People are sick of Venom because LEGO keeps shoving the same exact comic version down our throats, with a very minor change every few years, but I don't think anybody would complain if LEGO did more unique variants of Venom (be it from comics or movies). People love Venom, and they'd love more Venom in LEGO. The problem is, we've been getting the same exact variant since 2018. No one wants that anymore, doesn't matter if he's alone or in a Venom mech. Quote
TobyAis Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 I wouldn't say no to a bigfig Venom personally Quote
thebricksbear Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 (edited) Is the "Shuma Gorath" set out tomorrow? It seems really early but I swear I saw that somewhere... Edit: looks like it's on Lego.com... my bad! Edited December 31, 2021 by bricksandabear Quote

TurnOffTheDark Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 I wonder if Ant-Man Quantumania will have 1 set like the last 2 films Quote

Ant Man is the single most unappreciated part of the MCU (okay, maybe Captain Marvel, but still). I mean, we’ve gotten one (widely available) set for each movie, both at a 20$ price point. It’s seriously lacking, especially when there are some solid sets that could be made. Quote

A movie as huge as MoM didn't even get all of it's main characters covered while Black Panther is getting a whopping 4 sets. Who knows what they'll do with Quantumania Quote

I’m sure we’d all love a D2C Pym Laboratories suitcase skyscraper, but the only thing I can think of from the first two movies that could make a good set is the fight atop the toy train between Ant-Man and Yellowjacket. And even then, that was Thomas the Tank Engine. There might be a branding conflict there. Admittedly we have no idea what Quantumania’s all about, so I agree that multiple sets would be nice. But in terms of builds I don’t feel like anything’s really missing from the movies . . of course that’s not true for the minifigures, there are so many characters we need, but most of them can be made with customs fairly easily. I know the set from the first Ant-man film played into this idea with the bricks but an Ant-man set that focuses on the idea of 1 large almost life-size item (like the suitcase lab) with the mini-figs representing an actually shrunken down Ant-man and Wasp would be so good. Okay that genuinely does sound awesome. Like that one Fantastic Beasts set with the occamy that was giant to minifigures but shrunken to us people. Fingers crossed we get something like that for Quantumania? I’d be entirely on board! Quote

I mean, Lego loves car chases…there were several of those in the second movie, and they without a doubt could have done an extended lab. The train fight was certainly neat, but I think some sort of scene at Pym tech could work too. Luis’s van would have worked too, if it had not been made for the Endgame wave 2. Admittedly, it’s not really sets that are missing, it’s perhaps more the pretty high number of gigs that actually contribute a lot to the story a lot that just weren’t covered. Quote

There are definitely more scenes that could make for a neat set. Just some very rough ideas off the top of my head: Ant-Man $15-20 - Ant-Man vs Falcon Figures: Ant-Man, Falcon Build: Avengers Compound warehouse facade with some play features $30 - Pym Industries Infiltration Figures: Ant-Man, Hope, Hank, Darren Cross Build: presentation area in the Pym laboratory with a display for a Yellowjacket nanofigure $20-30 - Ant-Man vs Yellowjacket (remake) Figures: Ant-Man, Yellowjacket Build: out of scale toys, could get really creative with this one Ant-Man and The Wasp $15-20 - Restaurant Fight Figures: Wasp, Ghost Build: destructable tables, chandelier, etc $70 - San Francisco chase Figures: Ant-Man, Wasp, Luis, Ghost, Sonny Burch Build: Sonny's car and Giant-Man, a Minecraft head could be printed to represent the shrunken down lab $20-30 - Quantum Tunnel fight Figures: Ant-Man, Wasp, Ghost, possibly Janet Build: Quantum Tunnel Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 It really hurts me that the April set is almost definitely a mech dual-pack. I'd love to get a regular Ant-Man set with an updated helmet. Quote

Scarilian Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 (edited) Summary so far: APRIL 1st 76202: Wolverine Mech Armor 76203: Iron Man Mech Armor 76204: Black Panther Mech Armor 76219 (Ant-Man $19.99 / 20€ 298 pieces) MAY 1st 76207 (Love and Thunder; 20€, 159 pcs) 76208 (Love and Thunder; 50€, 564 pcs) AUGUST 1st 76211 (Wakanda Forever; 50€, 355 pcs) 76212 (Wakanda Forever; 10€, 58 pcs) 76213 (Wakanda Forever; 30€, 355 pcs) 76214 (Wakanda Forever; 80€) UNKNOWN 76215 (Hulkbuster D2C; 250€) - Possible March release like prior 76105 or 76042 ?: The Infinity Saga Accessory Set (15€) 30443: Spider-man Bridge Battle Polybag 76210 (500€ D2C) - Unclear if Marvel or DC Thor's Hammer I would not be surprised if 76209 is 'Thor's Hammer' which would allow people to buy the hammer before the original planned release of Thor: Love & Thunder which was May 6th 2022 before the recent delays - it would also fit with the numbering of the other Thor sets. Edit:76209 (120€) has now been revealed as DC :( On 1/1/2022 at 1:51 AM, BigA_7 said: If the rumours about the no way home set and Raimi sets was true, when would you guys expect them to release? In general the day people celebrate the anniversary of Spider-man is the 1st August, regardless of if this date is actually correct in regards to the release of Amazing Fantasy #15. As such it makes the most sense for Lego to release any Spider-man legacy sets between June 1st and August 1st. As for the NWH set, the movie is expected to get a digital/physical release around March so to capitalise on the movie's release they could have the NWH set release in March. Personally I feel we might not get the NWH set until June though as the D2C Hulkbuster will likely be a 1HY release, probably March. Edited January 3, 2022 by Scarilian Quote
