtle though, perhaps no colour variation or maybe even better the black/dark grey Tim Sale style? Of course, the camera is a must. Plus we'd get a purple fedora. Definitely, though I love mine, it's pretty famous you know Robin's a villain now is he? Well, technically Jason Todd can be considered a villain and he was a Robin and became the "Red Robin" temporarily recently But yes, you caught my mistake. The green bowler would be beautiful, I'd love to see Green Ivy either getting plant style green hair or her more vibrant red hair. I love the purple Catwoman especially in TLH/DV/When in Rome, so I'd totally dig that. I'm thinking that a henchman pack would be the ultimate thing though. Think about it: Two-Face twin thugs with black/white colour scheme and identical faces (not the standard henchmen face though, these guys are Romulus and Remus) Joker Goons with clown masks and colourful outfits Mr.Freeze henchmen with blue jacket pieces Penguin guys with tuxedos and top hats Scarecrow's men would have nightmarish getups Riddler's lime green fedora guys off the game Poison Ivy's plant men The list goes on really. The best part is that they could be released as impulses or battlepacks without impeding the "no characters in tiny rsets rule. Batbrick Away! Quote
Brainbox Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I agree, despite somewhat disappointing figs this year with the exception of the Batbuggy they are all wonderfully built and very fun. And even the Bat-buggy, in my opinion, has potential for MODing, so all good. I just need to get them now... Oh that would be beautiful! Definitely so, I'd prefer it to be more subtle though, perhaps no colour variation or maybe even better the black/dark grey Tim Sale style? Hmm... I might see what I can come up with for the next goody-bag. I'm thinking that a henchman pack would be the ultimate thing though. Think about it:[...] The list goes on really. The best part is that they could be released as impulses or battlepacks without impeding the "no characters in tiny rsets rule. Please yes. I would love that. SW has shown us that BPs can be done with a license theme, so give us four or five generic henchmen minifigs, maybe three or four different BPs. They don't even necessarily need to be 'Riddler pack', 'Joker pack', etc. They could just be 'mixed pack 1', 'mixed pack 2' and so on. Quote
Batbrick Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 And even the Bat-buggy, in my opinion, has potential for MODing, so all good. I just need to get them now... And seriously, how awesome was my version? Hmm... I might see what I can come up with for the next goody-bag. Go for it, in the meant time I still need to make those extra Batman suits. Though I did make Mr Freeze's armoured truck recently and a Scarecrow vig. Definitely, love the idea of a mixed pack, sounds brilliant. I really hope Lego goes full super saiyan (just go with it) next year and really puts everything in to the Batman theme. SHH exclusives would be awesome too, would allow for plenty figs that could be deemed fan-only territory like with the Market, except with Lady Shiva and all those other characters nobody ever heard of. Batbrick Away! Quote
Cpt. Willabee Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 I would like to see a minifig of Heath Ledger's Joker from The Dark Knight Quote
JimboJones Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 These are the sets i would like to see Gotham Bank: Includes Batman, Robin, Commisioner Gordan, Clayface, Two-Face, The riddler, 2 Henchman, 2 Police Officers. Includes Batcoptor, Police car & Twoface truck. Batgirl's Batcar: Poison Ivy's Greenhouse: Batgirl, Poison Ivy, 2 Henchmen. Includes Small Greenhouse with 2 giant, killer plants. Nightwing's Glider: Killer Croc's Getaway: Nightwing, Killer Croc. Includes Nightwing's glider, Killer Croc's Muscle car and a Decoy crocodile. Batmobile: Batman meets Man-Bat: Includes Batman, Man-Bat. Includes Batmobile, Man-Bat's Flying Something. Quote
Ridden Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 I want the Batmobile from BATMAN MOVIE #1 .... Quote

Killer Moth, for example. We need him as a fig, but an awful lot of people may not know who he is (although that number might have decreased with the game). Maybe we could get the Penny Plunderer as well. Quote
JimboJones Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 if they made a clayface figure they could have changable hands to change it to like a clay hammer or something Quote
hollisbrick Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I really hope Batman continues, I actually haven't got any sets atm due to money but I shall but the smaller batman set of 08 and maybe the pengiun sub ] Btw, it the pungiun face on the sub a stickeR? Quote

Batmobile: Batman meets Man-Bat: Includes Batman, Man-Bat. Includes Batmobile, Man-Bat's Flying Something. Not bad actually, I like what you've done here. You have WAY too many figs in the bank though, a realistic estimate would cut out one of the officers, Riddler and a henchman. The Batgirl's one is good, but I'd change it to a cycle. I think your Nightwing set is spot on though, just have Killer Croc as a more monstrous version. I think a Batcar might be more appropriate for the last one too, a small set with no vehicle for Manbat. Killer Moth, for example. We need him as a fig, but an awful lot of people may not know who he is (although that number might have decreased with the game). Maybe we could get the Penny Plunderer as well. Don't go too far my friend, there are still a heck of a lotta A-listers before figs like the Penny Plunderer. if they made a clayface figure they could have changable hands to change it to like a clay hammer or something That would be great, maybe those new robot arms but tan coloured could work? hollisbrick Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Today I watched a cartoon Batman shiw which I havent for a while and I saw this dude with puppets on his hands about to gt run over by a train goin 1km per hour and it could be a set I reckon Quote
jedikermit Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 ...there's also a new Batman cartoon debuting in a few weeks on Cartoon Network, "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," that has Batman teaming up with people from all over the DC Universe. http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv_shows/batmanbb/index.html It'll be interesting to see if this has any influence on the LEGO line. Probably not, I'm guessing, but hopefully a new cartoon series will maybe spark a few more toy buyers and keep the line going. Quote
Pencoin Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Here is a few ideas: Nightwings Bike: The Flight of Manbat. The bike wouldnt be his one form the other set, it would be brick built. It would also transform into a flying mode via the wheels turning on there sides and the sides opeing up into wings with missles under the wings (purely for TLCness)Two comparments for his sticks as well. Man-Bat would just have a vial. Wayne Manor. Would include Bruce Wayne (Not suit), Alfred, Dick, Tim, Ace (the dog) and Ra's. There would be a secret opening behind a clock (No Batcave though). Ra's would have a sword. Multiple Robberys. Would include Ace the Bathound on that thing he had from that program (sorry I forgot its name) chasing Firefly. Robin chasing the Riddler car on a red bike and Batman chasing Poision ivy (Riding a plant like the one in the game) on a Bat-cutter. Quote
Brainbox Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Don't go too far my friend, there are still a heck of a lotta A-listers before figs like the Penny Plunderer. But... I want my Penny Plunderer. Robin's car:Man-Bat's Sonic Cannon: Includes Robin, Man-Bat. Includes Robins Car, Sonic Cannon. $10 I'm not sure a sonic cannon is the best weapon for Man-Bat, it'd probably hurt his ears. Krypto the Superdog. And I assume you mean his hoverboard-thing? Quote
Orion Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 I'd like to see one of those batman and superman team ups sets, I think it was a series called world's finest. I'd also like more super villianesses/heroines. Preferably the nice looking ones. New bat suits would be nice also. They should make one ginourmous set that includes almost every bat man minifig ever made in a nice little playset, I wouldn't mind shelling out a couple extra bucks for one of those. Quote
Pirate_Skillz Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 I reckon they should make a wayne manor being attacked by some new villains along with a old one. A new set with two-face in, and a set with clayface. Quote
