Dammit, it's never Soul Calibur... Quote

Wish we knew the designers from all Technic sets.Unofficial Designer Bricklists 31 minutes ago, Maaboo35 said: Guess that's where the "Taki" branding comes from. Dammit, it's never Soul Calibur... Yes, there is most of the times a hidden Easter egg in the sticker to show the designer. Like "UW" for Uwe Wabra, "MK" for Markus Kossmann etc. Quote

Michael has MT/MJ and Olav has OK420. Other designers use similar conventions. And now we have "Taki" for Sam Tacchi. Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 Brickset's review is in. Major negs are the colour scheme and the stickers being responsible for the look. Quote

thekoRngear Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 According to this guy from YT the 42139 paper manual has this yellow tint on some pages: Has anybody here encountered this? Quote

Never seen that before. In a previous job I was a maintenance engineer at a printing factory with massive 6 colour Heidelberg's and such. I doubt there are many like that. Quote
howitzer Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Printing errors can happen, one set I have had instructions with some pages misaligned pages so that part of the page was missing. I got new instructions booklet without issue from customer service though. Quote
Stuartn Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Just finished building mine, I have to say, it is a great little set, to be honest I didn't have the greatest expectations for it but it is quite a nice model and is aesthetically better than I expected, and slightly bigger too. I am going to do some of the modifications proposed in this thread, especially to the chainsaw component. Quote

No one complained about the looks of 9398 which had the same cool color scheme. Some people forget it's supposed to be a kids toy not a display set for adults. In fact this color combination works so well that it can be seen in our fauna too with monarch butterflies, tigers, Calico cats, koi fish etc. Quote

Brickset did do a feature on how this set would look with a more cohesive blue scheme, and it does look better. Plus, it really needs a big Technic figure to top it off. Quote
R4ph Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 I received an assembled mine this week (I snatched it for £45 on amazon uk) It's seating nicely next to my defender for now, but I think it will receive a couple of mods. I might try a camo version, as ut doesn't need many pieces. Quote
