Can anyone tell what part is used for the piston?

Hard to tell, but the pistons look like half-pegs with 1x1 round tiles on top.

I like this little set. For 10 bucks you get a kinda classic (as in 90s) looking set with gears, chains and maybe a little "3 cylinder" engine (?).

Dito. The only thing I don't understand are the 2 yellow axles.. I mean, why?

I think it is "classic" color codding - 3/7/11 axles are in gray, 5/9 in yellow, or vise versa. Concidering its low-age rate, it has all "reuired" simplifications, like color codding for axles.

The B-model looks even better than the A-model. Very nice for a small set, gotta love those panel extenders too. Now I just wish they would be available in more colours...

I'm glad they started using the cam pieces for the fake engines. Much more smoother and less binding.

This would work. I already like this set:

The one towards the rear wheel attaches the 3-7 bent beam. About the front one: There is a grey piece (beam or connector) in the middle of the bottom that I could not identify.

I just meant: Why yellow and not grey ;-)

Schwarz hätt' ich auch greifbar.
(Translation: would you like to see it with black axles?)

Must have set, it loks like bikes are the best technic sets price-parts, I bought the lime snow bike twice, the ducati almost twice I am still thinking to do it and now this, twice or more  .

LOVE this little set. Definitely getting two of them, like i did in end of 2019 with Mini Xerion...

And that mystery grey part under the engins is this one - 250x250p.jpg It used to provide attachment point for exchaut pipe.

Since the first review and speed build is available (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELUtoECVxjQ) I managed to model this little bike in Studio. All parts correct except the new 2x4 panel extensions at the tank (used 2x3). Love the 3 cylinder in-line engine with the cam pieces. And yes, those two yellow axles should have been light bley instead.
