Love that they're using a VIDIYO strap from the BeatBoxes as the rope on the handle, from the looks of things.

It looks good for what it is, but not for me. This is another entry into the line of "sets for fans of X property that we want to rope back into LEGO", rather than being for people who are LEGO fans first, in my opinion.

That honestly looks pretty good. I’ve kinda already got my Lego budget set for 2022 but I might get this eventually.

The build doesn’t look as boring as I thought it would, and Lego added a lot of extra detail to make it stand out. The detailed base is neat and I was not expecting to get a minifig and little Asgard trophy room. Very cool inclusions. It looks like a pretty solid display piece overall and it would go well on the Marvel display I’m planning on making when I finally get the Infinity Gauntlet this summer.

My only nitpick is, well, the hair and face on Thor. For nostalgia purposes, I can understand why Lego kept the same exact hair piece and color from the 2012 sets, but it’s still inaccurate as ever. I also don’t think reusing the Endgame Thor face works for a pre-Endgame Thor. His beard should look different and I’m also not crazy about the cartoonish smile. It kinda worked for those Infinity Saga sets last summer but its reuse here is a bit lame. Like I said though, those are just nitpicks. I think it’s cool that we’re finally getting a Thor minifig based off his first movie.

Alright, I was wrong. I'm digging this set more than I thought it would be possible, although I still have mixed feelings.

Finally a Thor from the first movie, really like that minifigure.

The hidden compartment is a fantastic idea, live what they did there.

The build itself is nice, but just as plain-looking as I expected it to be. Would've been better if they made the edges detailed, like they are in the movies.

It doesn't feel like a 100€ set tho. The build is really plain, and one minifigure is not enough to make it an attractive set at that price point.

Promobricks is listing the release as 1st March 2022 and the set will feature 979 pieces retailing at €99.99

Hammer looks pretty insanely 'meh', they could have decorated it - but it feels low effort. You can purchase the basic toy version from Disney for £22/$30 so I cannot see people justifying this set unless they are really desperate for it to be in Lego form. The baseplate seems fairly lacklustre and it's not particularly needed, feels like an excuse to increase the piece count. The included mini segment that represents the artefacts that were in Asgard's Vault is neat, but at this stage fairly sure everyone who wants it has the Infinity Gauntlet and the stones, which is the main appeal of those aspects. I'm guessing Thor is an exclusive version, or at least the Torso is, seems kinda inspired by the first Thor film - perhaps we'll get other Thor legacy sets eventually?

I feel like the simple inclusion of a printed tile piece or even included stickers (at minimum) would have helped add a great deal to the set. It really needs to feel decorated if it's going to be for display and I don't get the vibe this could be weilded or held like Thor's hammer should, especially not by the strap as he has done in several films. In general if it's going to be a display piece then put more effort into decorating the thing you are going to display, if it's going to be for some level of playability then don't bother including the display area and improve the structural integrity rather than adding mini-builds.

No Marvel fan but wow that build is way better than I would have expected from Lego. I would have expected it to be full of exposed studs and gaps.

And the inclusion of an exclusive figure plus the accessories is something the other helmets or whatever sets could learn from.

and concerning detail on the sides of the hammer: looking at the design, I think it would have been hard to pull of stickers or prints with the way it's built.

Oh, so it's 100€ after all. Good to know.

Not that I'm gonna get it, but 120€ was a terrible price.

Agreed, honestly Stormbreaker would have given them more to work with and probably would have been easier to sell to people given it's been used by Thor a lot in the more recent films and seemingly will be his weapon in Thor L&T - even if I have doubts about how popular that film will be. It's also weird it is releasing this year, rather than last as part of the 10th anniversary of Thor - though I suppose it could be bundled into a '10th anniversary of Avengers/Lego Avengers' thing.

At this stage I'm still confused as to how we are lacking a Spider-man bust (We have both Venom & Carnage) and an Iron Man Gauntlet (Like the Infinity Gauntlet) which are arguably things which would be in higher demand - now we are adding Mjölnir into the mix and we'll probably never get a Stormbreaker as I don't see this selling particularly well... and we are getting another D2C Hulkbuster which, even if I have some desire for, is based on the less iconic of the two designs.

