Voodoo Hand Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Horrible indeed, the thunderstorm was even above our house, in Friesland...Anyway, the burning news has already been frontpaged and there is a thread about it here. lol, Friesland? Where in Frieslland are you then? Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Any updates dear Captain? No need to rush of course! I'm just curious to see more of this fantastic project, even now the real thing is burned to the ground... I think that happening made the reference sources quite thinner. I hope you have some good pictures! Especially from the interior, since I can't find any pictures of it on the web. Cheers! Quote
Fluyt Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 The only thing that makes it slightly less worse is that it was "just" a replica, and that we have the wonderfull tribute that is CGH's (/CBH's) amazing ship. But still, a sad moment. Can't wait to see more of the lego-version though. How come the ship got burn? There was a fart lighting contest onboard. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted August 16, 2009 Eurobricks Emperor Posted August 16, 2009 One more week and I'll see the latest update of the Prins Willim with my own eyes Quote
L-space Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Just read in the newspaper that the ship has been sold to the Talsma shipyard in Franeker and that she will be restored to her former glory. Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Great news! Some time ago I read somewhere that they would not rebuild the ship, so all my hope was gone and now I suddenly see this good message! I'm totally happy now And also, it will be rebuilt in Franeker, so that's about an hour driving from where I live! Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted November 5, 2009 Author Posted November 5, 2009 Just read in the newspaper that the ship has been sold to the Talsma shipyard in Franeker and that she will be restored to her former glory. Yes, the rebuild will take about 3 years, and then she will be sold after. I hope that she stays in Holland after she is sold... Quote
celie Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 this is left of it: i found some pictures from inside Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Nice pictures, did you take them by yourself? When I see this I think it's certainly possible to rebuild it, it's not thàt much damaged. Quote
Ingmar Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 When I see this I think it's certainly possible to rebuild it, it's not thàt much damaged. I don't think so, the flames looked quite powerful when I saw the pictures of the fire. I'm not an expert, but in my opinion, even if the hull seems to be intact, the inside damages may be critical and the flames probably fragilized the structure. It is a great pity to see the stern totally destructed with only some parts of the floor remaining...Well, thank you very much for the pictures. Quote
Rick Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 i found some pictures from inside I suppose these are from before the fire... Quote
RocketSeason Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Oh this pains my soul! Good thing we can preserve it in LEGO form! Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 Though it is sad, luckily she will be rebuild. Might i make a friendly request not to fill up my topic about it any more, unless you have some new info? Thanks! Quote

Fires-storm Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 (edited) This ship looks to be another beauty of the seas under your belt, captain, can't wait to see her complete, keep up the good work! It was a shame about the fire news, but at least yours shall live on! and the lion is impressive, but I agree it kinda looks small^^" Edited January 27, 2010 by Fires-storm Quote
Ryan_T Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Might not want to get high hopes, He may have scrapped the model! I remembered seeing this before, When I checked the date I knew I'd seen it once! Anyway, Updates or Build-it-again please? Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 Well I am still working on it, but unfortunately my camera has broken down. Progress is also rather slow because of other time consuming things... But updates will come me harteys! Quote

the_green_avenger Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Man... both you and teddy have had extremely slow progress on your ships. Hope you get around to fixing your camera. (and those dockworkers rebuilding the real thing) Words cannot descibe how excited I am about this project! I probably don't need to tell you this, but keep up the great* work! *When I say great, I mean super, totally, extremely, insanely awesome... Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted April 5, 2010 Author Posted April 5, 2010 Ok, time for a little update! First an overall shot, you can see the parts of the hull that will stay open, to show the interior: Length wise: The main hold interior: The main hold, with the main hatch in place: The cable room, where the soldiers stayed during the trip: The master gunner's room: And last but not least, the mosaic that resembles the painting most ships had on the ''wulft'': Right now I need to install the LED lights in the lower interior, which is basically finished. Then I can start on the gundeck. Feedback is much appreciated! Quote
General Armendariz Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 It looks amazing so far, LEDs are a nice touch! But will there be easy access to the lower decks when finished? Like a modular ship? Quote
