Mathematically, the connection points on the blade's direction are two axle holes, so the whole build is a right trapezoid:

DC = 1, AD = 2, and AB = 1.5. AB is the cam piece. The diagonal BC is larger than 2 but is forced into a length of 2, which are 3 holes apart, in the bottom liftarm.

Would be an easy fix if the cam is not forced to be perpendicular. So using (O) and (O +) beam isntead of (+ O +) half beams?

Cn you post these and others in the LDD new parts too:

I check this forum too :sweet:.

I will prepare these parts and add them when IDs are known.

If @R0Sch is okay with that? In the LDD files it will be stated that you are the creator of the 3D models.

Apparently there's an illegal building technique at the back, according to the speed build video.

The bottom axle hole of the cam piece theoretically can't fit into the pinhole, but the builder is instructed to put an axle hole through it.

I've tried this kind of assembly now. Considering the tolerances, the illegal technique is less wobbly. The parts don't get twisted but only pushed to the limit.

It's probably because it has to hold the long blade, is it?

My files are only mock-ups. I wouldn't publish them if I were you. The only accurate part might be the 2x1x1 curved panel, but I cannot be certain.

Corporate needs you to find the difference between the left design and the right design.

V8, raised, attached further back (and connected through a gear reduction?)

Plus other modifications I don't think I can figure out.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it... 42077-42096 reloaded ;)

Yeah, but if it ain't broke don't make it worse either. 42141 is a clear downgrade from a technical point of view. Just some new fancy panels to cover up the empty framework.

Compare the innards:

42000 v 42141_9

It was only when I started building the 42000 did I realize that it even has manifolds.

Shame to remove that and have the fake motor spin at a reduced speed.

They could easily have used the new diff to get the speed back up, too.

Looking at the photos of W13 from track today, tumbler tires as wets does not seem to be a bad choice. Wets are still Cinturato, so stickers on lego are incorrect. Wheel covers need improvements, they are too big. All teams chosed style of second FIA iteration (smaller, more bulky) instead of first drafts (big flat cover).

Yes. However, I'm planning to put in a mini-engine with spinning turbo, and too much rotational speed might rend it to pieces. Besides, what is lost in speed is gained in noise and moving parts, so I think that's ok.

(And I would really like to implement a pullback motor as an representation of KERS, as suggested by @Void_S on page 12 here)

Wrong name, incorrect sticker, wrong wheel cover.

Lego need to improve.

Hi ROSch,

Thanks for the part !

Can you tell me if it works on studio Mac.

I have imported the 3 files in:

/Applications/Studio 2.0/ldraw/collider
/Applications/Studio 2.0/ldraw/connectivity
/Applications/Studio 2.0/ldraw/parts

but don't find it in the library when I open studio. Did I make a mistake ?

@kbalage I think you may wanna cover this in your review!

Quoted the screenshot by purpose to make sense - the axle can be pushed in the hole without the smallest effort. Might not be a mathematically perfect fit but thanks to the flexibility of the parts there's no issue or even visible stress. I've seen multiple builds in official sets with more stress on the parts than this.

Would you like the Studio file that contains 42414 and 42000 to show the comparison in your video?

Cool suspension system

Its a must buy for me!
