They will be normal minifigures as LEGO retired the long legs.

August 2021

Quote

“One of the things that we like about Darth Vader is that he’s not taller than the other characters,” Jens says. “But he’s also kind of funny-looking because he isn’t taller. And that’s LEGO. That’s how it’s supposed to be. I don’t think we’re going to change that.

“We will constantly update characters from time to time, like printing and maybe new elements and so on. But we’ll always have the LEGO DNA, so it’s simplified a little bit, and the humour and fun should always be in it.”

I don't mind this at all.

Me neither. The longer extremities on the Toy Story 3 minifigs only worked because they had oversized heads. Try putting on normal-sized heads and you’ll see how horrific and cursed that looks :laugh_hard:

And no, the new bigfig head introduced with last year’s Thanos fig doesn’t improve the look in the slightest :snicker:

I still think LEGO should make new longer legs, nothing too out there, just slightly longer. I don't think children will care if the humans and the blue elves are the same height thought. I don't care at all for the movie coming out, but have high hopes for some interesting pieces.

Another mobile game has been revealed, a mmo shooter. Avatar Reckoning. There is another called Avatar Pandora Rising which is like clash of clans and the Ubisoft Avatar Frontiers of Pandora videogame. It's clear Disney and Lightstorm Entertainment are going to promote this movie hard.

Is Avatar theme really on the way? I’m kinda skeptical about this.

Yes, it was confirmed by a reliable leaker and Greekbricks.

Well, I don’t know why I’m not convinced - just in my guts - but ok.

It‘s the „My Friends… And Zoidberg“ trope  The joke is that you name a group and then a person separately, implying they‘re not part of that group.

The way you stated it, the sentence could be read as you implying that Greekbricks isn’t reliable :snicker:

Probably september or october.

Ah, 2HY then. Okay thanks.

I wonder if there would be new body mold for Pandora aliens? In other words, I’m not talking about normal minifigure torso or legs.

I actually think most of the Pandora aliens will be brickbuilt with maybe some small ones as molded creatures. Depends on how many we get, I expect a set baaed on a beach hut of the Na'vi, one of those plesiosaur aliens but brick built, the crab mech, an RDA ship and an AMP suit. Depends on how many sets we get but this theme has lots of potential. I hope we get a gooe mix to get this theme started strong.

I’m not a huge fan of built-brick creatures. It would be cool to see blue-skinned aliens (i forgot the name of that tribe) coming in a new mold like minifigures.  But i do think dragon-like creature would be a brick-built creature for sure.

If Quaritch is not back as a human in the sequels but as an avatar, still no idea how they bring him back, I hope they do a set based on the final battle from the first movie to get a minifig of him.

If they really plan to have him as the main villain for all four of the sequels, he better be more than just a simple greedy human   I hope he comes back as more of a mystical/supernatural threat, like an evil parasitic counterpart to the symbiotic link the Na‘vi share with their environment

I thought the same thing for City Farm.

Just saying.

They won't have a nose. But if they use that head piece I'd really like hem too.

I could honestly see them doing a nose. The na'vi have catlike features and catlike minifigures that have been released with noses in the past (CMF Lion from Wizard of Oz, CMF Cat Costume Girl). Anything's possible, though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

LEGO doesn't seem to do noses anymore. Just like dropping the long legs. Fred Flintstone didn't get a nose, then there are no more noses.

They only seem to feature a character‘s nose if it‘s an essential element to their design, like in Dobby‘s case :classic: The noses of the Na‘vi aren‘t pronounced enough to justify them being part of their minifig designs IMO
