Hi guys,

after several years of silence and other distractions i finally finished a new build.

It's an AMG GT3 racecar in the colors of the Octan corporation. The only thing missing i guess is some sponsor decals from octan.

The features are:

- Drive and steering with powerfunctions (2 L motors, 1 servo)

- Independent suspension on all wheels

- Fake V8 engine

- Working steeringwheel

- Chassis is detachable from bodywork

- openable bonnet/hood and doors

Lately i'm a little bit into simracing and love to watch GT3 racing, so i decided to build my favorite car from this category of racecars. My availability of parts decided the colorscheme.

I hope you like it. Enjoy building and have a nice time everyone.

I like it! Definitely recognizable. The colors are certainly loud, but why not. We don't all have to be building at the level of Jeroen Ottens. This is already way better than what I could build from scratch. :pir-blush:

This is good. If lego would make it, it would be pretty similar, they would not even have removable body, which is really nice feature.

Than´k you astynax and Jurss for your kind commets. I've just rebuild some things on the front and ordered some parts to clean the colorscheme a bit.

If the parts are changed i'll post an update. Does anyone know a good way to ad some octan and interior (dashboard) stickers? Is there a way to print some with an inkjet Printer?

I've used an inkjet printer to make stickers before by printing on sheets of labels (like would be used on envelopes.) It's not great, and I expect there are better solutions, but it works.

You are missing a small brick section under the left winglet on the front bumper

I once took a lot of cool photos and noticed afterwards that one mirror was folded in and it was really bothering me, so I thought I'd point this out :laugh_hard:

The overall build is quite good. I like the grille a lot, t looks great. You should look into changing the headlights though. Just two white rigid hoses or minifigure bars will improve the design so much. Check out the parts list of the Sian if you want to know which parts I mean.

I create decals using the following method:

1. Print using a colour-laser printer on standard 70/80gsm paper.
2. Cover decal with clear packing tape, ensure no bubbles
3. Cut out decals
4. Soak cut-out decals in a basin of cool water until paper dissolves, or is soft enough to be rubbed out with your fingers
5. The decal should have transferred to the clear tape, and can be applied to the tile/panel.

That's neat; I'll have to try it sometime!
