Yeah sadly you're probably right. My thinking was sanctum set minus a few figs and a few hundred pieces might be 200 dollars. But looking at how much the regular modulars prices have jumped up a marvel one seems unlikely.

This could be an advent calendar? Harry Potter and star wars also have sets for the same price in August too. I know they are usually September but the harry Potter one has been mooted as and advent calendar.

But the bookshop is 200, and target had the sanctum for 200, which I’m guessing is before price increase, so $200 could still be a modular, but then again, I just built the sanctum, worth 250

The X-Mansion is just wishful thinking on my part. MCU X-Men is still several years away and I'll take anything we can get before then. The bright side is that Lego isn't shy about releasing multiple sets based upon animated series such as Spidey & His Amazing Friends, DC Superhero Girls and What If so at least X-Men 97 has a chance.

I do hope the new Quinjet becomes the new standard for Marvel vehicles going forward. That and the 2021 Benatar have really set the bar and I'm curious to see if the new $100 GOTG Vol 3 ship will be done in a similar manner complete with display stand. The Blackbird will certainly need the same amount of interior space to be able to seat the entire team.

Even ignoring that it has to be smaller than the Bugle, I can't imagine a modular building that isn't the Avengers tower.

Like sure, the Baxter Building/Oscorp/X Manor are a thing, but there's exactly zero chance we're getting those any time soon (if at all).

The X-Mansion wouldn't even work as a modular building. Its supposed to be a secluded manor in the countryside, not part of a large city block located in the heart of NYC like the other Marvel buildings are.

Hypothetically if Lego were to ever release it as a set I'd expect it would be done in the form of a dollhouse facade like Arkham Asylum and Newbury High School were. Given how similar the exteriors are between the three it can easily be pulled off at that $150-200 price range.

Black Panther bust as well, didn't take long for the prices to drop. Wonder if that will be enough to make people want to buy them, Queer Eye has been 40% off for a long time now and it's still keeping shelves warm.

X-mansion at a similar style/size to those sets would be great if it came with a decent selection of figs (including, say, professor X with wheelchair, beast, cyclops and gambit with playing cards)

Just saw, pretty happy but would've preferred 30% off. I think I'll bite at this price. Can't build it until late January anyway so if I find a better price I can always return it. I think it's really embarrassing for LEGO that all these D2Cs have to be price slashed after less than two months to move more inventory. Hopefully sets are better priced in 2023 and 2024.

an x-mansion playset is certainly more likely than a modular x-mansion, IF it will have a central role in the series, and above all IF lego decides to dedicate a line.  "what if" got two mechs, and it was MCU.  x-men is a theme with a difficult past and still far from the MCU

I really don't think MCU status really plays much of a deciding factor for Lego. WandaVision, Loki, FATWS, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Ms Marvel and She-Hulk are all MCU and together have a combined total of ZERO sets. More likely "What If?" being animated simply made it a more marketable product for young kids along with "Spidey & His Amazing Friends".

As far as X-Men as a brand goes I can't imagine it doing any worse for Lego than the way Wonder Woman 84, The Eternals, Captain Marvel and Shang-Chi each warmed the shelves and clogged the clearance bins. Even Wakanda Forever isn't doing that great in stores at the moment, especially the large set that nobody's touching even on discount.

I suspect an x-mansion would appeal more to marvel fans than a bunch of sets from one of the least popular MCU films to date (eternals) or an oversized hulkbuster no-one seems to want.

Certain fan-made sets share the same numbering as several of the sets that are currently listed or rumored for 2023 and are being reported by some sites incorrectly as actual sets, as far as I can tell these are the following however may also include others:

We have no confirmation on any 2023 sets planning to revisit past Spider-man movies, nor any confirmation of doing a set focused around the Black Order or Iron Man 2's Race battle.

So the Spider Man art set is apparently 31209 The Incredible Spider-Man, which is probably just a mistranslated preliminary name, but really triggers me as a fan

There's a licensed CMF series rumored for September. As to not get my hopes up, what themes could the series realistically be based off of? Harry Potter? Disney? Star Wars even?

I feel like the BP bust has to sell eventually, as it's in roughly the same vein as the helmets, and once the price lowers people might see it as worth it. As opposed to Queer eye, which even at 40% off still fills shelves wherever I go. I went to target a few days before Christmas for groceries, but I checked on the lego aisle and the only sets with more than 1 copy left were the landspeeder and question mark block (probably due to the prices, most people aren't getting $200 Christmas gifts, especially this year), one of the City Stuntz sets, and a full rack of Queer Eye. Like, 20+ copies all at $60.

At least it's hyphenated, though I agree incredible is probably a translation error.

My guess is it's an easter egg and the set'll be the 3 movie spider men, or something like the batman one where it's comic spidey, goblin, and venom/carnage, but hey, maybe it will be miles, peter B, and 2099 or something.

I hope it's not a third harry potter series before a second marvel one.

I'd hope it's a second Marvel Disney+ series but I think it could be Harry Potter Series 3.

The quality of most minifigures within the Harry Potter sets is close to perfect as it is, does that theme really need a third CMF? Makes much more sense to have it be for Marvel.

The last Harry Potter CMF only gave us two new characters (James and Lily), the others who were at first exclusive later appeared in sets (Griphook, Kingsley and Professor Sprout) and the rest were just different outfits for characters. I really don't think a third could provide much more

this MUST BE MARVEL!  It's the last chance to get the protagonists of the Disney series.. and if they don't cover these they won't cover the next ones and my collection will be very sad :-(

A year ago I would've loved to get another Disney+ MCU CMF series, but I quite honestly don't care anymore.

Didn't really like any of the series except for TFaTWS and Loki. She-Hulk was awful and Hawkeye was bad, while Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel were totally forgettable.

I would think it'll be Marvel, but some other options:

- Harry Potter series 3 w/ characters from Secrets of Dumbledore

- Star Wars (not sure about the rights or not)

- New theme (similar to Looney Toons, Muppets, etc.)

- DC (doubtful considering Lego's treatment the past two years)

 

Also, if we're still getting an Ant-Man 3 set, would it more likely release in Feb/March or June/July?

Honestly, probably Lemon. Potential for more info on which theme Lemon is tomorrow, but we know it is gaming related and is very likely Zelda.

- Series 24 in January

- Disney 100th anniversary in May

- Licensed cmd in September
