THELEGOBATMAN Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 Bunch of movie delays. No Blade sets in 2023. We're gonna have to wait until January 2025 for Fantastic Four in LEGO. Quote
Scarilian Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 (edited) @Moon_Knight@Legocentrico Thanks, glad I could help :) I'd generally expect we'll see the Hulkbuster between the 21st October (2 weeks prior to VIP release on the 4th) and the 1st November (Store Calendar Release Day). If we get any leaks prior to that, it would be nice, but I think considering the mixed opinions on pricing perhaps seeing it officially revealed will help re-assure people interested in the set. 18 hours ago, Mandalorianknight said: the molds already exist, don't they? Yeah, trying to think of what the appeal would be and that's the only thing I could come up with - the idea of the molded Rocket Raccoon being used to justify the pricing more-so than the standard Lego figure hence the decreased piece count compared to other mechs? 18 hours ago, THELEGOBATMAN said: Bunch of movie delays. As such our 2023 Calendar has opened up a bit, February, May and July have films but that's it. Our film-based sets will be very front year heavy - so I hope Lego have some legacy sets planned to keep us on our toes from July 2023 to May 2024. This would be a perfect time for Legacy sets to release... if Lego is hopefully giving us more of those. Edited October 12, 2022 by Scarilian Quote
Legocentrico Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 “I really hope we wind up getting accurate sets for the future films without having to wait ages.” I wonder if all these changes don't end up making the sets worse. Not all of them, but for example Blade: a hypothetical set should have been released in a year, so I guess Lego had already started designing it. Now will they change director, change screenplay, are we in danger of getting a set inspired by the old film? What do you think about it? Quote

Depends if they were seeing the Blade set(s) filling the 2nd half of the year (which I doubt they were). I don't think they would add anything new to replace them at this point so anything for 2HY is already planned to come out then. Legacy sets or classic comic/animated show sets they use to do would be good Quote

Scarilian Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 (edited) Spider-man 4 is currently rumored to be July 2024, so if we are getting NWH sets they'd probably have to be between 2HY 2023 and 2HY 2024 otherwise they probably won't bother. 5 hours ago, Legocentrico said: Now will they change director, change screenplay, are we in danger of getting a set inspired by the old film? What do you think about it? Lego sets are generally based around accessibility to concept art. I'd guess that the concept art would probably be carried over to whoever the new director is that they find. Similarly, some action scenes will have already been planned out as Marvel normally have a seperate team direct the action for films - especially if they are CGI intensive. I think it'll probably wind up being mostly accurate in terms of locations, but figures have the largest chance of being varied - other than Blade as his design and outfit has probably been selected already so they can do CGI models of him for fights. 1 hour ago, upliftingbricks said: Depends if they were seeing the Blade set(s) filling the 2nd half of the year (which I doubt they were). Yep, typo. Fixed it. End of next week would be my earliest guess of an official reveal. If it leaks prior, that's cool I guess, but I think they'd want to capitalize on it with a reveal before November. Edited October 12, 2022 by Scarilian Quote
Legocentrico Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 The specialized sites, about the old script, report few action scenes, and not particularly brilliant. So I think they are decided by the director in charge… okay, I hope at least the minifigures are accurate 🤞 Quote

No. The set comes with a fully functional time stone, that's why it's so expensive, and why the release window is like that. 2 hours ago, Scarilian said: Spider-man 4 is currently rumored to be July 2024, so if we are getting NWH sets they'd probably have to be between 2HY 2023 and 2HY 2024 otherwise they probably won't bother. 2HY 2023 is my best bet. Especially now that the film schedule opened like that. 1 hour ago, Legocentrico said: The specialized sites, about the old script, report few action scenes, and not particularly brilliant. BrickBob Studpants Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 I doubt Blade would get more than two sets, so I‘m not be sure why this delay is supposed to affect the 2023 set list in any major way Quote

Seemingly nothing new film related between July 2023 and potentially May 2024. "it's more a hope that Lego had something planned" for that period that will have the mass appeal needed to keep people invested in the theme for a gap of over 10 months where we won't get a new MCU film for them to base sets on - e.g. legacy sets Edited October 12, 2022 by Scarilian Quote

Luckily, there is still a lot of potential for more Infinity Saga sets in the meantime. Also, NWH. Just saying Come on TLG, it‘s right there! Quote

But that's just marvel studios movies, what about the Sony marvel movies, could we perhaps see sets for the into the spiderverse sequels or Spiderman 4 or the rumoured amazing Spiderman 3 or accurate NWH sets? Caps Beard Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 (edited) I’d suggest everyone go take a look at the usual # on Instagram. For clarity, the Hulkbuster has leaked Edited October 14, 2022 by Caps Beard Quote

By the scale of Tony on the back of the box, Hulk would be about as big as the foot, so clearly this has to be a Galactus or Celestial-buster Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Too bad IG still doesn‘t show anything but the top 9 posts, I‘d like to see it Quote
NXS7 Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 If I made it out correctly the size looks like it's 26 inches, which is almost the same height as the Daily Bugle Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Nvm, my sis sent me the picture That looks seriously impressive! Not sure I‘ll be able to display it where I initially wanted Quote
Changbricks Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 I think the 'codpiece' is throwing me, the scale is way off imo Regards, Changbricks Quote
DaleCooperFBI Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 You’re onto something here. Something about the dimensions of the codpiece really draw attention to it, it almost feels like the build is being weighed down by the Hulks very own buster. REally disappointed with this build. Quote
PGBQW Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 This has to be one of the ugliest lego sets I've seen on my entire life. Why is he standing like Crash Bandicoot? Quote
mirkwoodspiders Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 (edited) I think it looks really good, but I still wish they'd used the slot and price-point for something else. This feels like a "see it in person before deciding whether or not to purchase" sort of model because of its imposing size. Absolutely enormous. Edited October 14, 2022 by mirkwoodspiders Quote
Ghostcat Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 (edited) Holy shit How is my tiny Moc better than the£500 set. Im so dissapointed and laughing at it. The chest opens up . Thats cool however the designers completly missed the gold loading arms that hold the chest on are supposed to move with it, Heck they dont even reach the chest wtf! Edited October 14, 2022 by Ghostcat Quote
mrcngrck Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 (edited) something feels really off in this. looks like some kind off prototype for set, not actual set. it's need a little bit more work... Edited October 14, 2022 by mrcngrck Quote
Childe_Roland Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Gotta say thanks to LEGO for making this set so ugly that I have absolutely no desire to buy it. Quote
