100% won’t be this, but I would love it if it was an Infinity Sage phase one set that consisted of 6 dioramas (similar in scale or bigger than the Black Widow SDCC set) that represent the first 6 movies of the Infinity Saga.

have like Tony Stark and Ho Yinsen in a cave build for Iron Man, Tony Stark and Whiplash on the race course for Iron Man 2, Hulk and Abomination for Incredible Hulk and so on.

they would all go on a large base for display purposes.

That set has 230 pieces, so a 500€ set would have around 23 of those dioramas

Inb4 it ends up being a UCS Quinjet/Helicarrier

While a Quinjet would be a suitable candidate for a UCS-style Marvel set, there‘s no way it‘s iconic enough to deserve a $500 set  A remake of the 2015 Helicarrier is the more likely option out of these two, but also my biggest fear. Where am I supposed to display a second one of these monstrosities? :laugh_hard:

I wouldn't mind a giant quinjet, but I would not be a fan of another helicarrier. I know it's been awhile since the last one, but there are so many MCU UCS sets you can make that would do well, not just the helicarrier!

I don't know what the fuss is, I personally cannot wait for the 20,000 piece Lego Art set where you can recreate classic comic covers.

You fool! The standard $120 mosaics have an average of 3500.444 pieces. This gives us an average PPP of $0.0343. The world map, a larger, $250 mosaic in the same style, has 11695 pieces, with a PPP of $0.0214. From this, we get 14,577 pieces if we go off the standard mosaics, and 27,454 pieces if we create a graph using both price points to see how as the price of the mosaic increases, PPP goes down. Now, the World Map does not have a licensing fee, unlike every single $120 set, so the true PPP would likely be slightly higher, putting out total piece count somewhere in the middle. However, my initial research missed a solution to this problem: the Floral Display. (I'm also going to mention here that we're not counting the rolling stone set, as it uses a lot of parts that aren't 1x1 studs or mosaic backboards) This unlicensed mosaic allows us to re-do our graph for solely unlicensed sets, getting us a potential $500 set of around 24,673 pieces. We can then look at the difference between the licensed $120 sets and the hypothetical unlicensed one at  4946 pieces. That's an estimated average licensing fee of... 30.23%. Wow. Since this is totally how lego accounts for licensing costs, and because every company/estate they work with totally gives them the same fee, we can apply this to our graph and get a $500 licensed mosaic at 17461pieces. 17461 divided by 23 is approximately 759, so clearly we're going to get ~759 piece movie poster mosaics of every film in the infinity saga.

Promobricks are teasing a video today. No hint towards what it could be, not even what theme it’s about, but here’s to hoping it concerns the D2C set :excited: It’s pretty much the only secret left for this year!

Stand down, it was announcing their new English youtube channel :pir-laugh:

I know you're only joking, but I would absolutely buy that

And their big launch story was the reveal of another Fast and Furious set.

Why have the $500 set announcement when we have FaMiLy? *the rocktms  off a cliff and punches through a concrete wall as an allegedly nonpowered character*

Just curious, are all the Sanctum windshields missing some print on the bottom right?

I think that's just how the printing works. If you look it's on the bottom left too (just a little harder to see since it's not supposed to be bronze on the bottom left), it's just hard to print by those handles.

This deserves more credit than is going to get, but good work. I particularly enjoyed the completely accurate and obviously solidly broad spectrum assumptions.

At the moment the only Guardians of the Galaxy sets I have are the 2 Inifity War spaceships but I plan on getting the advent calendar and when I get to both days I think I will use starlord's body with Nebula's head and hands to make a non Christmas nebula. Do we think that they will actually wear the Christmas jumpers in the holiday special? I mean it feels weird for Nebula to wear the face of someone she hates so much.

Surely not, christmas sweaters are basically legos way of sticking it to people who buy advent calendars for the figures 🤣

Watch the Hulkbuster turn out to be the $500 set, I’d laugh my megablocks off :laugh_hard:

I’m pretty positive Hulkbuster numbering and price is not changing. Still should be $350 and coming in October

A board game for Across the Spider Verse has revealed

Ben Reilly's Scarlet Spider

will be making an appearance in the film, and now I really hope we get some sets, or at least loose tie ins like the 2019 wave

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but best case scenario we get the same minifigure we got a few years back, no?

Not that I'm complaining, I really like it, but I don't know how they could update it in any way to make it better.

That's a fun idea, I was thinking of just throwing a blonde hair piece to emulate the 'what if' Nebula with a Christmas sweater.

That said, I always have a hard time justifying the cost of an advent calendar. For what you're paying, you're not getting much.

If they did it'd be just like Miles from 2015 to 2019, just a little upgrade with a few minor tweaks. Not that it needs updating, that figure was amazing (yes pun intended), it's more about the potential to get more Spider Man that isn't just Peter, Miles and Gwen every wave

Despite reusing all the same villains for 3 years, Spider Man always sells. As I remember reading somewhere the villains included are always based upon characters kids would be exposed to, such as Mysterio being prominent after FFH. And this new Spider Verse film is meant to include 250 or something characters (the last had like 40), so I'm really hoping this film could reignite the Spider Man spark. I really don't want to see Amazing Friends wave 2 next year, it had some cool parts for figures sure, but it also had a clear singular target audience, it can't be hard to get a balanced wave that kids will love and adults can appreciate