Part of me does question if we will see Captain America's Shield and perhaps an Iron Man Gauntlet this year if they are going to celebrate the Phase 1 Films.

That Infinity Gauntlet is fake! According to Hela!

Now my only problem is, it is looking likely Thor Love & Thunder may use this face printing. Which kinda sux.

Would've been a great detail if they brought back the Nano Gauntlet mold, so the fake gauntlet would be for the right hand.

I'm surprised that I actually quite like this set, but now we've seen one of these buildable statues with a minifigure, I'm kinda mad none of the others had one

I can see them doing it moving forward.. coz in doing so somehow they can make the figures for those early films without making playsets and them taking money by making it display expensive ones.

I really love that we’re getting Phase One minfigs. I hope that trend continues. That torso is beautiful. The face should have been different but I’ll just swap it out. The set itself doesn’t do much for me. It’s a neat build that I may pick up at a discount or something. But either way, I definitely need that figure

I mean it’s a hammer I guess. For what it is, it’s incredibly bland—although I love the strap on the handle and the trophy room inclusion is charming.

But I will certainly be picking this up, just to see how much you can whip this thing around before it breaks—for science of course.

Hello everyone.

Thor's hammer is really good. He looks better than I expected. The minifigure of Thor and the Avengers (2012) is not bad. I didn't expect to see her in the set, and even more so in this form. Yes, the hair is the wrong color. It's not very good, but otherwise everything is fine, especially the new print.

As for the set itself, it looks better than I expected, but no more.

I can say that the set is rather for Marvel fans and for those who just want to decorate their table, for example

This might be a wild guess and purely based off of the fact that they made Mjolnir its own set, but what if the $500 D2C set is Asgard? It seems like a good candidate for a big grandiose facade-type of set to "celebrate" (if they are actually celebrating) 10 years of the theme and/or still going with the Infinity Saga line, with some rooms at the back from the movies.

Thor can be included in an Avengers Tower too.

True, but I didn't think of that from the minifig included. Doing all missing Thor figs at once in a single big set could be a selling point as well.

Even if we went by that, his torso design seems to be from Thor 1 and not his Avengers look. At least it goes well with the Loki we got last year!

Yikes, that's bad. The hammer is completely lacking of all of the finer details Mjolnir has, the strap is way too small, the rockwork looks unnatural and feels like an afterthought, the Fake Gauntlet uses the wrong mold and the Thor figure reuses a head that doesn't fit this version at all. The only good thing about this set is the new Thor 2011 torso, making this grey block on a stick a very hard and easy pass.

As soon as we got the Gauntlet last year I’ve been hoping for this, so very pleased I’ll have it soon! Day one purchase for me.

Personally I couldn’t care less about mini figs, but the inclusion is nice for those that do.

So this new Mjolnir set is kinda mixed for me. On one hand the hammer itself looks pretty cool, right shape and good amount of details.

But on another hand we have Thor (2011) mini figure that uses fat Thor face which doesn’t works at all for younger Thor. Hair they used here also doesn’t work that well for younger Thor.

And then there’s the biggest missed opportunity with fake Infinity Gauntlet. In movie it’s right handed one, and LEGO used left handed piece here! I’d understand this decision for left handed mold if we didn’t get right handed gauntlet piece in that Hulk set. But they have the mold to make a movie accurate piece and they decided to cut corners yet again… Like wtf LEGO? If you don’t want to make set great, don’t make it at all! It’s the attention to details that counts!

Glad the hammer exists for people who want it, but I personally I really don't like it all that much. For me it's not even the kind of thing where I think it's cool but wouldn't buy it since I'm not really into display pieces like that, I just think it looks like a big gray brick. I have to wonder, where did the idea for this even come from? It just seems like there are other objects from Marvel and the MCU that would have been more interesting, like Cap's shield.

According to which movie can Thor's hammer be considered?

Thor 1/Avengers due to the minifig’s torso although the vault compartment with the Infinity Gauntlet and Tesseract hints towards Ragnarok

Record it on video and post somewhere, if you can. I'm definitely interested in checking that out
