metared Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 (edited) LEGO PETERBILT (MOD LEGO 42128) Hello everyone, it is difficult to call a modification of the LEGO set 42128! But it all started with the acquisition and alteration of the set 42128. You can say so in the footsteps of 42128 to Peterbilt. Model on Lego wheels 49.5mm. I tried to make it look like Peterbilt. The color scheme took white and black like the mod from 3fferman, I really liked this combination. I took some elements of the body from his photographs. By function: -doors open -the hood is opened -working fake V8 engine -suspension of rear axles using rubber bims Driving 2 L PU motor Steering 1L PU motor Large PU hub The plans are now to build a semi-trailer for him))) Edited November 16, 2021 by metared Quote
Gray Gear Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Looks pretty clean! I like the look of the front wheel arches. I think I would have preferred the black on the hood and sleeper cab to be white as well. But well, that's just me. Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 (edited) Beautiful truck! Wasn't there any chance to make the fan on the motor to spin as well? Nice rear axles 😉 Edited November 16, 2021 by MajklSpajkl Quote

Nice rear axles 😉 Hello! Yes, there was such an opportunity. but I decided to drop this feature. Because that would have had to redo the hood. And I was too lazy ((( Rear axles! I saw the idea with rubber suspension beams in your Kenworth! Thank you! Edited November 17, 2021 by metared Quote
westphald Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Nice build! I'm always impressed with how clean the exterior can be made. Detail work is not something I excel at. And it seems to move at a decent speed too! I really like the rear suspension idea. I had a similar idea for something I'm working on. Simple and effective. Thank you to whomever originally did that. Daniel-99 Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Very nice! How many models you have built before this one? - looks like it is not your first MOC ;-) What is the turning radius of the truck? Quote

The radius is large enough as no steering system modifications have been made. it is standard like the set 42128. Quote

I understand the laziness, been dealing with it for quite some time now I guess I would notice the axles, but I am building a digital model of my Kenworth and was right at those rear axles when you posted, so they fell into my eye immediately. I am glad you found them good enough to reuse them. Best regards. Quote
