Back on topic, I'm pleasantly surprised Lego used 6 shock absorbers, they could easily just use 2 to keep the whole model upright like in the Wrangler.

Probably due to the high complain rate of the Wrangler being half-baked not having front suspension, a working engine or a differential. And now there was extra budget not spent on licensing fees to be able to add more parts. Which is even more of a reason why Technic sets should be no-name like this.

From my experience testing the tyres on my mini trophy truck, the balloon version has a much better traction. The model is able to acelerate faster, climb better and pull higher G forces (over 1g) when cornering with balloon ones

And now we know why the Wrangler tires have yet again not been used on the Monster Jam pullback sets. The tractor wheels would just spin out on a glossy floor and they'd drive maybe 1m only.

The chainsaw has "ChainSAW" written on the side.

Y'know, for anyone who may mistake it for a soup strainer.

Well you wouldn't want to get the two mixed up now would you? Reminds me of this guy:

The beauty of non branded non licensed non C+ (until it becomes more better and sense making) Lego kits. Sariel and Racingbrick (and also elementary) reviews will be hopefully up by late Febraury (Sariel confirmed his review dates on his FB page).

Is the gear box for the engine or for the winch?

Gearbox is for engine. Winch control is under the seat and the 2x5 orange panel.

Under the seat, I think that it is only to unlock the winch. The set 42094 had a function to change the speed of rewinding of the winch with the rabbit and turtle images.

Edit: you may be right, the stickers on the set are 1, N and 2.

You mean the 2l liftarm with the red balljoint? Seems tight to get to, and hard to operate.

I guess its not a crank. More like a ratchet release!

As long as TLG keeps producing function-rich sets like this one, I'm happy and won't care about the overwhelming number of car sets

Agreed! This one is a sure buy.

And it has 2 differentials...turtle speed mode and a wabbit speed mode ... I agree with others - best set in first half of 2022....

Dito. This one is really well build. The turntable for the connection of the rear axles for example. Same goes for little details like the brake lever.

This would be a minor bummer if its really the crank...

Great-looking model, tons of functions. Cool stuff! I like the "Tortoise and the Hare" modes for the piston engine as well - it's great when TLG decide to make the most boring part of a Technic model more interesting! Note the "Taki" branding as well - somebody's a fan of Soul Calibur...

(...that, or it's just another spelling of "Tacchi")

Nope, you gotta turn it yourself. You also have to supply the "bzzz" noise as well.

And move chain with fingers...

Not sure white is the best choice of colour though. Light grey would look better. And this thing needs a B-model! Off-roader with a spare tyre would be cool.

Other than that...

I built that chainsaw in mid of december, and i would say, despite it being primitive, its highly additctive and fun thing. Chain rotates easily and good. And i didnt know how to say correctly - its oddly satisfying.

With few additions to cover emptyness inside...

I was kinda curious if they might change the old frictionless half-pins to the new ones with friction ridges, but apparently not, as the headlight plates appear to connect to blue half-pins. I can't really think of a reason not to use the new pins though.
