What are the odds of the CMF still happening though? Is it definite that Muppets and Series 23 are the only releases on that front this year?

Pretty much non-existent.

I still don’t get why they suddenly changed the numbering system for the 6-packs. Them having different numbers than the 36-packs makes sense for inventory purposes and whatnot, but why use regular set numbers? And not even ones that make any sense?

That’s like if they started to sell those 3-in-1 bundle sets under regular set numbers, causing them to appear as part of our normal set lists. …could you imagine the delicious outrage :laugh_hard:

This makes me question it as well. There's an awful lot of confidence put into the notion that they will be 6-packs for the upcoming cmf's but couldn't they still be actual different themes?

They have the same codenames as the other two series, so they have to be 6-packs for them :shrug_oh_well:

Honestly I still don't completely trust this list from electricbricks, but we'll see

Why would you trust a pseudo-leaker with no track record over a retailer?

Begone with your logic.

Bruh, it's a retailer. Those are codenames from LEGO.

You're being really illogical.

IF it does end up happening it will be totally unrelated to the disproven leaks, so not plenty

Sorry, guys, I'm behind here. So no Marvel CMF Series 2 happening this year? Or just the beginning of this year? Is there a chance we could get the series later this year?

Supposedly there’s only two more series this year making three total: Muppets in May and Series 23 in September. So not only are we not getting another Marvel CMF this year but we’re not even getting a fourth series so it looks like they really did decrease to 12 figures per series just to cut costs.

Sorry, once again, just trying to understand. So only three series this year?: Series 22, Muppets and Series 23?

Yes, that’s it

Damn, well that's a huge bummer.

Bruh, why 2 normal ones? Why not have series 23 next year?

Because this is presumably going go be a Series commemorating the 90th Anniversary of Lego. I guess this just might mean that Lego will do three licensed series in 2023 to preserve Series 24 for 2024. As much as I was predicting Marvel Series 2 this year, it was admittedly a bit unrealistic  to expect another series so soon on my part. I just hope Lego finds some other way to represent this year’s Disney+ shows.

Given that 2022 is the 10th anniversary of The Avengers, one of the most important movies of the early MCU and the movie that launched this theme, I would be very surprised if this isn't based on the MCU.

If it's based on The Avengers they could include missing characters like Selvig and maybe even pull Pierce, Sitwell and Rumlow from Endgame

It's pretty clear that the Daily Bugle is not MCU related, so no?

What does the Bugle have to do with this? *huh*

Gotcha, that'll do it then!

We are discussing a hypothetical $500 set, no?

If is the continuation of the Marvel Modular series, of which the Daily Bugle is the first, then it will not be MCU based.

Marvel Modular series

There is no such thing… yet. And even if there was, who says they all have to be comic-based? Pretty hard to establish a pattern based on a sample size of N=1

Edited by BrickBob Studpants

If the Avengers tower is comic based they could release a lot of comic book character that did not appear in the MCU. I won't bet surprised if Wolverine shows up, he has to appear in another set since the mechs don't have exclusive minifigures.

Releasing a comic-based $500 set for the 10th anniversary of a theme kickstarted by the first Avengers film would be a bit tone-deaf  This theme simply would not exist if it weren‘t for the MCU (yeah yeah, the MCU in turn wouldn‘t exist without the comics, but that‘s beside the point)

Probably. I just hope we get a list with set names soon. Even 1 x men set would make me happy, or Wolverine branded too.
